I need your experience, please ! Missed period but negative pregnancy tests?help

So before you read this, I'm not asking you if I'm pregnant what I want to know is 'has this ever happened to anyone' and if I could possibly be pregnant.
My boyfriend and I are TTC and this is the second month. This month i was meant to start my periods on 1st May . 3 days before my period was due i got a light bleeding that just 'came out' and stopped, I assumed it was implantation bleeding. I took pregnancy tests, all negative. On monday i went to the doctors and got a urine test which also came back negative. I tried to read stuff on internet to see if this has happened to anyone but couldn't find answers, the only thing I found is that it's possible to ovulate later than usual.
I was just wondering if this has happend to any of you? Have you ended up pregnant?

My symptoms:
Heartburn
Tiredness
Nausea
Frequent Urination
Tender Breasts
& Missed Period (10 Days)

With my second baby, I had a negative pregnancy test, and the child is 8 years old now, and I still say he's awkward! 

I got the test done when I was a couple of days late, and I knew I was pregnant, so when it was negative I waited 2 weeks before doing another, which was then postitive.

If you are pregnant, it would be a bit early for the heartburn and nausea, although you would have tender breasts and going to the toilet quite early.

My periods were always regular, before i started taking the pill and after. The most i have ever been late is 3 days. Im 2 weeks late now, my doctor told that i could of ovulated late which means pregnancy tests won't show a positive result yet. I'm going for a blood test tomorrow. Hopefully i'll get the result I want (+) . But if i don't i want to at least get my periods so i know when im ovulating again and can continue TTC.

It is true you can get an incorrect negative result if your hormone levels are too low to dectect (very early on in pregnancy)

I agree most of your symptoms you do not usually get early on in pregnancy - apart from the tender breasts and going to the loo a lot.

However your body does change and where you periods can be frequent and regular your body does like to play tricks on you.

I really hope that you get the result you are looking for, if not dont be disheartened it is early days. Try not to overworry about when you are ovulating and the best time to ttc, just go with the flow and enjoy it otherwise it becomes hard work and a chore as time goes on.

My step sister has 6 kids and she for some bizzare reason always gets confirmation by blood test as urine tests always read negative. If you wait a while and still no period but they still read negative I'd book to see your doc. Good luck and keep us all posted. Fingers crossed for you. x

I too had a three negative tests before I got a postive result - but my breast size was a dead giveaway that I was definately pregnant!  Often worry as I was having alternative medicine to get pregnant at the time!  But my little one is now a healthy 5 year old so no damage done.  All the best - exciting times....

thanks you so much for all the answers I went to the doctors yesterday and got another urine sample taken and i'm going to find out what it is tomorrow . If it's negative and still no period i think i will get a blood test on monday i've been getting headaches lately and quite nauseous which are signs of pregnancy so maybe there's still a chance
