Hope everyone had a nice weekend in the sunshine?
I had a good one, collected thr double I won on eBay on Saturday morning and as it was near to her, I popped in to see Bluewater to meet the delightful Otis and stole half of Coco's wardrobe whilst I was there. Yesterday H took A to a party whilst I went to a pampered chef party and won the raffle again! Now it's my turn to host at the end of July.
Shattered today after A woke up about a dozen times between 2 and 4. Then when he was finally back a sleep I woke up with excruciating cramp in both calves, argh! Fairly quiet day, have a friend over for a playdate this morning. May join A when he has his afternoon nap!
Little Bob is very wriggly this morning. I am noticing the strain of the bump a lot more now.

Morning Bridget. Sounds like a lovely weekend :) Hope you get some sleep this afternoon!
Afm, 14+4 which is now just getting scary! Overdone it on Friday photographing a wedding and had some horrid cramping :( Settled quickly though. Nausea gone, still sick occasionally but can handle that!
Found out on Thursday that my brother and his girlfriend are having a girl in October, has made me sure I want to find out! :)
Have a good day all.

BG -Sounds like you need a nap today! Hope you get one
Chimpanzee - Glad the cramping settled.
AFM - Busy weekend with a 30th meal on Sat then a family BBQ on Sunday. Also found out my best friend is expecting. I am sooooo excited!!!! It's very early days but she will be on mat leave for part of my leave too! Yay!!!!!!!!!

Chimpanzee - ooh, exciting about havig a neice! Glad the cramping settled.
LP - was it your 30th? If so, happy birthday! Lovely news about your best friend, especially as you'll both be of together!
03/06/2013 at 08:53
BG - No mine was in March, this was a mate. Lots of 30th this year though amongst my friends. Typical that I am upduffed for all this partying!

BG - what a lovely weekend! Maybe you should play the lottery if you're on a winning streak! Enjoy a chilled day today - especially that nap
Chimp - how lovely that your brother is having a baby around the same time as you - do you live quite close to each other? My husband is very close in age to his only cousin and they have a close relationship which is lovely. My cousins are both a lot older than me so I always think it's nice to have some closer in age.
LP - what lovely news about your friend! How far behind you is she? Also sounds like you had a good weekend and made the most of the sunshine!
AFM - anomaly scan today, I'm starting to feel the fear! It's at 10.45 though so not too long to wait. I've taken the whole morning off work, just hoping they are on time as I have students to teach at 1pm - at my 8 week dating scan I had a 2.50pm appointment and didn't escape until gone 5pm! No particular issues to hold things up, they were just badly organised. Fingers crossed with a morning appointment they won't be running so far behind.
I'm going to be putting my foot down about being weighed (if they try and weigh me) which will probably upset them, but never mind! Also not happy about having the GTT purely based on my weight, if baby is measuring fine and there's not sugars in my urine. I'll happily have extra wee tests and scans as much as they like, but I'm reluctant to do the GTT.
Speaking of weight I'm back to SW tonight - now I'm only being sick every few days and can just about face cooking, there's no excuse. I've put on 11lbs so far in the pregnancy but would now like to maintain that for a few weeks and avoid putting on more until baby really starts putting weight on, and it may become unavoidable!

Mrs50s...yes, we live about ten minutes away. It is exciting but we have completely different parenting styles which will clash, things like breastfeeding, weaning etc. Should be interesting ;)
BG, very excited! She will be called Annabelle which is gorgeous imo :)

LP, sounds like a busy weekend! Lovely news about your friend!
Mrs50s, good luck for your scan. Hope they are more organised! X
LP - ah, I know how you feel, mine is at the end of the year but this year and next there are lots of 30ths!
Mrs 50's - best of luck this morning, hope they're running on time. Do you have an appt with mw or consultant today too? My anomaly scan was just that, didn't check my BP or test urine etc, so I think it's unlikely they'll weigh you.
The work lottery syndicate I run also won £10 this week, first time in months it's won anything and that's with 11 lines a week!

Bg sounds like you had a busy but fun weekend. Cramp is rubbish though, boo! Take advantage of nap time this afternoon.
Chimp - ah a niece how lovely. When is your scan?
LP - I have loads of 30ths this year as well and it's sods law to not be able to have a couple of glasses of wine to celebrate. It's my H's 30th this week and it will be a dry one :( So nice that your best friend is expecting and can enjoy some of your ML together.
Mrs 50s - good luck for your scan, hope they don't delay you too much. Let us know how you get on :) Are you finding out the sex?
AFM - H FINALLY felt the baby move yesterday! Baby was having a proper disco yesterday morning and we could see all these ripples across my tummy from the outside. It helped H realise what he was trying to feel for IYSWIM. It was really cool but also a little bit freaky and sci-fi! Cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday and ended the day in the bath at 8pm and bed not long after hehe.

How lovely Popcorn! I'm getting kicks but nothing OH can feel yet.
My scan is the 8th July, taking B this time too.

BG- Sounds like you had a successful weekend! Have a lovely day today and definitely take advantage of the afternoon nap.
Chimp- Glad the nausea has gone and the cramping subsided quickly, take it easy lady! Lovely news about your brother. Hoe lovely to have 2 babies so close to each other!
LP- Glad you had a good weekend and great news about your friend. My 2 best friends will both be going back to work shortly after I start maternity which is a bit rubbish! Would have been lovely for us all to have been off together and will be great for you!
Mrs 50s- Good look at your scan! I'm sure everything will be fine and looking forward to pictures if you are able to flash! I was at my dating scan for hours too. I only thought I would be out of the office for an hour but was gone for about 3! I have put about 9/10lbs on too (going to weigh myself shortly actually!) and don't have a clue whether that is too much as it is first pregnancy! I was hungry all the time at the beginning but the last week or so it has calmed down quite a bit. Just need to make sensible choices so that it doesn't go too mental!
AFM- Had a lovely pub meal on Friday and then to meet H's friends. Didn't stay long as they had been drinking all day and drunk people when you are sober is never good! Park and family visits on Saturday and then I went to see my friend and her little boy yesterday which was lovely. Gave me a few bits for baby which was lovely.
03/06/2013 at 09:16
Popcorn- missed you there! My H is desperate to feel baby move too! Keep telling him it isn't going to be for a few weeks at least yet but doesn't stop him trying. I'm still not feeling too much movement myself so I am definitely looking forward to Wednesday to know everything is okay! I know that I'm probably just on the go too much to notice it and not really concentrating on baby in there but wish I was feeling more just to ease my mind.

BG - soundsl ike a nice weekend :)
Chimpanzee - take it easty :)

Samj - sounds lovely weekend :)
AFM - saturday morning i spent with my mum and did some pottering about in town which was nice. im very needy of my mum at the moment which is a bit weird. then i did a food shop and got home to the best news ever....the lodger had moved out while i was gone! YES!!!!!!!!!!! withing an hour and a half.....the room was stripped, everything out, carpet up, skirting off, done. (it was vile and not an experience i ever want again!). saturday night i was over at a friends for tea and then yesterday project nursery started in earnest. walls filled, sanded & two coats of white paint. needs a bit more filling & sanding tonight but least we've got started AND the hideous smell has gone :D
i guess i should be moving on to 3rd tri really.... so good luck everyone & i'll see in 3rd tri soon :)
03/06/2013 at 09:28
Twink - sounds like a productive weekend! I thought 3rd tri was from 27 weeks?
03/06/2013 at 09:56
why the name problems?!? THIS is what you should definitely call her
ooooh now I'm *really* looking forward to doing your BA!
03/06/2013 at 10:00
Oh, meant to ask too. Has anyone else been sneezing LOTS? I'm sneezing every day and it isn't allergy/ hayfever related as it has happened no matter what the pollen count is and I have never suffered badly with hayfever. Just wondered if it was another weird and wonderful pregnancy sympton? haha
03/06/2013 at 10:09
Sam - I've only just started noticing the baby moving when I'm busy, before it's only been when I'm sitting quietly so I guess if you're a busy bee then you might not bee feeling it as much. It's nice for the blokes to feel it eventually though, think it makes it more real. I haven't been sneezing a lot but I do have more of a blocked nose than usual, I think it's quiet common for your nose to be more blocked in pregnancy, maybe that's what's causing you to sneeze?
twink - noooooooo don't leave us yet! Every time someone else leaves for 3rd tri I get a little bit more scared that one day I'll have to go there! Glad your lodger situation was sorted, you didn't waste any time :) Must be so nice to be getting on with everything.
03/06/2013 at 10:16
Haha, that was Alex's suggestion, although he then proceeded to sing Bob the builder, but the nickname has stuck!
You really think there's going to be a name announcement at the same time as my BA? I'm not so sure!
03/06/2013 at 11:03
Chimpanzee - Annabelle is the perfect name as this is what I will be using if beany is a girl! :-) less than 2 weeks until we find out! Eeeeek!
