Not sure why I'm awake this early, not out of bed yet though so may drift back off, probably just before A wakes!
Had a very positive vbac clinic yesterday. She went through A's birth in a lot of detail, and used a little model to explain why he didn't come out. He was direct OP, or back to back, with his chin pointing up rather than down and even if he was only 6lb he wouldn't have come out like that. It seems a bit of a miracle I got to 10cm given the wrong part of his head was pushing against the cervix, because of that she'd expect me to dilate pretty quickly with a correctly positioned baby. She alzo explained that the problem with the pool is that there aren't many mw's who have experience of water vbacs, it depends on who is available at the time. If this baby is in a similar position we'll go to section earlier than last time, which I'm more than happy with.Apparently out of all the women she'd seen that day I had the best chance if a successful vbac, she'd also seen one of my NCT friend's yesterday, but I won't tell my friend that.
Plans for this weekend; today H is off to our local beer festival, A and I are going shopping (including at kiddicare!) for the last of our holiday bits and then off to meet my mum at the stables for A to see the horse and tractor and for me to see some old pals. Then to my mums for dinner. Tomorrow is busy, A has 2 parties back to back and we're fitting in a house viewing in between them too. We're not really looking to move but keep changing our mind so hopefully seeing some will help us decide.
Monday is a rest day!
Hope you all have lovely plans for the day!

That's great news about the clinic, glad it was explained nicely and you got the answers you wanted. You have got a busy weekend ahead! Enjoy the shopping and kiddiecare, it's my new favourite place :)
Baby was wriggly last night we were watching my tummy move again, it's great fun! Only up early as we are doing a bootfair, so hoping we get rid of our rubbish and get some money for it instead!
04/05/2013 at 06:55
Hope you manage to get rid of it all bunny, and the buyers aren't too cheeky!

I'm up early too. Which is a pain as our boy is at my Mums. I guess he has screwed my body clock!
Good luck for the boot fair. I have a feeling we are at the very tail end of the good weather now, which is typical for BHW.
Today we are off with my parents to go see/ride steam trains as an early birthday thing for our son. He's going to love it, no need for pushchair faff either as he will probably be carried by Dad/Grandad all day. Why do men always insist on carrying children? I make him walk as much as possible as I can't carry him and baby!
No real pregnancy update, other than I am now 24w exactly. I think of viability as 25+ so looking forward to hitting that milestone soon! All rather boring in the I between stages where there are no appointments or scans. I did buy a lovely knitted romper type outfit this week. Technically my first purchase for baby (pushchair doesn't count). So that was exciting. Second time around is so different to first.

Hi! Sorry, I've not got on here much again this week!
BG - Glad it all went well at the clinic - you sound like you've got a busy weekend ahead!
Bunny - hope the bootfair goes well
IDC - have fun at the steam trains, sure your son will love it. Know what you mean though about carrying a toddler and bump! Can't manage half the distance I used to!
AFM - all good here! Babies are getting far more wriggly. Not got anything much planned for today, just get the things done that haven't got sorted in the week!
Have a good Saturday

BG - glad the clinic went well. Hope you manage to get your feet up at some point.
Bunny - hope the bootfair goes well.
IDC - have a lovely day out.
Afm - I seem to have insomnia. Just can't stay asleep. Not alot planned for this weekend. Just tidying up house and garden. I'm desperate to move house but it's unlikely to happen in the next 2 years. Not alot happening with bump. Lots of movement. It's going way too fast.

BG- glad the VBAC clinic went well. Definitely sounds very positive. I've never been to kiddicare but there's one just opened near Liverpool so I'm hoping to pay it a visit soon
Bunny- good luck with the boot fair
IDC- sounds like a lovely day. I too wonder why men insist on carrying lo's. my H does then always regrets it!
Rhian- lovely to have a wriggly baby
Daisy- hope you get all your tidying done. I hate waking up early at weekends
AFM- no plans for the weekend, hoping for the sun to make an appearance to maybe go to the park

BG, glad the vbac clinic went well and it's looking good for you. Enjoy your shopping!
Bunny, hope the boot fair goes well.
IDC, have a lovely day, hope your son enjoys it.
Rhian, have a good day, must be strange with two wriggling around in there!
Daisy, hope you get lots done and get some rest too.
Jellytot, fingers crossed for the sunshine, it's disappeared here too.
AFM, just me and the boys today as H has gone out for the day on a trip with his cub pack. Need to finish Joshua's Tree Fu Tom costume for tomorrow's party and go the garden centre for some stuff for school too, might manage tea and cake there too if the boys behave. Ordered some more nappies yesterday, the Little Lambs bargain pack that was mentioned on a thread here so looking forward to that arriving and finding wraps to go with them too. Baby seems very wriggly this morning!

IDC - I always wake up early when I don't have to, and then when I have to I just can't get up. Typical. Have fun with the steam trains.
Rhian - can you clearly tell it's 2 babies yet, or does it just feel like one extra wriggly one?
Daisy - your body is probably used to surviving on less sleep now. Have a lovely relaxed weekend. The thing is as nice as it would be to move, I'm not desperate to, so it's a case of seeing if a move now is what we want to do, or are we best to carry on saving for 5 years and do it with less mortgage. We only really want to move one more time so it's a massive decision. Enjoy a relaxing weekend.
JT - hope the sun shines for you. The Lakeside Kiddicare is simply amazing, they seem to be springing up everywhere now.

04/05/2013 at 18:14
BG - It's more that the wriggles come from extremes, they haven't started having a party in there yet! Think that will just be wierd!!

Morning, what is everyone up to today?
Bootfair went well, we came away with £55 after buying lunch and hot drinks. It was freezing and raining on and off.Not loads but hood for stuff we no longer wanted. The rest we took to charity, apart from a couple of boxes of more 'expensive' stuff that I'm going to try and sell on a local Facebook site. The plan is to then put this towards so baby bits. Up early again today, baby has decided to make 6am the time to wiggle, kick and do somersaults! I don't mind at the moment, but might do later on when I need more sleep. I got a little kick in the ribs this morning for the first time, which felt odd! Parents are down for decorating today, hoping to finish painting the living room and might do some gardening with my mum.
Idc- hope you enjoyed the trains and the weather was ok for you.
Rhian- hope you got all your jobs done. Enjoy the wriggles!
Daisy- hope you managed to sleep last night. My h suffers from insomnia now and again, so know it's not pleasant.
Jellytot- enjoy your relaxed weekend, hope the sun appeared for you yesterday.
Margot- hope you got the costume finished. Did you get to have tea and cake out?
Duckford- hope fils party went well.
Luna- I know what you mean about needing an app. I can only get on, on my phone as our computer is hooked up to our tv so you can only get on it if no one is watching tv and then everyone can see what you're doing!
05/05/2013 at 08:45
Bunny, that sounds like pretty good day at the boot sale - any plans for what to spend it on for baby? Yay for wriggles too!
We had a nice day yesterday, made papier mache shapes for the costume, had a trip to the garden centre and had tea and cake which was yummy, then a chilled out afternoon in the garden with me explaining ecosystems to the 5 year old! Today is pretty chilled too, H has gone for a run so we are having breakfast then painting the papier mache to finish the costume, going to help tidy out the garage at H's scout building, then not a lot other than taking Joshua to the party and maybe mowing the lawns. Might even venture a names conversation later!
05/05/2013 at 10:05
Morning all, sorry no time for personals as it's all go here and I'm on my phone too which makes it really hard!
We went to the Fenwicks warehouse sale yesterday "for a quick look" and came out with a couple do baby bits, including a Mamas and Papas bouncer which I wish came in adult size! Today I'm on a desperate hunt for maternity jeans as I miss jeans so much. Then out tonight. Trying to make the most of the sunshine too while it lasts!
05/05/2013 at 11:25
D - not bad work! Hope the decorating goes ok today
M - I'm too scared to broach names with H incase he's gone off the one I like even more. Are you still liking Naomi? Hope your H has some sensible suggestions today
TT - try new look, H&M and Primark, I suggest going for the smaller size if you're between sizes at Primark though. Exciting buying those first baby things, makes it so real!
AFM - had a fab day with A and my parents yesterday. Was so tempted to buy some girly clothes there but I was good ad just bought for H's cousins new baby girl. A loved the stables and I enjoyed catching up with some old pals there too. Today we're at our first of two kids parties, poor H is currently being dragged up as down the soft play by A after spending 10 hours on the beer yesterday, mwahahaha!
Got a load more baby clothes from my neice's mum yesterday, which unfortunately means I'm pretty much sorted for 0-6m, and don't need to buy anything. I probably won't tell H that though.

Morning all, hope everyone had a nice day yesterday and if the sun is shining where you are, enjoy it!
We're planning a day in the garden today with a trip to a car boot sale in the early afternoon too. I'm expecting the ILs to pop in this afternoon which will be nice as we haven't seen them for a few weeks, just hoping Jacob stops whinging at some point as he's done little else since waking up!
06/05/2013 at 09:19
Have a lovely day Margot - hope the whinging stops! It is very annoying when they wake up like that isn't it!
We're having a bbq lunch with friends today then might go for a walk this afternoon as it is so lovely.
Hope everyone else has a lovely day
06/05/2013 at 09:52
Morning, Sun is definitely shining here, perfect for some washing!
Margot- enjoy your garden today, looks like it will be the perfect day for that.
Rhian- enjoy the BBQ I love them in the summer.
We are off to a may day fete then to the in-laws for a BBQ after, although first we are going to wash the cars!
