    PM

I miss posting on the tri threads so thought it would be good to catch up and see how everyone is getting on with their babies.

Naomi was 2 weeks old yesterday and it feels like she has been here forever now. She was above her birth weight when she was weighed at 10 days and feeding is going well, she will happily go 2-3 hours between feeds in the day and at night which is amazing after her brother who fed round the clock for months. So we are all getting a decent amount of sleep at night, she settles in her crib mostly between feeds as well - I live in hope that this one might sleep through before the age of 3!

H has gone back to work today which I think we all needed - I'm looking forward to getting back into a proper routine before school starts next week and I think H is looking forward to getting back to normal too.

My C-section recovery has been fab, best of my 3 sections by far - other than the odd twinge, I don't even feel any side effects at this point. Waiting for a call from the HV to visit, it's a new one from when I had the boys so hoping she is nice.

    How is everyone else doing?

Well I'm only just in 4th tri still!

Margot.. Sounds like your getting on fabulously..long may it continue for you. Glad your scar is healing too.

Little h is 12 weeks old today! Cannot quite believe it really.. Although those early days do seen like a long time ago. He is a little dream.. Feeding every 2 and a half hours dying the day but sleeping through from 7.30 to 6am.. He is a happy little soul and has really found his voice the last couple of weeks chatting away all day...

Morning Margot. Glad to hear you're doing well, you enjoying all the pink? I miss the tri threads too :-(

S is 6 weeks on Thursday. We both have our 6 week check today, can't believe how quick the time is going. Not been weighed for a couple of weeks but I reckon he must be almost 12lb by now. Still mainly living in up to 1 month sleepsuits though as most his 0-3 is still too big. Feeding is ok, think he still has thrush and his latch on one side isn't great. He sleeps well at night, up once or twice for a feed then goes back down in his cot - I was co sleeping with the others by this stage

It's quite hard getting out the house with the 3 of them so I tend not to bother lol

    Any pics of Naomi??

    PM

Quick hello from me on Day 8 of baby William. So far csectilon recovery has been a million times better than last time, aside from slightly horrid scar and bit of (tmi) weeping, but all looking like it will be ok.

Melon boobs going strong. Maybe too strong as I've had to have a hot flannel on them a few times. Feeds are settling a bit so hopefully boobs will too. ESP left nipple as baby seems to chew that one a bit and it HURTS.

That aside. A bit chaotic here with MIL staying and hubby out of action with a slipped disc. I have no idea what meals wee are having, the contents of my fridge and also I have never seen so many toys stream around the place. Still, it means I am getting *some* rest so I should be great full. I even have clean and ironed bedsheets and babygrows thanks to MIL. Amazing. I wouldn't bother!

I think we just about scrape into the 4th tri. Heidi was 12 weeks on Monday.

Life with two is chaos, fab but chaos. Add being self employed in the mix and you'll see why I'm going grey!

Heidi has settled well into our little family though and it's hard to imagine life before her now. Like her big sister, she pretty much refuses to sleep during the day but she's doing 8.30 to 7.30 at night now so I can't complain.

Matilda is loving being a big sister.

My section recovery was amazing this time round too. Now to shift the lard. 9lbs down in 2 weeks though! I have no idea how much Heidi weighs. Poor second child!

IDC, sounds like you are getting some rest even if things are a bit chaotic! My boobs took about a week to settle this time but it will get there.

Rusty, your girls are just gorgeous! 9lb in 2 weeks is seriously impressive, well done.

It's lovely to see everyone's updates. i miss the tri threads too.

Seb will be 3 weeks tomorrow, can't believe how fast it's going!! First baby so Im still learning but it seems to be going well. feeding every 2-4 hours and sleeping quite well at night. got some wind issues but he hardly cries and sleeps well in his moses. was back up to birthweight by day 13 and feeding is going well now after a rocky start. feel like Im gaining a bit more confidence now and starting to enjoy him rather than just worrying! Will try and add a photo later but can only do it from my laptop x

    Morning. Room for another?

I love seeing how everyone is getting on. We definitely make beautiful babies.

We got home yesterday lunch time. I couldn't wait to get home. D is besotted be her. Keeps stroking her and touching "her baby sister".

Jennifer is just so small compared to our monster toddler. Feeding is going well. She first fed when we were in recovery and just seems to know what to do. I know I'm very lucky. Very sore from the emcs. But painkillers working. Just waitin on the mw to do her check up. My bp is still raised so got to go to gp to have it checked.

I can't post pics from my phone sorry. Will try and get on laptop later x

Good to see you here Daisy! Re: toddler. Mine seems up have quadrupled in weight and doubled in size. To me, he is now less a toddler and more an actual child!

Rest up as best you can and stay on top of your painkillers! X

Hello everyone.  Orla is 6 weeks old tomorrow, was weighed by the HV last week and is 9lb 2oz so has put on 2lb since birth.  She was still wearing up to 7.5lb babygrows so I was a bit shocked at her weight.   Orla seems much easier than Zoe was or it could be just that we are more relaxed.  She has mild reflux but gaviscon and only using ready made formula seems to be working - although the formula may well bankrupt us.

She does seem to prefer sleeping on me but that is fine for most of the time.  Her sleep is hit and miss, some times she will go from 10pm - 5.30am; other days she is awake every hour.
