    Hey guys!
I am so sorry about not keeping in touch have been so busy that life has just sort of escaped me. Luke is a great baby/toddler is walking now and has 3 teeth and busy cutting more. Dear son 1 is in year 1 at school and can't believe how quickly time is going. DH has a new job too one which he loves.
No more plans for any more of my own babies but will be delivering other peoples as have decided to become a midwife. Am due to start the course end of this month.
Had a really hard last year with lots of family stress and more bereavements and anniversaries of deaths etc so please forgive me for not staying in touch only now really coming to terms with my life at present.
Happy belated birthdays to all December mums and congratulations to all those who are pregnant again. Have had a quick read but hoping you'll update me on the latest with all of you.
Take care lovelies and speak soon.

    Hey Filo,

Of course we all remember you, I am also guilty of not posting much, 3 children under 2 is very very hard...

Great news about you becomming a midwife, have always fancied it myself but i'm not brainy enough!!!

Glad Luke is a good baby, with mine were as good!!! Gabriel and Gideon both wake still at night, anywhere between 3 and 10 times!!!!

Good to hear from you, try to keep us updated with your midwifery progress... Well done you...

Thanks for the reply hun thought i was being ignored for a minute!!
You really must have your hands full with them all so small. You dont have to be that brainy to be a midwife as i prove, hehe.
Lots of ladies are doing access to midwifery courses now adays which gives them a heads up before applying.
Good to speak but gotta go now have a meeting tonight for the school PTA.

hiya, i was literally wondering about you yesterday, spooky.

DD is fab, she is 15 months and walking and chattering away all the time. she has 6.5 teeth (one is almost through can see the white under the gum but the skin just wont break).

had an app with the consultant at the hospital a couple of weeks back and she was very very pleased with her, doing everything they would expect and more, so happy infact that they are talking about signing her off when she is 2 if she carries on the way she is (normally in our hospital, not sure about the others but if baby is born under 5lb then they see the consultant in childrens clinic until they are 5) so its great news that they want shot of her so soon.

    OMG, Filo is back!!!

Just also wondering about you the other day, racking my brains trying to remember your BE name! have missed you and your little kittien avatar!

So pleased that Luke is such a good little one, and great choice for your chosen new career too. Let's hope things are on the up for you.

Skye has been off and running for just over a month now, and is the proud owner of 8 teeth.

I'm back at work 2 days a week now and starting to study again for my NVQ level 3, urgh!!

Hope to see you on here again soon

Glad to see all our littlies are doing ok.
Feeling nervous about starting my course but excited at the same time too. guess thats what I felt like when pregnant as well.
Will try to be better at keeping in touch this tear as one of my new year resolutions. Oh as well as losing some weight which isn't working at the mo as have injured my knee and can't even walk properly today. Have ben referred to a musculoskeletal assessment team?? Who will help sort me out hopefully. Fingers crossed as need to be mobile for my new course. Filo x

hey filo! long time no see!
we are fine i too struggle to get on here with 2 under 3 is hard work! whilst working full time etc. im so jealous you are doing the midwifery course! i would love to! i have applied to train to become a health visitor as i cannot afford to return to uni full time with 2 in full time childcare and a mortgage! but it is def on the cards for when my babies are at school! jospeh is nearly 3 and starts school in september Roxie is 14 months and a monster with a fiery temper! are you doing the 18month conversion course? i cant with being a psych nurse its 3 full years for me bummer. so money will be tight. if its not too cheeky can you fill me in on the financial side ie if you have to pay for the degree and what you are entitled too? i cant seem to get a strait answer anywhere! lots love Hayley

    Hi Hayley
i am doing the 18mth course and am getting paid my usual wages whilst training. Back to full time for me though so a bit hard with childcare etc.
My understanding is that if you do the 3 years you dont pay the tuition fees as its an nhs course but basically dont get paid to do the course. And as its a degree course you dont get a bursary either.
Let me know if theres anything you'd like to know.
