Ok I've made an appointment!

I've got an appt tomorrow at the docs to have my coil removed. I'm really scared now. Its beginning to seem very real!
I went into town today and bought a box of pregnacare - oh help I'm soooo nervous!!

fab! you've just reminded me though, forgot my docs apt tonight! Was going to sort out my contraception before baby no.4 arrives!!! lol

I did go to the docs and after seeing someone come out with a baby on her hip, I was thinking to myself how ridiculous I was trying to have another baby at my age and started to panic. I was just about to go to the counter and tell the receptionist that I'd changed my mind and leave and my name flashed up on the board so I went in.
The doc was fab and was very encouraging and made me feel much better.
He took my coil out and then said he'd see me back there when I was 'blooming'!
He said when I was pregnant to ring up and ask for an early appointment with the midwife and tell them I need an early appointment because I'm not 21 anymore lol

Good luck - sounds like you have a very suportive doctor which is great!

I know when I asked mine to take my coil out he refused as he said he wouldn't take one out or put one in a woman with no children!! Thought I was going to be stuck with it forever!

Cheryl, can't believe the doctor said that - How ridiculous!! i had the coil fitted before children as am allergic to most other contraceptives, my doctors were very supportive. However, didn't work very well, see first ticker!!
