Hi everyone, I have been TTCing since May 2008 and have had two miscarriages, the last in Feb 09. After a year and a bit of trying with no success I've been referred for all the tests etc. Went to gynae a couple of weeks ago and he said that i would have to have a laparoscopy and that they would contact me.

After not hearing anything me and DH decided to TTC as normal this month as i should be ovulating this week (I don't use ov sticks any more as I can't be bothered and they were costing me a fortune!). Anyway got my appointment today and its 14th September. I remember reading loads of scary stuff in the bumpf they gave me about not having unprotected sex before the op in case you get pregnant.

Given the evidence of the last year and a half it is unlikely taht we would get pregnant this month but still now I am unsure whether to reschedule my op. I really dont want to wait any longer but I don't want to be worrying either. I could do a FR before the op but it would still be early in my cycle. I'm so annoyed with myself now for not waiting I just didn't think I would get a date taht quick. Has anybody else been in this situation and does anyone have any advice?????

    Thanksxx

Hi, I'm sorry for all you've been though- it really sucks. I have a hsg booked next week which is less invasive that a lap and dye but does involve dye going through my tubes.

I have to have a pregnancy test on the day and sign a disclaimer saying i can't be pregnant so that if it turns out you are they can't be held liable. I was told not to have sex at all until the test and they wouldn't do it if I was.

It is prob worth phoning up now to ask rather than going for them to delay it further. Do you know roughly it was when you would usually ov? x x

    hi there,

Can i ask, have you had an ectopic pregnancy before?

Hi thanks for replies- Mafia Princess i would roughly be ov this week and have TTC'd twice. I think I am going to have to ring them on monday and rearrange. i'm so peed off with myself becuase i just should have waited for the appointment but I didn't think it would be so soon. I just wanted to get it all over with and I am going on holiday in October so it will probably be ater then Even if there is a 000001% chance i would be pregnant I would just be too paranoid.

Angelheart- no i have not had eptopic before just two m/c at 9 weeks and 7 weeks. It does seem weird to miss a month of TTCing especially when you become programmed to get to it at certain times of the month!

    Thanks
