    Hello,
Baby no2 is due end of october, I was just wondering if any of you could let me know what baby clothes your los were wearing in the first month or so. Our first lo was born in the summer so she spent quite a bit of time in just a nappy and a vest. I dont plan on buying much as we were kindly given quite a few pieces of clothing for the first 6months. I would just like to have a few bits ready for when lo arrives.

If you could let me know the main things you had or used the most that would be great.

    Many Thanks, x

I might not be much help but I kept the boys in sleepsuits most of the time. We bought a couple of fleecy ones that were a bit nicer to go out in, but most were from Next as I found them thicker and nicer for them to be in during the day.

We also had a few trousers with the feet still in and long sleeved tshirts.

As with Gemmiebaby, I think for the first month definitely, my little fella just lived in a vest and sleepsuit! My mum is an avid knitter and knitted some really sweet cardi's and tanktops which I often popped over the top if we were going out or was quite chilly.

Also I LOVED the trousers with feet!!! I had one pair which came in a set from M&S but got a few from mothercare too. It felt a bit more like he was 'dressed' for the day if that made sense, but without having an uncomfortable outfit on. Plus, my LO was quite diddy when small, so nothing clothes wise fitted him till he was about a month old anyway!!

Hope you have a good last couple of months! xxx

My DD was in sleepsuits (with vests under) pretty much most of the time, until she was about 5 months really!!! I just think they're SUPER cute and sooo comfy for them. We, like Gemmiebaby, had the Next ones and the quality is just superb.
We had the odd outfit/dress for going out somewhere special.

We also put her in a pramsuit if going out on colder days. She was born the 17th and it wasn't really that cold weather wise for another good few weeks.
    Good luck!!! x

Agree with Gemma and Kelly about the sleepsuits. I've got lots of different types and Next are by far the best and the turn over cuffs are soooo handy. They wash really well and are much warmer than other makes. They are also, in my opinion, a bit more generous in their sizes, especially the length.

We had a couple of lovely snuggly pram suits for when it was really cold, although I'd wait until baby arrived if I had my time again as he didn't really need them until almost Christmas and by then he was in a much bigger size than the ones I had bought.

Wish I'd kept him in sleepsuits for longer as he is growing up soooo quickly and now I can't even get a sleepsuit on him for the wiggling and whinging!

All the best for the rest of your pregnancy.
