Henry is in his own room tonight.....

I just decided it was the right time so made oh take apart the cot just now and move all the furniture which put him in a bit of a mood as the cot has been moved so many times it's getting a bit tricky to put back together now!

I thought if we don't do it now while I'm in the right frame of mind I would change my mind again!!!

Feel nice already though to have my dressing table and wardrobe back - should think it'll make our sex life a bit better too!! Nothing more off putting than sleepy baby gurgles!!

He finally went to sleep in his cot in his own room but now I'm a bit sad cos I just went in there and he's all on his own - I don't even like sleeping all on my own - hope he'll be ok, I'm sure he will be but it's another sign they're getting bigger!!

Plus he crawled today for the first time!!! Really wasn't looking forward to mobile Henry as he does understand the word 'no' he just chooses to smile at me and ignore it!!

lol I agree Katielou it is the best exercise ever having a crawling baby you have to grab every 2 mins!!

Emily - fingers crossed Henry gets on ok in his own room and that you get a peaceful nights sleep. Bren has been in his own room since he was about 13 weeks old when he outgrew his moses basket as there was no way his cot would fit in our room. I remember I felt sad too and kept getting up in the night to check him for at least a week!

It is good now though as often in the morning when we go in he is happily playing with his teddy in his cot giggling away! x

He'll be fine and I'm sure you'll enjoy having your room back! It was great when we put Cole in his room cause I could put the light on to get undressed to go to bed and I could even read a book in bed!!

Well done Henry on the crawling

Thanks guys, Henry was fine last night and it was so nice to have the bedside lamp on!!!!

He wasn't even worried or upset in the morning when we weren't there! He was probably relieved he could get up to more mischeif!!!

We were going to get a gate blocking up our stairs and fireplace as we have spiral stairs and a normal gate wouldn't fit but really don't want to ruin our lounge esp as we're trying to sell at the mo!! He's got a travel cot so might just have to use that when I have to leave him!

Oh wish we could do own room!!! We only have 3 bed and so no where for Sam to go at the mo. Glad Henry had a good night and I am sure you will feel better about it in the long run.

Sam too is giving me loads of exercise with his crawling and the stairgate now has to go up as he discover the stairs yesterday!!!
I have found that although Sam doesn't understand no. When I change my voice and do a stern face and say NO SAM he stops what he is going for and each time he does it I say it again till he moves away and then I say well done and smile and love him. Not perfect but seems to work. Although he has now started crying when I do it and I just want to rush over and love him.
