I was looking through a post and realised Theo is having alot less milk then the rest of the LO on here!
i really do struggle to get him to take it, i make up 8oz at a time and can only get him to take a bottle after breakfast and before bed... i am lucky if he takes 5oz per feed... he used to have a 3pm bottle but wont take that at all now... should i be worried?!

He eats 3 meals a day and is a very good eater but does that compensate for the milk?!

I offer my LO four bottles a day the first at 5.00am (so he wakes up and asks for it!) he usualy drinks all 7 oz, at 10.30 he might only take 3ox and the same at 4.00pm and then at 7.30pm he will drink another 7oz.

Some days it works like a charm other days he looks at me with I would prefer food eyes!

They advise 500 -600 ml of milk a day until 12months. My health visitor has said that if he doesn't want the milk you can give vitiams instead.

I wouldn't worry to be honest....in an ideal world at 7 ish months they should have 15oz per day but some babies just go off it earlier than others when they go onto solids. If they don't drink much milk then make sure they have Yoghurts / fromage frais / cheese / cows milk in cereal. My Lo varies day by day - I offer 3x6oz bottles - some days she will drain all 3, some days may only have 10oz at a push and tell me in no uncertain terms that she doesn't want it !! Will probably be dropping the 3pm bottle in a month judging by how things are going. S XX

I also worry that Poppy isn't getting enough milk. I make up 7oz in the morning for breakfast and which she sometimes drinks all of it sometimes not. If she doesn't then use the rest in her cereal. Try and give her some at lunch but only really drinks 1oz, she sometimes drinks 3oz at about 3:30pm but sometimes wont have any and then she has 7oz at bedtime. I try and give her fromage frais and cheese but always worry that she isn't getting enough.
