Morning Ladies, I hope you are all well (or at least feeling better than you were on Saturday!!)
I have a nice relaxing weekend. I had a lovely lunch and afternoon with the girls and their kids. The Easter Egg Hunt was a great success. The girls also bought me and my friend (who is due in 3 weeks) a basket of goodies for the baby (and some treats for mummy), which was so thoughtful it made me cry!
I am not feeling too bad today, although my SPD is playing up a bit. We are planning on having a trial run of the birth pool today, so that we know how it works and how long it takes to fill up!!
I will pop back later to catch up

Morning all. Hope everyone is a bit more comfortable today and having a restful weekend.
Al- sounds like you had a nice day with your friendship. Hope the pool doesn't take too long to fill! You're brave having it at home. The mess alone puts me off!
Afm- Took S out with my parents for the morning yesterday to a local country park. It was freezing but sunny so that was nice. Fil came over on the afternoon so I left it to H to entertain them! I've already sorted out the toy cupboard to accommodate his new toys. Don't have any room for the babies toys now though! Might have to be a bit more ruthless and put a load more in the loft. Today we're off to Windsor for another Easter egg hunt then lunch with friends.
My heels are giving me grief. Think Saturday being barefoot on wooden floors all day aggravated them on top of my excessive weight. 5 separate people told H how big I am yesterday. He couldn't stop laughing at my bump yesterday! Thanks darling! It is huge.
Scan and consultant appt tomorrow. Gtt weds
Have a good day everyone!

Al - sounds like you had a great few days. How lovely of your friends to get you a basket if gifts for mummy and baby! Good luck with the pool today.
WH - sounds like you also had a good weekend. Hope that you have a great day at Windsor. Some people are so rude commenting on sizes of bumps etc I have seen your bump shot and you look perfectly lovely to me
AFM - made loads if great headway this weekend with DIY ad sorting out stuff. Baby's room is painted with base colour and now need to decorate with wall stickers etc. House is also more de-cluttered. Friends gave us loads of their old baby stuff yesterday and i must admit that we had some difficulty in working out what a lot of it was and how to fix it together! Whilst we were putting the older stuff in the loft everything kept singing at us as we were struggling to turn it off! Not very confidence building for new parents! Very thankful to our friends though.
Today we are off to the ideal home show for a potter. Got some complimentary tickets so thought why not!
Have a great day all x

Al - have fun playing with the birthing pool!
WH - I dont think your bump is huge either. Hope your GTT goes ok.
Ferbs - Enjoy the ideal home show! I love getting hand me downs to rummage through.
AFM - I am still in bed lustening to H banging and crashing around doing the washing up. G has been up to show me various things from the egg we painted yesterday, to her dolly and cut finger so no chance of actually sleeping! H got more DIY done yesterday and he is getting the buggy etc out of the loft later so i can start cleaning things up. Only have tomorrow left at work then on mat leave - yay!!!
Hope you all had a good Easter xx

Al, sounds like you had a lovely time with your friends!
WH, I'd like to see our husbands try having a bump and see how funny they find it. My H wouldn't help me get my drink off the coffee table yesterday. He thoughtbimwas just being lazy until I told him I physically couldn't bend forward enough to get to it!
Ferbs, enjoy the ideal home show. I went once years ago
MM, sounds like my house when trying to have a lie in? Yea to finishing work but boo to having to go in for just one day.
Afm, not much to report really. Been really sick this morning but it was to be expected as I have a few easier days then a really pukey day. Saturday we took the kids to legoland for the afternoon once O had finished dancing. It was cold but not too bad, it was just right at the end that they started complaining but we managed 3 or so hours there. Yesterday was pottering at home really. A bit of gardening, a bit of painting, sorting the baby stuff etc.
The kids got a bit of money for Easter so we are going to pop out and let them spend a bit then come back and put the en suite back together now the painting is finished. Just the bedroom to get done then!
Consultant appointment for me tomorrow am when hopefully I will get my CS booked in. I am really hoping for 38 weeks.
I told O (she is 6.5) this morning that we can start saying we're having a baby next month - she is soo excited!
Have a lovely days xxx

Al - So glad the egg hunt went well! Let us know how you get on with the pool
WH - Sounds like a good Easter Sunday. Ignore the giant bump comments though, and dish out a few smacks! Has S bought anything for baby?
Ferbs - Great progress in the nursery!!
MM - Lovely relaxing morning by the sound of it!
Morph - We've still not been to Legoland even though we live 30 mins away! Fingers crossed for a 38 week csection!
AFM - H left me in bed until 11am today then bought me breakfast in bed so I've pretty much forgiven him for Saturday now! My pelvis is still agony but I'm managing sleep and the crutches help during the day. I'm trying to avoid taking paracetamol as want it to be effective in the early stages of labour. Plan for today is to head to Hobbycraft for some wool as I'm on a new project now and making crochet name bunting for both N and baby, I need more colours! The blanket for baby is finished!

Blanket looks great hep, well done!
Well not my finest moment but I have just brought my guts up in Starbucks :-(. Feel loads better now though!

Ah Morph you poor thing. Did you make it to the loo?? How rubbish. I wouldnt get too hopeful on a 38 week cs as my consultant said they wont do a cs before 39 weeks unless there is a very good reason as it increases the risk of breathing problems with bubba.
Hep that blanket is gorgeous!!

Oh dear Morph! Hope it's made you feel a bit better though.
MM - Yes I've heard thy don't do routine c sections before 39 ish weeks. That's still not too long though!
Happy Monday ladies! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!
Al - Sounds like you had a lovely weekend! That was really sweet of your friends! Good luck with your test run!
WH - What a lovely H you have! Mine would have a cheek if he even dared to mention how big i am. Right up until a few weeks ago he weighed twice my weight, and it's only through being pregnant that this isn't the case anymore. Enjoy your day today, sounds like lots of fun!
Ferbs - Sounds like you had a very productive weekend! Enjoy the Ideal home show!
MM - My H is working today but decided at 6.30am that he was going to do the washing up from last night that he couldn't be bothered doing before bed. so that woke me! Exciting stuff finishing for Mat Leave! enjoy your last day!
Morph - Sorry to hear you've not been well. Hope you get a good result from your appointment. Will you let us know when your CS is booked for? You have well and truely freaked me out with the 'baby next month' statement! Hope you're feeling better after the starbucks incident!
Hep - Glad your being spoiled today after your post the other day! I need to find something to do when i go on mat leave, i'm thinking of making something for baby....would help if i knew what though....
Afm - Had a nice quiet weekend. I did post last week about my meeting with my line manager, but don't think anyone was around. Basically I had a meeting with my line manager to agree roughly what my phased return will be like. The plan is that i will go back on the books at work from Mid January 14, start a 3 day a week phased return from the beginning of February where i will be back Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays to begin with, which still allows me 4 day weekends with baby until April when i will return full time. She also told me that they think they have my mat cover sorted, and the girl who is going to be doing it is a friend from a previous job, so i'm excited that she will be covering for me as i know she is more than competent!
I also have a strange question, but does anyone else find that the top of your bump sometimes can get a bit hot and almost numb feeling from time to time? i'm finding the area on my left just below my left boob sometimes gets like this and i don't know if it's anything i should be worried about, or if it's just a stretching thing from baby growing and being incredibly insistent that it wants to stick it's bum up there.
Baby was freaking H out yesterday rolling around my tummy there were limbs sticking out all over the place. I'm kind of used to it, but H only gets to see it every now and again. LO has discovered it can get right up around my rib cage and it is SO uncomfortable it's unreal.

Hi RKB. Sounds like work is all sorted so you can relax a bit!
I had a numb patch at the top of my bump with G but not this time round. It was still numb months after the birth too. They put it down to baby laying on a nerve.
01/04/2013 at 15:25
RKB how come you're already arranging the return to work? I always thought you didn't have to agree anything up front? Just don't sign anything to make it concrete as you may well want to change your mind!
At my work they've said 'I know we can't ask if you plan to come back but you'll be missed if you don't' and that's all they said about it!

Nothing is set in stone, it was just a discussion and i've been told that it's all provisional, but because I kind of wanted to have a plan in my own head more than anything else, I spoke with my line manager about it so she knew what I was thinking and to check that my plans would work for her too. As far as HR are concerned, i'm taking the full year until they are told otherwise.
