Hope everyone is well today and these due babies are starting to get a shift on!
AFM- slightly better night sleep last night. Those mattress protector things make you so hot! I've out mine under the mattress topper thingy and I'm still boiling on it! Watched that day in the NHS thing last night and it featured a baby starved of O2 at birth. Will be so glad to get this one out safely! H is now as paranoid as I am! Working from home today so might quickly clean the kitchen and bathroom before turning on the laptop.
Fairly quiet weekend. Got a few girls over to my parents tomorrow for a little baby shower minus the shower bit as I can't stand the assumption everyone will bring presents! So just lots of cake. can I have some no-call from diabetes mw vibes please!
Have a good day everyone and a great weekend.

WH - hope that there is no need for yours and H's paranoia and all is good with the baby. Your plans for tomorrow sound lovely. I have a baby shower planned in a few weeks time and have the same feelings about gifts. For me it's just a good excuse to get the girls together and eat lots of cake! Lots of vibes for no-call from diabetes MW
AFM - day off today and am still in bed enjoying the peace and quiet! Baby is wriggling around so am enjoying watching and feeling that. Think I will get up soon and go to gym to do a class where the teacher is also pregnant so has modified exercises for us. Then have loads of errands to do in town. Hopefully I can fit in some relaxation before the in laws come over for dinner this eve!
Have a good day all. Will pop back later x

Didn't see that program but I can imagine it got you paranoid, H walked in from work whilst I was catching up on OBEM right when that baby was stuck and he looked slightly terrified, I think he's relieved we're having a planned section this time! Hope your cleaning doesnt take too long this morning! Baby cake party sounds great, hope that the MW doesn't call too and things are all clear!!
I think the nesting is starting here, feeling desperate to get things sorted and clean! I've been painting, rearranging rooms and constantly cleaning! On a decluttering mission at the moment to make room that will no doubt be filled with baby stuff!
I'm not sure if it's the iron tablets but in the last week or so I've started getting period pain like cramps every now and then, anyone else had this?
Hope everyone's ok and baby out vibes those needing them!

WH, didn't watch that prog on the NHS last night, glad I didn't now you have said that! Enjoy the cake tomorrow Did you get your GTT results back?
Ferbs, sounds like an active day! Hope you get all your jobs done!
AFM - Not a great sleep as N has a chest infection so H and I were up and down all night giving medicine/drinks etc and generally just cuddling him as he's feeling so rotten. My mum is coming over for 11am ish to take control of N for me for a few hours so I can sit/rest/sleep or whatever. I need to pop out and buy some newborn sleepsuits as I think the one I've chosen for baby's first outfit is going to be too small as it only goes up to 7.5lbs. Tried a big hot curry last night which was delicious but no baby, not even a niggle! I'll be here for a while yet Wondering how the hell I've got this far, quickest pregnancy ever! 38+5 today.
Baby out vibes to VE who is 39+0 today I think!
ferbs...missed you there! enjoy your day off and meal tonight! Make sure you do fit in some relaxation between the class and chores!!
05/04/2013 at 08:44
Missed you there Libby. Could you be constipated from the iron tabs? Or perhaps it's Braxton Hicks?? Have fun sorting baby's room!
05/04/2013 at 08:47
hep...sorry N isn't well, hopefully tonight will be a better night! Shame the curry didn't do anything, do you know when they will induce you if nothing happens, obviously hopefully it won't come to that anyway! Are you one of the ladies expecting a big baby? I get confused!!
05/04/2013 at 09:15
No big baby here, likely to be c. 8-8.5lbs prob. I'm quite against induction so would ideally refuse unless there is a medical reason to induce. My hosp does it at 40+10 but I'll certainly be refusing that and trying to hold off until I go into labour naturally! Ask me again at term+9 though I may think differently?!
05/04/2013 at 09:27
Ferbs- you're making me feel very lazy with you gym going! I did last time but what with hg in first tri I've not gone back this time! Have a nice day.
Libby- I've had those for about a month now. I'll get quite a few in a row and then none for a couple of days. Doesn't feel like tightenings as such. Odd! Think I did my nesting back in December and January as practically every room for decorated!
Hep- sorry you were up lots again. How's your own chest infection now? And the SPD? Try and get some rest when your mum comes over. Hopefully things won't go as far as being very overdue!
05/04/2013 at 09:30
hep...I don't blame you, I went to 40+14 with my first and ended up being induced, I was having contractions for a few days before and was only a couple cms and i just wanted baby out by then!
Im getting lots of Braxton Hicks aswell so it's not them but I am quite constipated from the iron so it probably is that!!

WH - Your baby cake party sounds fab! Lots of no-diabetes vibes coming your way. I am starting to worry about bubba more now too. I guess its only natural the closer we all get!
Ferbs - Enjoy your lie in. I have only just got up too! Well done on still gymming!
Libby - Sounds like the nesting is really kicking in! I had some period like pains last week but they just went away. If you are worried or they become regular just give your hosputal triage number a ring x
Hep - Poor N. Hope he feels better soon and you get your shopping done. Thanks for all your vbac advice yesterday x
AFM - after my post last night i have my positive head back on and thinking positive vibes for my vbac. Think it was just going through the labour info with my mw that freaked me out again. I really believe in the power of positive thinking so trying to put all the negativity aside and concentrating on getting the house ready and getting excited for our new arrival! Still cant believe she is already 2/5ths engaged although i have had so much pressure down there i think i kind of knew. Bet she will end up being late now ha ha! First week of mat leave not quite going to plan - Weds my pregnant friend had to go to the hospital unexpectedly so i babysat her 2 kids and i had G with me for 5 hours. Yesterday had midwife and a friend over so didnt get anything done. Today babysitting for another friend from 12 till about 3 so wont get much done today either! Then tomorrow i think the outlaws are descending. I need to nest!!!

Can I bring a fruit salad?
05/04/2013 at 10:46
Ha ha, yes! Crudités and houmous all round?!
On phone so can't do personals, so will pop back on later. Am currently at bluewater enjoying breakfast without husband or baby! Will go for a wander quickly afterwards, before going home to pick up C before seeing friends today.
Just had antenatal appointment - she didn't bother with a mini sweep as baby is *still* not engaged so it wouldn't have done anything. She did book me in for induction though, so at least I now have an end date in my head (not being a diva - much - but not telling anyone apart from close family when that is, stops the speculation!). Will have a community appointment at 38+3 so will be offered a sweep then, which I'll accept if baby isn't already here!
Will pop back later - no GD vibes for you WH! And baby out vibes to VE and Hep x
