Exhausted here - I am only 22 weeks tomorrow, I don't know how people keep working as close to due date as they do. I'm stopping at 35 weeks and am already counting it down! I didn't do MUCH this weekend, but I think I did too much IYKWIM. Every bit of me aches!
I've got Weds off work this week but actually that won't help, as my riding horse (who is out on loan) is competing in a big country show and I'm helping as groom / doing the transport. This will mean a longer and more physical day than a normal day at work - I'm already planning a nap in the car halfway through the day!! Lots of early nights as well this week to try and balance it out.
Eek that was all a bit moany. On the plus side (ish) baby has started kicking every day. I don't love the feeling, but it is reassuring! We have our 2nd anomaly scan on Friday to try and check the bits they couldn't see last time due to position.

Mrs 50s- Sorry that you are feeling so exhausted today! Hope you manage to have a quiet week at work and a few early nights to make up for the weekend and Wednesday. I'm officially looking to start maternity at 38 weeks but will probably be finishing about 36 weeks with holidays that I'm tagging on before. I'm already counting down the days, not because I'm so exhausted but just because I don't want to be in work! I'm still not feeling too much in terms of movement and it's driving me mad! I want to feel lots of kicks just so I'm reassured. Glad you have a nice wriggly baby :)
AFM- Took me forever to be able to sign in today. I woke up this morning and didn't feel like I had been to sleep. We were up late watching a film last night so didn't go to sleep until 1ish. I didn't feel too bad because I had a lie in on Sunday but definitely felt it this morning! Even H was really sleepy so don't think it's pregnancy, just general lack of sleep. I already feel like I'm having a really 'can't be bothered' day at work. Not good! Had another discussion about what we are doing with the house on the way to work. Getting a bit stressed about this and just wish everything was a little easier at the minute!
Hope everyone has a lovely day x

Mrs 50s - Make sure you get that nap in, sounds like you need a rest! Hope baby is behaving on Friday for you!
Sam - I had a rubbish sleep last night and I really can't be bothered either. I am sure baby is fine, you will feel something soon! Maybe baby is just further back. My friend never felt any real kicks, just alot of rolls but not until later on.
I have soooooo much to do today! Not in the office Wed or Thursday as I am in Newcastle and Hexham for work, dreading the drive up there! Early starts are a killer!

Mrs 50s - Sorry you're feeling so exhausted, I'm the opposite at the moment though I won't hold my breath for it lasting. Glad to hear baby us moving more every day. Mines the same (surprise surprise!)
Sam - Monday's are the worst after the sunday morning lie ins then you're not tired on a Sunday night! Hope you get everything sorted with house plans!
AFM - Not a great deal to report. H thought he felt baby kick the other day but wasn't very emotional about it which annoyed me haha, but last night she was going proper nuts and he properly felt her, no denying it and he was all smiley and soft about it, so I got all teary haha, pregnancy hormones! So he first officially felt her kicking on father's day! Also having a dilemma with how to decorate nursery now, we were going neutral and the in laws bought all the bits - now I want pink, oh dear!
LP - missed you there lovely, sorry you've got a hectic day ahead, hope its not too bad for you! x

LP- I have been feeling little muscle type twitching but want definite karate chop kicks! haha I spent the whole of yesterday evening with my hands on my belly to try to see if I could feel her from the outside but nothing. H thinks I am a nutter.. haha! Booo to having a busy day. I really do just want to sit and do nothing today!
Mrs Mack- How amazing that your H got to feel baby on Father's day! That is so lovely. I know what you mean about pregnancy hormones, I have had a few teary moments over the weekend. I texted my dad at about 1am last night to tell him how much I loved him because we watched a film where her father died and it terrified me! Was sat crying on the sofa trying to hide my tears from H so he doesn't think I have completely lost the plot haha.

Ive just realised there are 2 2nd tri threads on the go this morning so im just going to past what I wrote on the other one!
The time has come for me to joing you ladies over on 2 Tri!
I know someof you from 1st Tri but for those of you that don't know me, Im Mrs Bass (as in double, not fish!)
I am 14+ 2 with our first baby so its very exciting & scary at the same time. My EDD is 14 Dedember. Apart from nausea & tiredness, Ive been ok with side effects although my lower bach is aching quite a lot! Im starting a new job in a new department in a few weeks and so im going to have to go back to keeping secrets and trying to hide the bump for a few weeks!
Looking forward to getting to know you all soon!

Mrs Bass- I did notice that too! Welcome to 2nd tri :) Another first timer here (H has a daughter) so I know what you mean about it being exciting and scary. I think worry and excitement regarding these little ones isn't something that is ever going to leave us! When are you planning on telling your new department about your pregnancy? I don't think I would be fooling anyone if I tried to hide bump now although some days it does seem more prominent than others.
Hope 2nd tri is a breeze for you x

We were at my nephew's christening yesterday and my H had a couple of moments when we were surrounded by toddlers and babies of "oh my god, we are going to have one of these!" :-)
The new job is a bit complicated! It is an internal job that doesnt start until mid aug. However, my current contract finished at the end of June and if I have more than 1 week between contracts I loose my continued service & therefore maternity package. Luckily there is a role in the new department that I can cover until I start my role so i don't loose continued service.
I want to make sure all contracts are signed etc and ideally to have started the job mid aug before I announce anything! I think I have to tell them before week 25 and I'll start the job in week 24!!! Yikes!

Mrs Bass- We had a moment like that too. My 2 year old nephew is 'challenging' (take that as a complete nightmare!) and when we went to see him yesterday I came away thinking 'I'm so glad we are having a girl, surely girls can't be like that!' haha. It makes it a little easier than H already has a daughter but to think that we are going to have a LO around 24/7 still feels completely bizarre!
Ahh I understand why you are wanting to keep bump covered for as long as possible now! Really hope everything runs smoothly. You will feel so much better come mid August and everything has fallen in to place!

Afternoon ladies :-) hate Mondays, did not want to get out of bed this morning!
Mrs50s - Hope you get some rest! I'm planning to finish work at 36 weeks. Nice that you're getting regular movements, I'm looking forward to that :-)
Sam - Early night tonight then! I struggle to stay up past 9 hehe.
LP - Early starts for work are not good :-( I'm on the train to Bristol for work right now but luckily they always let us travel during working hours so the day before in this instance.
Mrs Mack - How sweet about Father's Day and the kicking :-) my H likes to know when I feel flutters but at the same time he says it 'weirds him out' a bit so not sure what he'll be like when he can feel the kicks!
Mrs Bass - Welcome to 2nd Tri :-) hope all the timings with your job work out ok.

Yeah it's a slightly tricky situation! and s bit annoying as everyone in my team knows and ive only just stopped hiding it and telling lies! Hopefully if i get my contract signed soon I can tell them sooner!

Hello ladies... When do I venture over here? I'm 13+6 x
17/06/2013 at 15:38
Mrs Bass- I will keep my fingers crossed that you get everything signed sooner!
Custard- I think it is 13 weeks? or possibly 14!? Either way you are pretty much there so welcome! x
