Morning ladies, who's around? Did you all have nice weekends? What did you get up to? We went to a 1st birthday party of one of my NCT friends little boys which was lovely. Can't believe they're all turning 1! I disgraced myself my eating an obscene amount to keep nausea at bay and they were all looking at me strangely, oops. In other news, I was actually sick this morning :( my fault really as I wait until S gets up to have breakfast with him but he slept in late so I was starving. I broke my golden rule of 1st tri: always keep breadsticks in your knicker drawer and eat before you get up lol! Will pop back later to see how you all are :) Popcorn 7+3

Morning Popcorn! Your weekend sounds lovely! Oops to the breaking of rules! I'll need to get myself organised for the potential upcoming Morning Sickness!

AFM - Told H's family and was met by the MIL with 'I'd have thought you'd have waited another year'  before saying congratulations.  told the BIL and SIL too and caught them completely by surprise, which was awesome! they're thrilled for us. went shopping on Saturday to the ASDA baby event to get some wipes and nappies while they were on offer, and bought W the cutes Jake and the Neverland Pirates Jammies! He wouldn't let go of them, and all the way round ASDA he was swinging his arms singing 'yo ho ho'  Other than that i had a very quiet weekend.

Symptomwise I've not really had much going on,  Mild cramping as the usual, and had a bit of diarrhea too which wasn't pleasant, but i suspect was baby related as i've not eaten anything that H hasn't, and he's been fine.

    Hi to all who follow!

    Hello ladies.

Popcorn - glad you had a lovely weekend and sorry about the sickness, hopefully it will pass soon for you.

RKB - Glad you had great reactions when you shared the news, I love seeing people's reactions!

AFM - we were camping at the weekend, I was dreading it but actually had a lovely time, the weather was great though which helped. I was knackered when I got back yesterday as I didn't manage to get much sleep, my own bed was like heaven!

Quick question - has anyone been on holiday whilst pregnant? I'm going to Majorca on Sunday for 4 days with my mum, I'll be 12 weeks on Friday (!) and I'm just wondering if there's anything I should be aware to avoid or anything I need to do whilst flying or when I'm there?

RKB glad telling everyone went well. I'm expecting a similar reaction to your MILs when we tell people. We haven't told anyone at all yet, it's still sinking in with us I think.

Woowoo - glad camping was fun. I went on holiday to Cuba when I was 9 weeks and it was fine really. I was careful to avoid local water and ice and didn't eat any seafood or eggs because I was a bit nervous about them not being cooked properly. Other than that, I just took comfy clothes for the flight and just enjoyed relaxing when I was there. My mw told me that your skin can be a bit more sensitive when you're pregnant so I wore a very strong suncream. I was so pale when I got back (normally I fry in factor 8 oil sshhh) so everyone at work knew something was up! Sounds lovely though, have fun!

Glad you had a good weekend Woowoo! Can't help with the holidays i'm afraid, we stayed in the country, so didn't have to worry about flying.

We've only told direct family (mums/dad and siblings) but will wait to tell everyone else.  My friend and colleague that i work with knows too, but she sussed me out rather than me telling her... but it's good to have someone on the inside.
