I hope this isn't being cheeky and I hope I don't offend you but I have just remembered about a postal lending library when you can get sensory toys. The charity is for brain injury children but I don't think there is any reason Zachariah couldn't use it too. I had a quick look at some of there resources and there are some things that would be in a sensory room on it such as bubble lights etc.

I hope it helps and again sorry if this this has offended you I just thought it might be useful

don't apologise you really haven't offended me, these were the cards we were dealt and i think we're pretty much dealing with it (well me better than oh).
thank you so much i will definitely be looking into it, i know book start is meant to have an alternative touch start or something like that as well, i don't know why the health professionals couldn't tell me about things like this!
Anything i can find that will help develop the sight he does have or that will give him as normal/enjoyable life as i can i will always be interested in, so really appreciate it thank you.

Glad I didn't offend you. Does your local toy library have a section of sensory toys I know my council ones does so it might be worth asking.

ps heres the bit about the bookstart your HV should give it too you.
