Morning all - it's Friday!
Usual day planned here, school, supermarket shop, then back to school this afternoon for assembly before collecting Joshua, and swimming tonight. H is going away on a training course for Cubs this weekend so it's just me and the boys. We might venture to a railway open day tomorrow and we need to do lots of baking too, so that should keep us busy on Sunday when the weather looks rubbish.
Hope everyone else is well - what have you all got planned for the weekend?

Sounds lovely and relaxing. I guess this must be your last week on 2nd tri?
I'm rubbish at keeping up with these. This weekend we have no plans. Off to look at a house today (2nd viewing). Willing to make an offer but unsure they will accept. My mum doesn't like it / the area, which I can understand to a point, but given that its at the 'better' end of the street (second semi in) and the neighbours seem ok, I'm not too bothered? Provided we can pay what we want we should not be in negative equity. It needs no work doing. We can move straight in, overpay mortgage and be out in less than 10 years, when we should have th £ to buy a really nice home and know which schools to go for.
Pregnancy-wise all is ok. Baby a bit quiet but I think it's more fom me being too busy to notice properly than anything else. I have a cold sore, so I must be a bit run down. Not been sleeping well.
Where's all the good weather gone btw?
Oh, I'm 25+6

Sounds like a nice weekend you have planned.
Afm H and I are both off today and off to the baby show in bham. Not much big stuff needed now but thought it would be a nice day out and we will find something to spoil him with I'm sure! One of my work colleagues due 18 days before me has had her baby on Wednesday night, good condition but gestation but still unsettled me a little.
Hi to all that follow

Idc I missed you - good luck with the house viewing and potential offer!

Margot - sounds like you have a nice time planned with your boys this weekend.
IDC - the house sounds tempting, hope the viewing goes ok. It's grey and miserable looking here too :(
DF - have fun at the baby show. Must be very scary to hear about your friend but hope everything is ok for them xxx
AFM - quiz was good last night and fish n chips was yum but then had a terrible night's sleep. Was up at 4 and haven't been back to sleep since. Baby was wriggling loads which was nice, felt like more than just flutters but am now sooo tired. Early night for me tonight I think.
Hi to anyone else that follows, will pop back later x

Margot - Your weekend sounds lovely. I love the baking part!
IDC - Good luck with making an offer. Does it have any nice primary schools near by, i know it sounds mad talking about primary schools now, but I really wish i had thought of this when we bought a house when my LO was 1 year old. It might have an influence on your decision?
Duckford - have fun at the baby show. Is your work colleague ok? how is the baby?
PC - i was thinking about your fish and chip supper all day!!! Lovely to feel lots of movement, but not so good for the 4am start!
AFM - I am sooooooo glad it is friday, I have been so tired this week. I have a pedicure booked tomorrow with the SIL (who is 38 weeks pregnant!) before she goes back to B'ham, then on Sunday L has swimming and I am taking L to see show me show me with Chris and Pui at the theatre with a friend. I took her last year and she loved it, i think she is bit too old for it now as she doesnt watch it on TV but she loves going to the theatre, so i am sure she will be fine. I cant wait to get out and do something different. Oh and baby has been moving about loads :)
poppy 21+5 xxxx

Margot – Sounds like a nice weekend you have planned!
IDC – Hope the viewing goes well and they accept your offer. We might have stolen the weather, its sunny in Glasgow for a change!!
Duckford – Enjoy the baby show!! Hope your friends baby is doing ok x
Popcorn – Sorry to hear you had a bad nights sleep, but on the other hand must be nice to be feeling baby more now!! FX for a better night tonight x
AFM – Nothing much to report today. It’s Friday and the sun is shining in Scotland – for how long is another matter but for the moment it’s here! Woo!! Plans for this weekend are going shopping with mum tomorrow. I bought high red wedges the other week and am having second thoughts to I’m returning them and buying a pretty new dress instead, got lots of christening and stuff coming up so will need something nice to wear that fits!
Hi to all who follow, might try and pop back later! xx

Hi Mrs M - I would be more inclined to return the shoes and go for the dress! have you got any in mind? x

Margot- Sounds like a lovely weekend you have planned. Hope you and the boys have fun while H is away.
IDC- Good luck with the 2nd house viewing. I have no idea where the good weather went but I am not impressed with all this rain!
Duckford- Don't be spoiling little one too much! (okay, okay you have my permission to spoil baby lots really) haha. Have fun today and I hope everything is okay with your friend and her baby x
Popcorn- I really want fish and chips tonight now. Glad the quiz was fun. Rubbish that you didn't have a good nights sleep. Try to take it easy today!
PS- Sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned. Enjoy getting your toes pampered tomorrow and Sunday sounds like a nice day!
AFM- 16 week appointment with MW today. I haven't felt the best this week, just generally a bit down in the dumps (woe is me!). Have H's daughter tonight until tomorrow evening and then planning on doing nothing on Sunday. Nipped in to Toys'r'us last night and was having a look at the prams. H was hopeless and found a squidgey ball which he kept throwing at me so all in all wasn't a very succesful trip!

M- sounds like you have a nice weekend with your boys planned
IDC - I agree with PC to consider primary schools now. It's so hard trying to get the compromise between space, area (inc schools) and affordability. We're in a bit of a quandary wrt moving ourselves, although we're both so fussy about our next forever home that I think I'd the right house came up we may go for it.
Duckford - have fun at the baby show. How scary about your colleague, especially as she's due so close to you. Hope she and the baby have a straightforward SCBU stay.
PC - I hate it web that happens and you're tired all day. Hope an early night sorts you out.
PS - have fun at the theatre, I must say though I don't envy you I can't stand Pui!
AFM - last full day of holiday today, although we don't fly until 9pm tomorrow. The sun has gone back to bed it seems, very overcast. Not sure what the plans are today, was thinking of going to some caves but no-one can really be bothered, could just go for a local wander.
Bump, apart from the last 15 minutes, has been exceptionally quiet, but I H and stepMIL all think I've really grown this week. In fact H came out with the rather profound statement that my bump is definitively getting bigger.
BG 23+0 and taken so long to type this I've probably missed half the thread!

Mrs M - I'd return the shoes. I only wear heals in the office these days. So many pretty flat sandals you can wear instead.
Sam - at least you got your H into a kid/baby shop I was 38 weeks last time before I got H into one and by that point I'd already bought everything. Must say it was easier to sort it all myself. Hope mw goes well.

The wedges were from New Look and at £30 I thought quite pricey for there! But they were bright red and went so well with the maxi dress I had just bought.....but realistically, I'm always in flats just now! Have seen a couple of shorter length tea dresses on the website so I've got a few ideas.
Just had a call to arrange delivery of nursery furniture, Weds 29th May eeeeeek! Will need to get a start on clearing out the spare room this weekend!!
17/05/2013 at 10:51
PS - ha sorry to get you thinking about fish and chips - you had me thinking about almond croissants the other day though. Sounds like you have a nice weekend planned, enjoy!
MM - Exciting about the nursery furniture! I would probably be more inclined to get a dress that will see you through a few occasions. I love heels but can't be bothered to wear them at the moment! Did you see Kim Kardashians's feet in her clear wedges on today's Daily Mail? (It's my guilty pleasure, don't judge) Ewwwww!
Sam - oh dear, not a productive shopping trip to Toys R Us, I'm sure you'll have plenty of more successful ones in the future. Enjoy your weekend, hope you feel a bit cheerier and GL at your MW appointment.
BG - enjoy your last day, even if it isn't sunny :)
17/05/2013 at 11:55
Not looked at daily mail online yet (my guilty pleasure too) but I did see her in her erm...lovely see through top yesterday - I'm confused, I thought she was supposed to be quite fashionable. Pregnancy must have pickled her brain!

Re:primary schools -there are 4 in the area and all pretty comparable (and walkingish distance), oh, 5 actually although the last one I'm thinking of is catholic and the other side of town.
It's only a small town, and I grew up there, so I know the area really well, and it's 5 miles from where we are now!
