Yep, ryans now completely bottlefed, mostly ebm but has a couple of ff as I just can't keep up with him.
Are you bfing aswell hun? Or just expressing? Are you finding it hard to find enough hours in the day? I'm really starting to struggle living by a pumping schedule!

Please let me know how the double pump is, I got the medela swing when my manual pump was showing signs of being overworked, but now I'm a full time pumper regretting not getting a double for time reasons...how long do you/ did you spend pumping with you electric pump?

Sorry to bombard you with questions but I've dropped down to 4 sessions a day as 45mins to an hour every 3 hours was killing me. He didn't wake til 7 today and so didn't get to pump til 9 so only 3sessions today I feel so bad incase it affects my supply but there's just not enough time is there? xx

    Hi Hun
I am same as you she is mostly on expressed breast milk and has maybe1/2 formula in 24hrs (couldnt breast feed as she had a bad tongue tie)
I pump prob 3 times in the day and I also pump during the nigt once with a manual pump just to get some milk off as my boobs are ready to explode by the am if I dont!!!
I generally pump for about 20 minutes and from both boobs combined I get anywhere between 4 and 6 oz which will do a feed!!!
I am gonna continue expressing for aslong as I can and it is def an insentive when Annie is weighed and she is gaining mainly being fed on my milk!! I feel very proud and my hv praises me for continueing expressing!!!
Def looking forward to the new pump hoping it cuts my time expressing!!!
How do you cope if you go out??
If I go to a friends say for lunch I take the hand pump anywhere else I just pump b4 I go and then I pump when I get home!!!!
Dont worry too much about only being able to pump 3 times 2day I am sure it will be fine I have missed a session b4 with no affect!!!

We had to call it a day with the bfing as after 5or6 weeks of him not latching on properly he was getting hysterical at every feed and hardly taking anything so still needing formula top ups and I was in agony.
In 24hours he's having half to two thirds ebm and the rest ff so pretty similar.
I'm lucky he's pretty much going through most nights now so express as soon as I can after his first feed. I usually get 6or7ozs in the morning then 4-6 the same as you every other time. He's taking anything from 4-6ozs per feed so hard to judge what to offer him as don't want to waste any.
Seeing his weight gain was definitely an insentive to keep going, although the hv just wound me up and was less than useless!
Can't justify another pump after spending out on the medela but anything that cuts time and keeps us going longer. The more ebm I can give him the better but fully expected some signs of my supply drying up by now. Will keep going until that happens though.
Haven't been in a pump out situation yet, have been planning trips and visits around pumping sessions but when I do just plan to take my manual pump out with me.
Seem to have made up for it in volume today so not too worried and as much as I'm hoping for him to go through the night again tonight not looking forwards to the mornings bowling balls!
Hope youre not finding it too difficult back with the manual pump xxx

gc to sy my tommee tippee electric pump broke oncce. milk went through the pipe it made strange noises and wouldnt work. i phoned up cistomer services who told me what i was doing wrong, i had something small and plastic facing the wrong way. and it worked. they said they would replace it if it didnt work, but its been good since. worth a shot.

i'm bf and pumping to improve my supply as i my little one hasnt been gaining weight. I have a mdela swing but ended up hiring a medela symphony to try and cut the time down and increase volume. Some of the stuff i read eg on kellymom.com suggested pumping for a shorter timre but doing it more often. I'm still a novice though and not sure what helps
