im so glad that i finally made the decision to start her on solids. she is a different baby, she doesnt scream for a feed now as she is much more satified after a feed especially the feeds where she has some food. she is napping better in the day and sleeps around 8 hours at night, she is much more contented between feeds and is even playing/kicking about much more tha n she was. we even get to eat our tea in peace now except she looks at us eating and make puppy dog eyes at us cos she wants some.physically she is doing well too, she gained 6oz last week where she was only gaining 3oz before. she is still only pooing once a day so no problems there.here is a warning to first time mums, when you start weaning their poo goes green!!! bit of a shock that one.

Well done you two! After trying Skye on baby rice for a few days I have gone back to just milk for the mo. I think it was her reflux causing most of the frustration so I will try her again in about a month I think...that said she will not take enough milk still and will only go barely 3 hrs between feeds, so I am half hoping that my hopsital officer will suggest weaning her and we might be able to eat our tea in peace too!!!

thanks ladies.halle - i have been avoiding the subject of weaning on the baby forum. wont be posting for advice on there anymore! will stick to my ladies here from now on.posy - i didnt give her baby rice as she isnt a big fan of the milk so gave her cow and gate creamy porridge. she has now had that, and heinz breakfast with fruit and yog. she had fruity cereal for breakfast but hated it, dont blame her it just tasted of banana. she had heinz dinners cauliflower and brocoli cheese which i couldnt shovel in fast enough.
