Miscarriage & pregnancy loss

Friends of ours just lost their baby girl at 22 weeks. She went into labour and the baby was still alive. They tried to slow the process down and gave the baby something to try and speed up lung development however the baby didn't make it.
I don't even know what to say or do. My heart is so broken and it wasn't even me that it happened too. How do I support them? What kinds of things do they need?

Yeah just offer her support, tell her if she needs anything she knows you're there for her, be a shoulder for her to cry on. dont be offended if she pushes you away at first, people grieve in different ways and she may want to be left alone at first. Just remind her you're there when she's ready. I'm sorry for her loss it must be devastating x
