Congratulations! You can go and speak to your doctor at any time, some like to retest, others take your word for it, but you should be given your form to claim free prescriptions / NHS dental care etc as long as you know the date of your last period to calculate your due date. They can then also book you in at whichever hospital you want and arrange dates for scans etc, some places get really busy so the sooner you are in the system the better. Each NHS trust runs differently, but you can pick up leaflets on what to eat and what not to etc and other advice if you do go and see someone.
