I have a friend in Japan who I have been speaking to about ttc as she's outside of my immediate circle and I wanted her to go to a shrine in Tokyo and lay a fertility doll for me (superstitious I know!!) but she said you need to eat 'yang' foods to keep your body warm. Things like pumpkin, salmon, herring, sweet potato, carrot etc. - I'm thinking warm in colour?? I might google yang foods and see if there is anything else on it.

First acupuncture session tomorrow too - bring on the chinese medicine way to fight PCOS!!

    Hi ya

Iv been reading a Zita West book and she strongly believes in the power of chinese medicines ect and she refers to yang foods in her book. She also talks about other chinese beliefs such as keeping you abdoman warm during AF and the power of visulisation.
    Its very interesting

I'm really looking forward to starting acupuncture tonight. I had my first consultation last week and it just seems like something positive that I can do whilst my body is haywire! I have Zita West's book and Marilyn Grenville but buried both of them about 6 months ago when I was fed up with ttc so I will dig them back out again. I did find them both helpful before and DH even picked up Zita's and got himself some vitamin supplements!!

Good luck all - I'll keep you posted if I get any advice tonight although she did already say to take chromium supplements which I am doing for PCOS and drink nettle tea. If you haven't tried it, the nettle tea is not as nasty as it sounds!!
