I am hoping that Notts Lass is busy welcoming her little one into the world - hope all those baby out vibes worked for you!
AFM - I posted last night that I had a great meeting with my midwife yesterday. She was really supportive and understanding about the home birth and cleft issues, so I am really happy about that! Baby is in a good position and measuring spot on - very wriggly again today too!!
I am planning a quiet day. H is away until Sunday evening. I have the girls (and kids) coming over tomorrow for lunch, so need to do a spot of shopping and lay an easter egg hunt in preparation!

Sounds like a great appointment Al! Glad the home birth is looking positive.
Baby out vibes to NL but hoping they aren't neeeed!!
AFM, We're off bowling with friends at 11am then lunch with them after which should be good. Hopefully I'll get a nap later too! I'm not going to bowl as think it'd kill the SPD so shall be in charge of the toddler I'd imagine!
Have a good day everyone!

AFM - Well i'm not sure how it's happened, but i'm now 33+1 today. Think baby is taking a little growth spurt to itself as my bump seems to be changing shape again, and i'm getting uncomfortable in new places! I have to say that although i'm not enjoying being this uncomfortable, i absolutely LOVE watching baby move my tummy, and feeling it's feet poking out my side is so amazing!
It's the Easter weekend, so i'm off work until Tuesday. H is working today and Monday, but we've got the weekend together. not that we have anything planned as we're going away on Holiday next weekend for a week with my parents....well, we're sharing accommodation and that's about it.
Only 5 more weeks of work left, although i'm on holiday for one of them, so technically 4 weeks....and then next week is only a four day week, so even shorter again! :-)
Had a meeting with my line manager to agree roughly what my phased return will be like. The plan is that i will go back on the books at work from Mid January 14, start a 3 day a week phased return from the beginning of February where i will be back Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays to begin with, which still allows me 4 day weekends with baby until April when i will return full time. She also told me that they think they have my mat cover sorted, and the girl who is going to be doing it is a friend from a previous job, so i'm excited that she will be covering for me as i know she is more than competent!
I have a strange question, but does anyone else find that the top of your bump sometimes can get a bit hot and almost numb feeling from time to time? i'm finding the area on my left just below my left boob sometimes gets like this and i don't know if it's anything i should be worried about, or if it's just a stretching thing from baby growing and being incredibly insistent that it wants to stick it's bum up there.
Sending (what i hope are unnecessary) Baby Out vibes to NL!! Hope to see your BA soon!
Happy Easter everyone!!

Hi everyone. I;ve been a bit AWOL this week, sorry.
I'm afraid I am just too tired for personals today. A came into my room at 2.30am having puked EVERYWHERE - seriously it was all over his face, in his eyes, everything. I spent the next 2 hours sorting him out and cleaning up all the mess. My room is on the floor below his so there was a trail of sick all over the house, walls etc, ugh. H had gone out with work, got home at 1am and gone to the spare room (next to the bathroom where I was washing A) and was oblivious to the whole thing. A then wanted in bed with me so I got no sleep whatsoever. It's safe to say H is the dog house - I am furious at him. Not so much that he didn't get up to help me but that he was so irresponsible and got so drunk when he has 2 kids and a heavily pregnant wife at home who had been in hospital the night before........
and so onto the other drama this week. I have mentioned before my concern at the BH's I have been getting in this pregnancy. On Weds they were all day and pretty strong - I was out with a friend in the afternoon and she knew when I was having them as I was pulling faces. By about 7pm I thought I best ring up and ended up going to the hospital to be assessed. With A these started at 36 weeks and I dismissed them as 'just' BH"s, was admitted at 36+4, given 2 shots of steroids and delivered him at 37+1 so given this is
no 3 I am worried about being pre term again. Anyway, they did a trace and could see the tightenings showing up about every 5 mins. They also took a swab that they could test for some sort of hormone which came back negative. Finally they did an examination which was hideous! They stuck the most GIGANTIC plastic thing up me (with no lube because it invalidates the swab!) so that they could get right up to my cervix and dear god did it hurt! Anyway, long story short I was sent home and told to keep an eye on them Saw my mw the next day and she found some protein in my wee which is being sent off for further testing as she sad I really need to be careful not to get a UTI as that can kick things off as well. Sigh, it never just rains does it.
Otherwise all fine! See my consultant on Tuesday am so hoping to get my CS date booked in!
Have a lovely long weekend everyone x
