On route to work for the last time in 12 days, oh yeah, holiday tomorrow!
Slighty more leisurely train of 7:13 rather than the 6:36 the last couple of days, no early interviews today. In fact no interviews today at all. Going to be extra bright and breezy this morning, the rest of the company went off for a mini away day to Vinopolis at lunchtime yesterday, funnily enough I didn't really fancy it and planned to just go home early but by the time I got a report I needed from our regulators it was 4:45 - the time I normally leave! - I'm expecting a few sore heads today.
Bump is good, very wriggly yesterday and this morning. My belly button has almost gone already!
Do we all have nice weekend plans?
10/05/2013 at 07:28
Morning BG! Have a wonderful holiday, I'm not jealous at all, oh no.
I'm so glad it's Friday. Work as normal and then home so no exciting plans but it's just nice to reach the weekend! H is going out tonight so will no doubt be home very late and very drunk. Tomorrow I'm getting my hair cut and going to the theatre with my friend so I'm looking forward to that.
Happy Friday to all that follow x

TT - hairdressers and theatre sounds like a lovely weekend. At least you can leave H in bed to sleep off the night before whilst you go and get pampered! What are you going to see?
10/05/2013 at 07:44
BG, here's hoping for a relaxed last day before holidays!
TT, haircut and theatre sounds like a lovely day, what are you seeing?
AFM, usual dull day here, school run, shopping, school run again, swimming then dinner and bed! Nothing major planned for the weekend, H and my dad are running in a 5 mile race on Sunday morning so will probably go down with mum and the boys to watch the finish. Baby still lovely and wriggly and lots of people have commented on the size of bump this week! Prewashed my cloth nappies yesterday so have a clothes horse of cloth drying in the conservatory which is scary.
10/05/2013 at 07:45
I'm so rubbish at keeping up with these!
My boy was 2 yesterday so all was manic. His main present was a toddler bed, which he slept in all night with no problems. That said, I bet it won't be the case once he is more used to it!
Bump felt quite tight yesterday. A bit hard maybe? I also found my breathing a bit shallow. It had been a looooong day. Once I got to bed and led on left side a bit it got better. Am worried this baby has suddenly got massive! My skin doesn't feel really stretched (still plenty of give from last time I reckon) but inside I feel very full. And my innie is suddenly looking a lot smaller.
Still so long to go....

M - good luck to you dad and H. There's nothing cuter than little people clothes/nappies hanging out to dry.
IDC - happy birthday to your little boy for yesterday, mine turns 2 in 11 days, it's scary how fast it goes.
10/05/2013 at 08:16
BG- Shame you couldn't get away any earlier but now you can laugh at the others when they come in with sore heads
TT- What are you going to see at the theatre?
Margot - I bet all the cloth nappies look so cute drying in the conservatory
IDC - Hope your 2 year old manages to sleep through tonight aswell
AFM- I went to my first aquanatal class last night and i really enjoyed it, it just felt so nice to be doing some excercise. There was only me and one other lady there who hadn't been before either which was nice because we got talking. Today im shopping for some wool with my mum, i've decided to make a blanket for baby. I've been practicing my knitting and lets just say........it's a work in progress.
10/05/2013 at 08:26
BG - have a lovely holiday xx
TT - what you seeing at the theatre, sounds like a nice day x
Margot - not a boring day, just a busy day! Ooooh what's it like seeing all the nappies drying on the airer?
IDC - hope you weren't too uncomfortable x
Mummys -aquanatal sounds like fun! Good luck with the knitting x
AFM- I'm on the train to work, boo! But sitting here with all the noise from the tracks I get to feel the baby move which I love! H felt the baby luck for the first time on weds night too, and I felt a kick from the outside last night. I love this feeling :)

Margot - eeek thats exciting :) how many pre washes are you planing on doing?
IDC - my innie just seems to be getting bigger haha
Mummysimpson - im sure your knitting skills will be perfected for when baby comes :)
AFM - all good. meant to be going liverpool for the day tomorrow but im trying to cancel it. i dont fancy 6 hrs on the train tomorrow so trying to organise to do somethign else with my bestie instead. baby is all good. think she's moved this week as bump feels a lot heavier
10/05/2013 at 08:46
Sounds like we have some lovely weekend plans on here!
BG - ah jealous of your holiday. Hope your last day at work isn't too stressful, have a lovely time away x
TT - haricut and theatre sounds fab, what is it you're seeing?
M - did you get your Little Lambs? I also took advantage of the offers and they were due to be delivered today but I can't work from home to sign for them. Have re-arranged for Tuesday instead.
IDC - happy birthday to your LO for yesterday. I'm another one with an innie which seems to be looking shallower every day!
MS - aquanatal sounds fun, was the lady that you met due around the same time as you? Have fun wool shopping, I love a bit of knitting but can't claim to be any good at it!
PS - aw lovely to be feeling kicks and wriggles x
twink - have fun tomorrow whatever you decide to do.
AFM - didn't make it to yoga last night as was home late, bump felt achy and I was feeling really nauseous. Still felt so flutters and nudges so I think maybe just a growth spurt? I am so excited about our weekend as I am FINALLY going to the Harry Potter studios in Watford. It's crazy that it's been open a year and I haven't been yet, I'm a loony for all things Potter. Made H book the slot at 9:30 so we will have to be up early, which means early night for me tonight! Apart from that, will probably have ILs over for dinner tomorrow night as they've been on holiday all week, then hopefully a day of nothing on Sunday :)

Popcorn - She is 16 weeks so 2 weeks ahead of me, she was lovely, hope she will be there next week, she did say she would be :-)
10/05/2013 at 09:05
MS - lovely to meet someone due the same time as you, hope she goes next week too.
PS - I don't think the novelty of feeling baby move will wear off no matter how many babies I have, enjoy it.
Twink - I wouldn't fancy 6 hours on the train either!
PC - have a fab time at HP, just as well you booked it early, seems like you'll be up early with excitement anyway!

BG – I’m very jealous you are off on holiday for 12 days :( hope your last day is nice and quick!
TT – Sounds like nice Saturday plans to me. Spend tonight while H is out pampering yourself!
Margot – washing baby’s things already, scary times!
IDC – glad he slept all night, hopefully he sticks to it!
MummyS – Glad the aquanatal went well. Plenty of time to get that blanket perfect – I’m hopeless so I’m leaving the knitting to my aunt and MIL! Haha
PS – oh that’s lovely! And it gives me hope that my proper kicks won’t be too far off. H is desperate for a feel!!
Twink – hope you can get something organised for tomorrow. No wonder you don’t feel like travelling 6 hours, especially if bump is getting to the heavy stage!
Popcorn – that sounds like a nice weekend you have planned, enjoy!
AFM –appointment was amazing! She done the filling in of my file and then had a general chat. Then said “You know you won’t hear the heartbeat today”, Me “Yes I thought not”, Her “I’ll do it if you want, I’m not supposed to, but I’ll put say it was at patients request”. How could we refuse?! haha. She had a listen, baby was hiding at first but she found it quite quickly and let us record it so we could let all the family hear. She then roughly measured me – I didn’t think I was showing enough yet but hey ho. Measuring roughly 17cm at 16+5 so quite happy with that. She did tell me to drink more as my urine sample was quite dark and had a “little trace of protein” so I am now on a mission to down as much water as I can, I knew I wasn’t drinking enough tbh but with the horrible sickness I couldn’t face it. Hearing the heartbeat made it more real that I have a wee life to sustain though, so I’m on a nutritional kick (for a few days at least, til baby next craves cakes and chocolate!) Oh, and feeling more movements and bump looks bigger today…..we may be having a wee growth spurt!!
Apologies for the length of that – not like me to have that much to say!!
10/05/2013 at 09:18
Popcorn, yes they came yesterday so I've prewashed them along with all the others I've been buying. Twink, I've given them two prewashes so far which is what the Nappy Lady suggests on her site, I'm hoping that will be enough with small newborn amounts of wee but I might give the bamboo nappies and breastpads another one or two another day.
10/05/2013 at 09:19
Twink - i dont envy you if you have to sit for 6 hours on a train to liverpool. do something else!
PC - oooh have fun tomorrow, can you give us an update as i am tempted to take H for his birthday
BG - the novelty will never wear off, i love it. A lady at work got freaked out by her movements and didnt like them at all, (but she is odd), but i relish them :)
10/05/2013 at 09:30
Mrs M - I'm only away for a week, but I don't work Mondays or Tuesdays so it's 11 days off work. Great that you got to hear the heartbeat. I'm terrible for keeping myself hydrated so have taken to drinking juice rather than just water and fingers crossed not had a migraine in many a week now.
Hmmm, not so excited about my holiday now, weather is not looking too great, forecasting rain and 16/17 degrees by the end of the week. Hmph.
10/05/2013 at 09:37
MS - so nice that you've met someone near your DD :)
BG - too right, I will probably be bouncing in the car the whole way there! Hopefully the weather won't be too bad for you, will still be nice to be away and relaxing though.
MM - ah, lovely to hear the heartbeat. My MW let me record it on my phone as well and it's so lovely to be able to play it for your family. Makes it seem all the more real. Now get glugging that water Mrs!
PS - just try and stop me blathering about it ;) Will make sure I give you a full lowdown!
10/05/2013 at 10:33
Quick question girls. I had a mild pain in my side yesterday, in all the excitment with the heartbeat i forgot to mention it to the MW (can't be that sore right?!). Anyway, this morning it's still there, still mild, maybe even milder but I have this pressure down low when I pee. Do you think this is anything I should be worried about? I know last time I had a urine infection i had side pain, but it defo doesn't feel like that. Could it be the lack of hydration do we think? anyone else experiencing this pressure?
10/05/2013 at 10:39
Bg very excited for you for your holiday!
TT sounds like a nice Saturday to look forward to
Margot the nappies hanging sound cute!
IDC hope he sticks to sleeping all night!
Mummysimpson I really love aquanatal and swimming in general. Good luck with your blanket, I knitted one in 1st tri, very proud of it!
PS enjoy your kicks, it's a wonderful time
Twink have a great weekend
PC I'd love to go to harry potter studios!! Have a great time!
MrsM glad you had a good midwife apt
Afm had the worst nights sleep ever, constant backache then needing a wee, then needing a drink, then a nightmare, then H got up for work. Boo! I'm on nights tonight so hoping I get a nap this afternoon, or may watch a film on ipad in bed to relax. Baby is very active, went out for a meal with friends last night and they could see him wiggling. Have a good weekend all
10/05/2013 at 10:44
Bridget – hope today goes quickly and then it’ll be holiday time! Have a brilliant time!
Tina – sounds like you have a lovely Saturday planned. I always like if I’ve been clever enough to time a haircut with doing something in the evening. What are you going to see?
Margot – wow, you didn’t hang to prewash your nappies.. Mine are still sat waiting. Good luck to your H and dad – hope the weather is decent for them.
IDC – happy birthday to your little boy for yesterday.
Mummysimpson – aquanatal sounds fun, I wanted to do something like this, but the classes were at weird times. I’m sure once you get into a roll the knitting will come along!
Poppy – exciting feeling all those movements.
Twink – I wouldn’t fancy 6 hours on a train either, hope you get to rearrange your plans.
Popcorn – I realise I’m in the minority but I just don’t get Harry Potter, but hope you have a fab time.
Mrs Mack – very exciting getting to hear the HB! Nothing wrong with a bit of cake or /and chocolate in my books. Might be worth ringing up to mention it to them. This is why I write down notes of things I want to say at MW appointments as with baby brain and general excitement at hearing baby I would totally forget things otherwise.
Duckford – oh no, hope you manage a good nap later a film in bed sounds a good way to relax and might help send you to sleep!
AFM – not a lot to report babywise. I’m off to my friends wedding tomorrow in Wales. Will be exciting to see that group of friends they haven’t seen me since I’ve been pregnant (and the bride to be is pregnant too, so will be exciting seeing if she has a little bump yet (she’s about 19 weeks), so I’m having a day of pampering and finishing off the card, which along the line I’d totally forgotten about.
