i had my 20 week scan on wednesday it was amazing watching this little figure wriggle about and seeing all the features of my baby, my partner looked amazed and neither of us could not stop grinning we decided not to find out the sex as its our first but while the midwife was showing us the bottom of the feet i noticed a blob inbetween the babys legs, it was bright white and def was not the umbilical cord as we had seen that and it didnt look like that! i dont know if my partner saw it but i havent said nething. has ne one els found out the sex of their baby, and was it obviouse? its not something i'm worried about but now i just have it in my head it must be aboy, but as long as its healthy i will be happy, i'm just being curiose lol

We just had our 22 week scan. The sonographer assures us he's a boy.All I can say is she must know what she's looking for.One of the pictures they printed she says shows clearly his bits.TBH it could be anyone of several bits of that pic.I just take their word for it.I did have a feeling Seven was a boy,but it was probably wishful thinking and this time I got my wish.I'm far too impatient to wait the full 40 weeks to find out

we found out with our son and the sonographer zoomed in and it was three white blobs. so could be but like jo said theres other things it could be! I couldnt find out with my daughter as apparently girls are very hard to sex whereas boys if they find someting theres no mistaking!

this is a hard one. I was told was told to look at the screen were the lady showed my three white lines and told me its a girl. I had earlier had a 3d scan and told it was a boy. But everyone I have spoke to since has said three lines for a boy. I guess I will just had to let you know when baby born.

I have had my little girl confirmed 3 times now as i keep having to have scans for excess amnio fluid. the girls bits look like 3 lines, a burger as the songrapher described it!!

My boys were very distintive, Harley, my 2nd, there was no mistaking he was a boy, 2 dangly balls and a little willy, bless him, he'll be so embarassed I said that, he is 16 now!xxxxxxxx

i was told three lines for a girl too, but our baby kept it's legs crossed and only flashed us for a few seconds so the sonographer couldn't be sure. i think boy's bits are more obvious and at a 20 week scan would be pretty well formed..

so frustrating having to wait so long to find out, but at the same time it's quite nice to have a surprise! just makes buying clothes a bit difficult..

this is the point where friends and relatives get frustrated at not knowing whether to get pink or blue! we don't really need much newborn stuff as have got all of ben's (who was a surprise too!).. so already got lots of neutral stuff.

am trying not to look at baby girl stuff too much as it's all too cute! everyone keeps telling me this one is a girl, but i don't want to feel disappointed if it's a boy, cos a little brother for ben would be lovely (although i would be outnumbered!).

i didnt mind what i got just desperatly wanted to shop!!!! and for some reason everywhere round here is either pink or blue, no neutral! and i didnt get online untill a month before she arrived, then when she was born everyone brought so much i stil couldnt shop!!! ARGH! so instead she has a ridculous amount of shoes and headbands that ive got lol!

i went into town on saturday determined to buy something with some gift vouchers we got for Christmas, but couldn't bring myself to buy anything neutral as we have so much already.. so came home empty handed (although with full stomach as bought yummy cookies and some very nice fudge hehe!)..

still haven't bought a thing yet, but have washed nearly all of ben's old stuff now.. just need to sort out his old pram/pushchair, carseat and baby sling.. was sposed to be on leave this week and last week, but didn't end up happening - have now added it on to the beginning of my maternity leave.. so stop working three weeks before due date. leaving things a bit late, but as ben was 6 days late, i have a feeling this one might be too.. (hope so, as looking forward to a bit of a rest!).

how's lola's sleeping going? she looks so cute with that headband on!

well she sleeps now but i think shes having a growth spurt as shes feeding about every 2-3hrs and seems like ive not fed her for days each time bless her!!  she has her jabs tomorow im dreading it poor thing! Im terrible for making her really girly!! never thought id have a girl as andrews family is male dominated hes one of 4boys one sister! i keep getting her dresses but then realise how impractical they are little boy clothes are nice and easy!

All i managed to buy when pregnant with lola was a cream snowsuit as jacks were too big for when she needed one! oh and my i candy pear, that was it, drove me mad!! but the amount i spent on the buggy was probably how much i spent on jacks baby clothes, i didnt need to buy him anything, except some prem baby clothes as he was tiny,  once he was born until he was 9mnths!!

I bet your looking forward to your maternity leave, my mum worked until the day before my sister was born a week late, she was mad!! and now sayes she felt really unprepared, whereas with my brother she had two weeks to nest and got obbsessed with re folding all his sleep suits!!

i can't wait til maternity leave.. although work has been okay today as two work colleagues have come back from their leave so i have some help (have been doing everything on my own for the last couple of weeks).. only 16 more days of actual work left - hooray!

still have to sort out some assessments and boring work stuff so time will fly by - it always does when i'm stressing about work deadlines!

we haven't got a new pushchair for ben, even though i've been tempted.. bit too broke at the moment!

hope lola's jabs went okay - i rememer taking ben for his - i felt like the meanest mummy in the world.. it's worse when you take them back and they remember and get upset cos they know what's coming.. but when you think you're preventing such horrible diseases it makes it a bit better.

i think if this one is a girl i won't be able to resist buying impractical dresses!! but we shall see..

hope you get some good sleep tonight and lola's growth spurt is a quick one!
