Happy Friday ladies,
How is everyone today?
I'm fine, got loads of appointments coming up this weekend, including a 36 week chat at the birth centre. Not sure what that entails exactly. Had a chat with my boss yesterday and he said I could work my 38th week at home so I only have two more weeks in the office. Scary stuff, don't think I'm ready for this!
Baby out vibes for Mrs P.

Not long to go now! Having a week less to go in.the office probably feels like mat leave is starting earlier too? Enjoy trip to birth centre x
AFM, non-wriggly baby yesterday had me worried so went off for monitoring, typically it started wriggling on way to hospital and ctg trace showed all is fine. And I've been awake most of the night getting kicked to bits, so all good! Quiet day, got a post office trip to do then H will be home at lunchtime and we have to empty Ms bedroom so it can be decorated tomorrow - shall leave the heavy lifting to him. Ordered my cloth nappies last night, so another thing bought :) today I need to order new curtains for Ms bedroom and I'm watching a crocheted shawl and a changing bag on fleabay. Def making progress!
Hope everyone is well, baby out vibes to MrsPenguin x

LD - Oooh not long to go then! Hopefully the next few weeks will fly in for you.
afm - 38 weeks today. Feeling a bit lightheaded this morning so not sure if i can handle going to toddlers or not. Maybe just have a snuggly morning with Phoebe instead. Ordered my papoozle sling so hoping it comes soon so I can have a wee practise with it. H finishes early on a fri so will probably venture into town later on pay in some cheques and cash we all got for christmas.

Room for one more? I'm 28+1 today so think I have graduated to the 'big, big girl's club' now! I used to be Mossy but changed my name to Section4 on this pregnancy. A clue in the name this will be my 4th c section. A little bit about me ..... I have quite a complicated pregnancy history. Have probably had most pregnancy related illnesses! My oldest was born at 31 weeks due to me having severe pre eclampsia, she spent 4 months in hospital and was then 02 dependant until she was 18 months. She is now a lively nearly 6.5 year old and you would never guess she was prem. I was then put on the miracle of aspirin and managed to get to 38+2 with both of my boys. However in these pregnancies I did have suspected IUGR and obstetric cholestasis. I am high risk again this time following a doppler scan at 23 weeks. I have a high chance of developing PE again, however it seems to be behaving itself at the moment. I had the same in my 2nd pregnancy and managed to get to 38+2. So am hoping for something similar. I am on weekly BP checks (although it has been fine) and growth scans every 4 weeks. I had my last growth scan on Monday and the baby is estimated to be around 2lb 8- so I am very happy with that.
Little Dude- I hope all of your appointments go well.
Weekender- your LO is being naughty for you. Did you go for monitoring after our message last night?
CK- I mush prefer the idea of a cuddly morning with P!

Weekender - Good work with all the progress. Glad the monitoring went well, it's better to have these things checked out.
CK - I'd definitely opt for cuddles this morning. Wow 38 weeks today! How many weeks were you when you had your other two?
S4 - welcome to third Tri. Glad everything is going better with this pregnancy.

Sorry ABC, missed you there. I remember the agony of the whopping cough jab. Poor you. Hope you manage to finish work early today.

LD, great news for working from home in your last week , should make things easier.
Weekender, glad baby is ok! Good luck with the fleabay bits!
CK, enjoy your snugly morning with P x
S4, welcome to 3rd tri, fingers crossed its text book for you this time x
Abc, the jab is horrible , at least the arm ache is short lived !
Afm, thanks for the vibes - keep them coming! Got a busy day planned today, visiting 2 nurseries and picking up the new car, watch my waters break on the way home in it (I should be so lucky) x

LD - That is nice of your boss offering for you to work from home. I bet you will be ready for it in 2 weeks!
WE - Glad baby is ok. I had the same thought this morning but he is kicking away now, little rascal! I can't wait to use my cloth nappies, need to start pre washing the bamboo ones so they will be ready.
CK - Put your feet up and rest, you don't want to have a funny turn whilst out :)
Section 4 - Welcome to 3rd tri. Glad things are going well for you at the moment.
ABC - You have my sympathies, my arm was really bruised and sore after that jab!
Mrs P - Hope baby makes an appearance soon (but not in your new car!!).
AFM - Not a great night last night, boiler has decided to break :( House was freezing this morning. Hopefully plumber will be able to fix it this evening else it could be a chilly weekend.
NCT class starts tomorrow so looking forward to that and hopefully will have a nice group of people to get to know.

LD - that's BRILL news about working from home!! I'm sure that'll make a huge difference!
WE - that must have given you a fright but glad all is well with bubs. Being kept awake by the belly party is simultaneously frustrating and fabulous!
CK - defo take it easy and enjoy your cosy day!
S4 - welcome to 3rd tri! You've certainly had a heck of a time of it with your previous pregnancies but it sounds like you are being looked after well and fx for a healthy 3rd tri!
ABC - I actual couldn't sleep on that arm for 2-3 after the whopping cough jag so you have my sympathies too!
Mrs P - C'mon baby!!!!!!!!! Sending you super duper vibes!!!! Hopefully your busy day will spur things on!
Mrs V - that is RUBBISH about the boiler you poor thing :( fingers crossed you get it fixed for the weekend. Enjoy your class!
AFM - had our first NHS parent craft class last night. There were 19 couples there! I can't say it was especially helpful but it was the first week and it was nice to meet other women expecting at the same time. This baby is mostly limbs in again and if it wasn't for the very frequent hiccups (at least twice a day!) and the subtle movements under my placenta I'd worry but thankfully I'm not! Thank crunchie for Friday - I'm shattered!

SP - What's a NHS parent craft class?! My midwife hasn't set up an antenatal class for me yet so I'm glad that we signed up for a NCT one!
10/01/2014 at 11:35
just got into the office had midwife appointment this morning! - Waves at everyone!
all ok with baby it has flipped sides and changed position but all is well, had a lovely time out at dinner last night with the NCT girls! and this afternoon got apponitment at hospital for anaestists < i can never spell that right!
anyway happy friday you guys
will catch up later x

Mrs V it's just the standard NHS ante classes....there are 4 in total. Last night was an intro and discussion of expectations, next week is labour/birthing, third week is coping mechanisms and the last week is post natal/baby equipment. The MW running it is a hypno birthing practitioner so I like her style (i.e. coping mechanisms rather than pain relief!) We have the option of going to other workshops in breast feeding and physio are running one in birthing positions. I'm quite relieved not to have to pay for NCT ones I have to say as hopefully I'll get everything I need from these.
Hi NLH! Glad to hear everything is good with your bubs!

Late as usual, but thanks for answering my BH question yesterday.
LD- I work from home quite a bit and it's brill. For me the lay ins are the best part, oh and sitting in my PJ's to work lol
WE- Glad all was ok x
CK- Hope you enjoyed your snuggle
S4- Good to see you again
ABC- Hope you're ok. I have my jab on Tuesday as well as my B12 injection at the same time. No doubt I'll be moaning after about both arms.
MP- I hope your baby decides today is the day... but not in the car
MV- Hope the boiler gets sorted soon, and you enjoy your NCT class, my first one was this week. I'm not really sure how it went it seemed to be more of a get to know each other session than anything else. The woman seems nice but a but hippyish (my MW had warned me about this), the group has 6 couples in and were all about the same stage and age (well late twenties to mid thirties) so hopefully it'll be a good support network.
SP- What's an NHS parenting class?? They must not have them in my area
NLH- Glad you enjoyed your meal and good luck with the anaesthestist
AFM- The OH has pulled his finger out and the nursery is now 98% done. It's made me so excited getting all the baby bits in drawers. So I'm overly giddy today, good job really as I was up half the night with BH and wanting to eat. I've literally gone from forcing food down for the majority of the pregnancy to having to get up in the middle of the night to eat because I'm starving.
10/01/2014 at 15:13
Sorry SP, just saw your last post. We don't have this in our patch, just specific classes like active birth (not relevant to me), and breast feeding (again unless the consultant changes her mind not relevant). So I was glad I had the NCT courses to turn to.
10/01/2014 at 16:01
NLH, hope the meeting went well x
Babylonglegs, when do we see a nursery pic?
The car survived, no appearance from him yet!
10/01/2014 at 17:45
Not sure if you'll be back BLL but just wanted to say hi and fab news on the nursery!
10/01/2014 at 22:35
Once the nursery is done, I'll put up a pic. It's nearly there but the bit that needs sorting is painting touch ups so it looks messy. Hoping to have it done by Monday though
