    Hi Ladies.

Was wondering if anyone had any words of wisdom for me regarding fussyness with food. So... Evan is just passed 9 months, and has struggled with anything lumpy or textured since about 7 months. He took to weaning really well, and is eating finger food well... nursery tell me he eats loads during the days he's there. But he always refuses my homemade food that is pureed or mashed. He won'n take the next stage (7 month) jars if i buy them. He will eat weetabix in the morning with mashed banana or plum porridge and the like... but with lunch and teatime i really struggle. He'll happily eat yogurts or desert stuff, and i'm just greatful he does, otherwise he'd be eating almot nothing at all.

He was huge when born- 11lb 4.5 0z, but he's now around 18lb 5, so way off a lot of other babies born in October, but at lower birthweights. He's healthy, burning off loads of energy as he's constantly on the move. I just worry so much he isn't getting proper nutrition. I should also add he's on 3x 6oz of follow on aptimil a day, which he usually manages to finish!!

Any advice for me? I just feel awful when he refuses to eat meals with any protein in, he can't live off fruit forever!!

Hey hun, I'm having the same problem with ds at the moment. He has always been a vomity baby and tends to vomit as soon as he gags so have had to introduce lumpy foods quite late on and still struggling. So sorry I can't really offer any advice but just wanted to say I know how you're feeling. x

    Hi hun,
Could you ask nursery for the recipes they use (if they make it themselves) to see if he will take it then? Also, where does he sit to eat at nursery and at home? Dylan was an absolute pain to feed until I bought an IKEA highchair, he hated his old one (was a mamas and papas one) and I use to resort to feeding him in his bouncy chair despite him being far too big for it and his bum being on the floor. The IKEA chair made such a difference.

Maybe try some combinations of savoury and sweet if he likes his puddings, he might take things more easily if you mix pureed fruit into it.
