    Right ladies!

Skye and I need to go to war over the fact that I can not really get her to drink water from anything other than a teat in her bottle!

    I have so far tried:-

Avent spout on a bottle - took first day and now flatly refuses, even won't take her milk form it if desperate!

Nuby soft spout trainer cup - seems to be favourite, will have a sip or two but prefers to chew it mostly and then has a tantrum when I take it away!!

Tommee Tippee Explora - not keen

TT freebie purple coloured cup with yellow spout - a no-go!

Has anybody got any suggestions? I seem to have a very fussy madam here!!

This sounds crazy but have you tried just a small baby cup without any spout at all. Or a doidy cup which is slightly slanted to help learn about tipping.

make sure the baby cup is not very wide and fill water up quite high...its easier to learn then as if you just put a small amount in which is what most do to avoid spills its harder as the have to tip cup for a while before they get any water.

maybe worth ago...especially whist you could do it outside so less mess in this nice weather.

You do just have to persevere. Personally we're on the TT free flow beakers which do get him to learn about tipping but not in the same way as the doidy. I can't face using a doidy or open cup as I know he'll try to play it with once he's finished.

i was going to suggest an open beaker. she is much better and dribbles hardly anything. i still hold it for her at the moment.

the hv gives you one of the cups that leigh suggested. it comes with a normal spout, a travel spout and one of the lids with the little hole (as in leighs post)

I have The tommie tippie First cup.
I hate it. The water comes out way to quickly leaving Nathan gasping for breath! :L
I also have a mothercare brand which is much better

About the only cup that we haven't tried is a free flow one like the TT first cup! She absolutely soaks herself already with the Nuby spout one which she has to suck gently to get water through, and she then spits it all out as it comes too fast I think?
She insists on shaking the cup about so not sure a free flow one is a good idea!! But I may try one as my MIL has bought her one...maybe I'll let her try it with her first so she can get all her carpets wet not mine LOL!
    Thanks ladies!
