Long term TTC & infertility

Hi I am after some reassurance and info regarding Clomid and I wudl be grateful for any help or to hear some similar experiences and outcomes.
DH 36 me 33 TTC 2yrs+. Unexplained subfertility. Started first round of Clomid 100mg CD2-6 this month. Normal menstrual cycle 26-29 days long, but currently CH 33 and no AF! I have never been this late before, apart from when I was pregnant (unfortunately it was a chemical pregnancy).
I have taken two HPT on CD 28 and CD 32 but both BFN. I feel like AF is coming as I have sore boobs and constipation and have some cramps and lower back pain. But I am also shattered and am sleeping loads.
I am really worried that the clomid has stopped my period and messed up all my hormones, but I have also heard that some people don't get a BFP until 4 weeks after ovulation and that Clomid made them ovulate later.
Unfortunately, I am not sure if I ovulated as I did OVK's on CD10-16 and noticed a faint LH line which got darker, but never darker than the other line and then faded away. I stopped testing after that assuming that my LH wasn't strong enough and I didn't ovulate, but I guess I could have ovulated later and not known.
I am very confused!

Thanks ele09. Typically got AF an hour after posting! Wierd how ot can affect people so differently.
Oh well at least I can start round two of my Clomid. Congratualtions on your BFP!
I hope I have some luck. If you don't mind me asking why were you prescribed Clomid?

This is my first time posting anywhere. I try to Google things almost everyday, and figured I would prefer anyone's ideas on my specific situation. I miscarried a year ago in May. Since we started trying again 6 months after, every month my period would be late, and make us get excited for nothing.
Now its been a year since i miscarried, Dr. found that i wasn't ovulating every month, and because of this my progesterone was low. Started AF 5/22, Dr. had me start Clomid day 3-7. Last pill was taken 5/28.
Wondering if you can ovulate later than 10 days, or if the Clomid did work, it was between 3-10 days after the last pill. Dr. told me to test 3 weeks after the last pill. (which was yesterday) Hubs bought digital tests, and I got a BFN. I bought the line tests, but am waiting until Sunday. Since my cycle was so off, my period was a mess before. Wondering when you are expected to start your period after your last dose of Clomid, and if the line test could give an early positive than digital.

Hi ladies. Ok so this is my second time using clomid. My first time using the pill I became pregnant like a month and a half later. So we're trying again now For a second child. Somehow I can't seem to remember exactly how this is supposed to work. I took clomid from day 5-9 and weeks later I had my period so my question is will the clomid still work or do I have to go in for another cycle? Please help...thank you for your ears and eyes

This is the first post I have seen that is actually recent enough to comment on! This has been my experience thus far. My Dr. put me on Clomid starting in July because I have never had regular periods. His comment was that I either don't ovulate or I don't ovulate regularly. My first round was 50 MG from CD 5-9. I did not track my temperature. I did use an ovulation predictor kit. I tested twice daily, morning and evening. I never got a positive for ovulation. I had my progesterone levels checking by blood work done on CD 23. They said they want to see at least a number 10 to show ovulation occurred. My number was 20.2 so I was thrilled. On CD 28, AF arrived. I was disappointed but happy that the medicine was at least working. Try again next month. August I was on the same dosage, CD 5-9. I was also tested again for my progesterone levels on CD 23. My numbers came back in August at an 8.8. I was very disappointed. How could my numbers be so great the first month and then so low this month?? AF came on CD 28. I was happy that it at least seemed like my periods were regular on the clomid. I have never had a 28 day cycle two months in a row like that! So this month, September they upped my dosage to 100 MG. Since about CD 14, which would be around my day for ovulation, I started getting cramps. I was tested for my progesterone levels again on CD 23. Levels came back even lower! 8! However, here I am on CD 32. No period. Been cramping and tired for 2+ weeks and this morning I got a BFN. Clomid does crazy things! I can say this. I have learned that is SO important to just relax. It is in God's hands. My body has felt like crap for 3 months now. Everyone, literally everyone has different symptoms on or off clomid, no matter what the dosage, etc. Prayers for everyone trying! Be patient! We were all get our blessings one day!

JessicaH85, my experience has been similar to yours, although my numbers never started out quite as high. The first time my numbers were tested to try and figure out what was going on, I was between 11 and 12. That was last February. This fall my husband and I decided we were ready to start trying clomid. First cycle my numbers were the same. But I was late and started getting really excited/stressed/nervous trying to wait to do a pregnancy test. After 3 negative tests AF finally came, about 3 days later than normal. This cycle my numbers dropped way down to almost 5, which about put me in a tailspin. I asked the Doc why the fluctuation and she basically said that's just the way it is and upped the clomid dosage to 100 mg. I'm now on day 34 of my cycle, about 5 days longer than it ever was before clomid, and I was quite regular. I haven't taken a test yet, as I've read that clomid can make the cycle up to 35 days long. I can't imagine I ovulated with numbers just above 5, so here I sit vascillating between hoping my period comes so that there's nothing ever crazier wrong with me, and hoping it doesn't but not wanting the disappointment of a negative pregnancy test. You're right, I need to relax and let things happen. But I have to admit the emotional roller coaster isn't quite what I expected on this journey. And it still amazes me how numbers like ours can fluctuate up and down so much. Glad that there are so many supportive groups out there like this one though!
