Sorry for being awol, LO's has been rubbish this week (waking several times a night for no apparent reason, leaving me totally knackered) however she only woke once last night at 12:45am and very quickly went back to sleep and is still sleep now - i feel like i have slept properly. Hurrah!!
Had a v.stressful trip round ikea on Wednesday, did find everything i wanted for hallway (shoe racks etc), but LO was in such a grump by then, i ended up leaving without buying it. So need to go again. Or maybe just send H with a shopping list!
H and I are going to crack on with decorating in hall this weekend as my parents are coming to visit and take LO out on both days. H also has next Thurs+Fri off work, so fingers crossed that should be enough time to get it all done???? It is a mammoth task and I'm determined to get it done before bubs arrives!
Talking of which, bubs fine, very wriggly & squirmy

Morning HF - sounds like a hectic week, glad LO seems to have settled for you. Good luck with the decorating, we are currently doing the same although running out of time!!
Afm - 37+3 and off for lunch with a friend today. Baby very wriggly, although movement and stretching is a lot lower and getting more uncomfortable! Will try and spend a bit of time on my ball today and get this baby engaged!!

HF - Sounds busy! Glad bump is doing well.
Banzy - Have a lovely lunch and good luck with the bouncing!
AFM - My arm is killing from my whooping cough jab, the nurse said it would as the tetanus does that :-( so that made my sleeping a little more difficult. Just about to drop my wee sample into the Drs so hoping that all comes back ok, won't know until Monday. Not a lot planned today, H usually finishes early on Fridays so that will be nice. Bump was causing me a bit of discomfort last night whilst moving, could feel pressure on my cervix which I guess will happen now that he/she is dropping?
Hello to all xx

Good luck with the decorating Horsefan
Banzy, have a good day and sending you lots of baby engaging vibes !
BE, hope all ok with wee sample today , enjoy your quiet dsy.
Afm, work today and then crack on with finishing jobs around the house this weekend, it feels never ending ! Please send lots of workmen finishing vibes as the drive still isn't finished and neither has the joiner!

Mean to say thankyou for that recipe Tina, looks and sounds amazing!

Morning everyone!! Happy Friday!
HF- I would send H to ikea!! Good luck with the decorating, hope you manage to get it done!
Banzy- good luck with with project "Baby get engaged"!!
BE- Sounds like you are full of discomfort. The whooping cough pain only lasts a couple of days! mine woke me up when I turned over in the night, was a pain!
Mrs P- Sending lots of ibes for the workmen to get their butts in gear and finish off!!
Quiet day planed today, need to sort a couple of party things out so will crack on with that this afternoon. H has a gig tonight and tomorrow so wont see much of him. Sunday morning we have an NCT breastfeeding session and we are all going for sunday lunch after so im looking forward to getting to know everyone out of class!

HF, glad you caught up on some sleep, it sounds like you've had a challenging week! Sending H with the shopping list sounds like a good plan.
Banzy, enjoy your lunch out! I'm getting bored of ball bouncing now - think I need to invent a game to pass the time quicker!
BE, hope the sore bit from the jab wears of quickly. Exciting that baby is bouncing on your cervix though - although maybe not that comfy!
MrsP, sending a virtual whip crack to the workmen to get them going quicker! I hope you get back from work today to find it all miraculously finished.
Mrs Bass, weekend plans sounds lovely - I definitely think seeing NCT people out of the classes is the only way to get to know them - we had 6 x 2hr classes and still didn't really 'know' anyone, but as soon as the last one finished we met up for coffee / cake and we all keep in touch now. In fact, I'm going for another cake date with them all in an hour
AFM, still suffering slightly with the weird nerve thing so back to using the crutch, but otherwise al is good! H gave my bump a massage with clary sage last night, think we'll be doing that plenty to try and get the baby moving! My doula is sure I'll give birth this weekend - I think she's pinning her hopes on it being a full moon tonight! The first of our NCT ladies had her little girl yesterday. According to hubby they are both doing well and he posted a picture - poor baby has a swollen eye and facial bruising so I'm pretty sure it was a forceps delivery, but mum went in on Weds to be induced as she was 40+12. I'm very glad they're both ok of course, but it makes me more determined to refuse induction if I feel ok and baby feels ok (I'm happy to have extra monitoring / scans after 42 weeks). Hopefully getting ahead of myself since I haven't reached 40 weeks yet!
After cake, I'll spend the afternoon catching up on Bake Off whilst bouncing on my ball!

BE - my jab hurt for about 4 days, my LO kept kissing it trying to make it better. Fingers crossed the wee sample is clear.
Mrs P - sending lots of work fast vibes to the workmen!!
Mrs B - sounds like a nice weekend you have planned, enjoy your relaxing day today.
Mrs 50s - Fingers crossed for this weekend, enjoy your cake this morning x

Mrs50s- I agree, i think we are going set up regular coffee and cake dates for the mummies but it will be nice doing this with the partners too!
how exciting, i wonder if your doula is right!!! enjoy your cake!
18/10/2013 at 11:30
MrsP - Sending vibes for speedy workmen!
Mrs Bass - Lunch with NCT group sounds good, hope you can keep in contact with some of them.
Mrs 50's - How exciting to think that you might have your baby this weekend! Enjoy bake off and bouncing!
Banzy - Thank you, midwife said it's likely a urine infection but I can't see how as I haven't noticed any problems.
Back home now, rather windy outside! Feel like going to bed, where has my energy gone?!
18/10/2013 at 11:41
Very quick visit this morning, will try to come back this afternoon. But just wanted to report that with the aid of paracetamol, 4 normal pillows and one V-shaped pillow I actually managed a reasonable night of sleep last night. Hurrah.
18/10/2013 at 11:51
Late to the party today!
HF- glad you had a better nights sleep. I feel your Ikea pain. We went for baby's wardrobe last Friday, didn't check stock and they didn't have everything we needed. We ended up bsck there again on Saturday so we could finish it! Hope you manage to get your decorating done before baby arrives.
Banzy- enjoy lunch! I haven't got a ball but feeling like it might be needed in the next few weeks..
BE- I felt like such a wuss after my whooping cough jab. My arm was so sore for days afterwards and really hurt when I lifted it. Hope it gets better soon and your sample comes back clear.
MrsPenguin- lots of workmen finishing vibes heading your way. I know what you mean about it being never ending. Upstairs still needs a teeny bit of paint touch ups but o can't bear to get the paint out, sick of the sight of it!
MrsBass- hope you get your party bits sorted. Sounds like a lovely day planned on Sunday.
Mrs50s- will be interesting to see if baby does arrive this weekend!
Afm- awful sleep last night. Woke up far too many times for my liking but I suppose it is something I will have to get used to. Had mw this morning. Baby is still 3/5 palpable so doesn't look like she is ready any time soon! Spending the afternoon at home and will be picking SD up later with H. H is really hoping baby comes in half term so SD will.be here lots but im not so sure entertaining a demanding 4 yr old, recovering and having no sleep sounds like so much fun! Haha
18/10/2013 at 13:30
Hmm, I really don't think it's the dog that needs a lucozade energy boost! :-)
18/10/2013 at 13:44
TT - Well done for managing a good nights sleep!
Sam - I love it when people say 'this would be a good time' H has given me a 7 day window of which he likes the sound of the DoBs!!! And my mum is going away next weekend so keeps telling me not to have the baby then....sigh! Cute dog :-)
18/10/2013 at 14:00
BE- my dad wants the baby here NOW. Ive been getting daily calls/ texts from him to check if anything is happening. Bless him! H would prefer next weekend onwards and im.happy for her to stay put until due date. Just a case of waiting to see who she is listening too I suppose! Haha
18/10/2013 at 14:31
Ah I love it (!) when men tell us what would be convenient. H rang me last night to say he was discussing his paternity leave with his boss (also male) and 'just wondered when I thought the baby would arrive.' As if I know!!
18/10/2013 at 15:20
Sam- now he has said he wants it here in half term, there is no way it going to come then!! ha ha!
Mrs50s- that is hilarious!! How good do they think womens intuition is?!
Not had an overly successful shopping trip! I got my balloons ordered, but the cheapo bowls I had seen that I wanted to get for decorations had sold out! I went to Ikea to see if they had anything suitable and left with christmas wrapping paper, that is all! Will have a rummage through some of the wedding bits to see if there is anything suitable!
18/10/2013 at 16:06
TT - glad you had a good nights sleep!
Sam - newborn and entertaining a 4 year old does sound hard work!
Back from lunch with my friend and feel really tired. Have the washing up to do but have text H to let him know it won't be done by the time he's home! might have a little kip before picking LO up from nursery. So glad it's the weekend and H will be around more although I think we are planning on getting more decorating done.
18/10/2013 at 16:11
Ive just eaten a whole 120g bar of dairy milk in one sitting!
18/10/2013 at 16:30
MrsBass- don't worry about it. That's pretty much a daily occurance for me...
