Confused re ovulation ! Please help!!

Hiya, after some advice, is it poss to ovulate on day 9/10 of your cycle? I average 34 days in my cycle, and periods last about 7 days, had nookie day 8 & 9 then next day got lots of eggy stuff and ovulation pains , is this poss? Not trying at mo but both times were unprotected, however wouldn't be dissapointed if ended up pregnant , just concerned as have to take meds which would need to stop if was pregnant! If this makes any sense to anyone some advice would be appreciated! Thank u x

Hi Jodie, I have a 27 day cycle and tend to ovulate between 2 - 4 days after my period.....not what the text book says lol! So yes it is possible....we're all diferent.

Perhaps you should try one of those ovulation kits, so then you may find a definite date for your ovulation and can then avoid possible problems.

Hi Rebecca Thanks for your reply, I am using the ovulation test kits at the moment to find out when it happens, I have an app on my phone which says I should be ovulating now but the tests arnt coming up as due to ovulate!! So makes me more convinced that I am an early bird in that sense! Funny coz I thought I conceived my daughter just after my period but when all the books said it wasn't possible I doubted myself, since my last post we have decided to start trying again and in an ideal world would like another girl ( 2 boys 1 girl) so be handy to know when I am ovulating really! Hi Jodie, glad I helped. With my youngest son I knew which day I ovulated (2 days after my period) as I felt it. It was the only day that month I got to spend with my partner so I can be pretty sure i concieved around that time. I even knew which day the egg implanted as again I felt it. My Dr took a little convincing that my dates were right and not his but the scan operator was very impressed !

Hi jodie, my ov calender told me that my ov days were 11 and 12 after my period, i bought a ov testing kit just to be sure and started testing from day 9, nothing came up postative even on the suggested days, i had almost given up on them working when on days 15 and 16 i tested posative, i have a 28 day cycle normally so it shows that everbodys body is diffrent, i also had an egg white consistencey cm on them days.

Hi ladies, well I am now 14 weeks pregnant! So yes I definatly ovulated early in jan!! I think so many women go by these calendars and apps for when they should be ovulating and so takes longer, I think testing kits are great idea but maybe try using from day after period ends to get a better idea! Hi all, im sure i ovulate about day 9/10 i have a 26 day cycle and usually get the eggy white stuff on or around these days as well as day 11/12 some months, i read that if you are 'having fun' on or around these days - eggy days, then its good baby timing.  I have health issues so OPK's don't work for me but if you are text book normal then go ahead iv heard lots of positive stuff about them they just didn't work for me.  Re the medication stuff i totally know where you are coming from as mine have to be monitored so i'd tell your dr that you are unprotected just in case as they maybe able to sort out a lesser dose just in case you do get lucky.  Wishing everyone well and lots of luck, take care
