My husband and I decided it was time to try for our second baby about 2 months ago - I had my last period and didn't restart the pill after that, I haven't had a period since then and it's now 5 weeks late, I've done 2 negative pregnany tests yet still no sign of a cycle. I'm not concerned about not being pregnant just want to establish where the heck my cycle has gone.

It wasn't like this at all when we were trying for our first, when I stopped the pill my first period was only about 2 weeks late and then went regular after that - why would it be different now. I'm really concerned that there's something wrong - any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hi dawny

Have answered your other post in toddlers....I would go make an appointment with your gp just to reassure that there is nothing wrong, I know of people who haven't got a BFP until they were already 12 weeks but gp can toa blood test which is more sensitive then hpt.

Good luck

Thanks Erin - I'm off to get a blood test tomorrow, mainly to check my hormone levels but I guess anything else will show up as well!

Not really sure what could be wrong but just a little uneasy about it.

Hopefully get some answers soon xx

OK! They took plenty of blood though, getting lots of hormone tests, thyroid and a full blood count so see what comes of that little lot! Should have results in about a week - gonna be a long week!

How things with you? x

Hiya

Well at least they are doing something, just try not to worry too much about it...I know one of the other forums I go on some of the girls have said that they have gone for a couple of months without getting AF after coming off the pill...hopefully it's nothing I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Things are great with me I got my BFP on Saturday and poor dh is still in shock lol
I'm not supposed to tell anyone (but online friends don't count hehe)

Keep me posted on how things go with the tests, I'm going to be offline from friday for 10 days as we are going on holidays so I will speak to you when I get back

Take care

Luv Erin x
