Had my official scan today and thankfully all is ok but I'm only measuring 9weeks so have have one more week of additional stress that I thought I'd done already! Because it's so early I'm being scanned again in 4 weeks which is great as I'll get a bit more reassurance and I just hope this little ones a keeper. I know it's silly but I found a penny on the floor in the waiting room and picked it up 'pick a penny up & all day long you'll have good luck!' - I've taped it to the scan pic book! ????I won't give a due date yet as they said it would be more accurate next scan but it Looks like it's probably going to be early august now instead.
I was seen by a consultant too who talked through both zachariah and angels pregnancy and I'd mentioned my link on being sick the week before she died. She actually said it is possible as even though the pm came back fine there is no way they could possibly scan for every virus known to mankind- I'm not sure if this makes me happier knowing there may be a reason or absolutely petrified that I might catch anything but am glad I saw her. At the moment I'm going to be consultant led and deliver on ward as although she offered a mid-wife led section at the hospital i think I want to know medical attention is immediately on hand. (zachariah was actually rescusitated but I only found out by looking at my notes!!!!!!!!!!!)????

Hope everyone else is doing well and have a fantastic new year x

    Katie,

That's great news about your scan, have been keeping my fingers very tightly crossed for you, I love the idea of the taped penny to the photo and it's great you get a scan in 4 weeks (although even that must seem an age away). Can understand what you mean by an extra week to do...are you sure about your dates? They measured both of mine as small but I knew my dates and at nearly 8lb and 9lb respectively at birth I think I was right!

hi - fantastic I have been thinking of you so really pleased to hear your first scan went well. It seems to have come round quite quick but it sounds like its not seeming so quick for you.
thats shocking about Zachariah being ressusitated - why would they not tell you something like that. do you know why?
Thank God he is safe and sound!
Best wishes - 2010 is going to be a wonderful year for you x

Thinking of you chick and so glad that the first scan was positive. Have they offered any progesterone to strengthen your pregnancy? Might pay you to ask if it would be worth it. I have a friend who is one of the top pre and neonatal specialists in the world and I swear it's due to him that Maddy is here... Lots of free advice, letters to my GP TELLING them how to treat me, everything. If you ever want me to ask him anything, let me know.
On the resuscitation of Zachariah... Why did they not tell you and, could there be a link to that and his sight problems? Might be worth having a chat to them about it. Big fat hugs to you, bean and the exceptionally munchy Zachariah XXX

Thank you all. I think my dates could be right as it did take a week after af due to get my bfp. Also it was the first af after angel so the consultant said it may be that I just ov'd late, they did say though that as it's so early they can't measure as accurately so will be more accurate at my 12 week scan (I'll actually be closer to 13 + then) so we'll see- as long as it's a keeper I'm not too fussed.
I have no idea why they didn't tell me about zachariah and it was sheer fluke I discovered but when I queried not being told with mw at the time she poo pooed it and said it was pretty common!!!! As for it being related to his sight I'd asked that before and the specialists say if the sight was anything to do with the birth it would have shown up on tests they've done like MRI etc.
Thank you for your offer diva, ATM I'm ok, I will ask about progesterone but I assume because I have had zachariah they're not thinking I have any issues about carrying to term..... Is that not relevant?

Hope everyone else is doing well x

Thanks diva, he sounds lovely. I don't really know I have any questions to be honest, I'm just scared sh!tless and petrified something will go wrong meaning they'll be a lot of unanswered qns about what was missed before! Why can't having a baby be as easy and stress free as munching on chocolate! Grr - I'll mention about progesterone at next appt but no doubt they'll say no

W4b, my friend had 3 mcs between her first and second child and she had the hormone after her third mc (all happened b4 12 weeks) so they don't just assume that because you've had a term baby that you don't need the drugs, if that makes sense?
