as you know dd had reflux when she was little so had to be kept upright for about 20-30 mins after a feed. this meant that she fell to sleep on us.until now she has been really good at napping and sleeping at night but needed to be cuddled while she dropped off, then went into her cot. well if she woke up she was fine to drop back off on her own but need the cuddle for the initial dropping off. she wakes up at about 3.30 am everynight but is back to sleep on her own within 5 mins but doesnt cry just chats to herself. i must admit that i dont here her every night but dh has said she was awake. BAD MAMMY ops:well yesterday afternoon i was busy getting lunch ready when she shouted to me that she wanted to go to bed (not crying just shouting) so i just put her up in her cot and within 2 mins she was flat out sucking her thumb.last night she had supper and was tired but was getting really worked up when i tried to cuddle her. so i put her in her sleeping bag and put her into the cot within 10 mins ahe was flat out again. no crying just chatting to herself.she did the same this morning for her nap and exactly 2 mins after putting her in the cot she was fast asleep.i thought that we might have trouble getting to go to bed awake but hse has decided that she was ready yesterday and that was that my little girl is a big girl now. i think that if she could open the fridge/freezer and work the microwave she could cope on her own and wouldnt need me anymore  she is so independent now its scary

wow - she is a real goer isn't she! Can't even imagine Juliet being able to do hal the stuff yours is up to already...she seems so much older and wiser already!!Good news re her learning to self-soothe all of a sudden like that, I am constantly worrying about Juliet not successfully self-soothing but perhaps it will just happen one day, when I least expect it. I think I will stop worrying as they do tend to surprise you, in their own time. I have read far too many baby books that are obviously written for first-time mums with 100% of their time to devot to baby. I reckon second time mums wouldn't have half a show trying to follow "rules" like those in the baby books and the babies turn out fine so am going to stop listening now *fingers in ears* nanananananananaHey did you hear back from German Court?
