    Hey up ladies

Eddison is still the most jumpy baby ever created so I've been swaddling for naps and nighttime. However, I've had to wash my swaddle-wrap and it wasn't dry in time for tonight's bedtime. I've popped him in a sleeping bag and he seems to have settled ok but I'm not sure if he'll self-settle if he stirs (he does self-settle when he's swaddled).

Has anyone moved from swaddling to sleeping bags? Did you find it an easy transition?

    Thanks

Hugo has always fought the swaddle. Perversely however, he falls asleep really well in his padded pram suit which I put him in when we go out for a walk in the pram. I think it's because he can't move his arms and legs very well so has the same effect as a swaddle (it is very well padded and he looks like a cross between a starfish and a marshmallow!) and it calms him immediately. God help me when summer comes!

He's in a sleeping bag at night and obviously can still move his arms around and his jazz hands do wake him up occasionally. By far the thing that most often wakes him though is my husband laughing hysterically as when Hugo thrashes around in his moses basket, all you can see are his legs in his sleeping bag coming up over the sides - for some reason this really cracks my husband up and he can't stop laughing (then falls asleep while I feed and settle the baby, naturally).

Hope Eddison takes to the sleeping bags well. Hugo loves his though his favourite is his Cath Kidston one with cowboys on it
