well went to clinic to get dd weighed and she has gained 8 1/2oz in 2 weeks. so is now 13lb 6 1/2oz yay, we finally broke the 13lb mark. next time we might even make a stone.im so chuffed she has gained so much considereing that she is now only taking about 7/8 oz of milk each day.i have moved her onto follow on milk and she seems to be taking not loads but a little more which is good news.this morning she had 9 dessertspoons of baby porridge plus water so it swells and makes a huge bowl followed by 3oz of milk and a petit filous. i have started giving her the food first now so that she will be thirsty so hopefully drink more. before she would only drink about 100ml before breakfast so only 10 ml less.

well she will be 7 months on the 30th she is now 29 weeks. so we didnt change milk exactly at 6 months so its fine. just use up what youve got then change if you want to. i dont think you have to change. dd was on SMA gold, i moved her to the white for hungier babies but it made her sick so defeated the purpose. i stated giving her the SMA follow milk yesterday and she has been fine of it so far.

Yay for her, again!I remember it taking Skye ages to break the 13lb mark too for some reason, it was very elusive! Now she's a right pudge and going above her centile line so I'll prob get told to feed her less by the HV, can't win!Like you say, you don't have to move over to Follow on milk at all. I think I'll stick to Stage 1 milk unless madam's intake drops below 600mls per day as teh food increases. It's mainly aimed at babies taking less milk so they can still get enough vits/iron is they're not having as much milk, and there are slightly more calories/protein per oz made up. It not as easily digestible apparently, so if your baby has any sensitivities/easily upset tummy etc then it's probably best to keep on Stage 1 formula for as long as possible. At least you can get Boots points on Stage 2 milk though and they do occasional special offers on it, never on Stage 1 though. Not sure if it's all a con though?!Iz & Skye x
