Morning all, cooler here again today - hurrah!
I am seriously feeling the effects of my over-active weekend. I'm such a dunce sometimes! Lower back still hurts and both hips are agony. I have the physio this morning (following on from the car crash 3 weeks ago) and I know it's going to hurt!!
Still, on the bright side, only 8 days of work left (including today) until I'm on annual leave, then just 18 days of work between annual leave and maternity leave! Even better, out of those 26 days, only 16 are with students (ie on my feet all day teaching) - the rest are paperwork / office days so at least I can sit / move / wee / eat at any time I like!
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning lovey, you sound very sore! Awesome news you don't have long at work! I'm in this week and next then off for 2 weeks, can't wait!
AFM feel so much better after seeing the baby on sat. I'm making a huge effort to try and eat healthier so got all good food with me for lunch. Mrs 50s not sure if it was you that mentioned sciatica the other day? In sat I had a terrible pain in my lower back like a trapped nerve, I could hardly move and walking was brutal! I also had bad pain in my left knee and the sole of my left foot, does this sound like it? If not no idea what's going on. I got the pain in my lower back again last night on my way to bed and got stuck on the stairs for about 5 mins before I could manage the rest of them. I've also had sort of pins and needles/a tingly feeling in the top of my right leg for a couple of weeks now. Not sure if this is all 'normal'?

Mrs 50s - Sounds like a painful time for you :-(
Miss Deedee - Can't help you sorry as I have been really lucky with aches and pains. Sounds like nerves though. Have you told your midwife?
I have 25 week app tomorrow. Need to speak to the midwife. When I sit on my left sort of half lay half sat I can feel my heart working harder, like the baby is trapping something. Really freaky! Also sisters wedding on Sat went perfectly! Here is a pic of me in the dreaded dress. At least it fit! And I liked my hair!

Mrs50s- Make sure you take it as easy as possible today! I know it is easier said than done. I can't believe you only had 26 working days left, amazing!
MissDD- Haven't been on over the weekend but glad everything went well at your scan! It does ease your mind so much seeing little one :) Don't know anything about sciatica but I hope that it goes away soon as it really doesn't sound like much fun!
AFM- Friday, went to the park in the afternoon and generally just had a lazy afternoon/ evening. Saturday- decided to make the most of the weather and took the dog for a 2 hour walk in the woods. Definitely feeling more pregnant now and was lagging behind! The plan was to take it easy yesterday but was out for about an hour and a half with the dog in the afternoon. I was wearing flip flops, my feet were hurting and I wasn't a happy chappy! haha. Had a lovely BBQ at the MIL's though to make up for it :)

LP- You look lovely in that photo! I'm still a little disappointed that the dress wasn't a huge frilly monstrosity! haha Strange about feeling like the baby is trapping something.
Meant to ask- I have been feeling baby move still but her kicks don't seem as strong the past few days. Obviously, I turned to trusty Google in the hope it would have some sensible answers instead of scaring me half to death and it said that baby has a growth spurt round about now so doesn't have as much room to move about therefore some kicks don't feel as sharp.
Anyone else feeling this?

Morning Mrs 50s. I'm loving the countdown to mat leave it keeps you going doesn't it? Glad it's cooler where you are, it's still very hot and sunny in Somerset 22.5 degrees at 8am this morning. Had enough now.
missdeedee I hope your back pain subsides it sounds nasty x
LP I hope your MW has some answers to your question, that must be a strange sensation. I can't see your pic as I'm at work and it's filtered :-(
sam sounds like you had a lovely weekend. When I was pregnant with Isla I was out walking our dog right up til the day I went into labour (2+ miles) and I swear it was the keeping active that helped in a having a short, speedy labour. Keep doing it for as long as you are able.
AFM last day at work today for the summer yay! no work til Sep 2nd then I'm only back for around 21 working days then off on mat leave. Still really hot here. Feeling guilty as I had to get H to run around after Isla most of the weekend as it was just too much. In other news... my sis and her boyfriend got engaged and are planning the wedding for next spring/summer so that's something else to look forward to. Nice to see her settling down. All good with baby. x

Sam! Thanks, I still think it was rather pink! but at least it fitted in the end.
I have days of kicks and days of wriggles. She also seems quieter at weekends, and moves more when I am sat at my desk. It changes day by day really.

MrsB- Anything that might help with a short speedy labour! I will keep it going as otherwise I think I will be the size of a house... H and the dog might just need to learn to slow down a little. I'm usually the one powering ahead haha!

Hey ladies! Just sticking my head in to say hello! I've been keeping up with you all, but I'm not much up to posting myself. Very nervous about this week!
22/07/2013 at 12:47
Hi Imp, How are you feeling? xxx
22/07/2013 at 12:53
Thanks for asking LP. I'm feeling pretty terrified and sad about what might be. I'm trying as hard as I can to be positive but I just have a "feeling" it's not going to be good news. Hopefully by the end of this week we'll have some news, whatever that might be.
I think you looked lovely in your bm dress, nothing to worry about!
22/07/2013 at 12:58
Imp- I have been thinking about you lots and still have everything crossed for a positive outcome. Try to keep as busy as possible this week as I know nothing is going to take the worry out of your mind but it will help reduce it as much as possible. Take care of yourself xx

Hello all. I am fed up of not being able to log on here - is anyone else having problems? I type in my details but it just takes me back to the home page with the "sign in" button at the top rather than acknowledging that I have logged in. Anyway, I pop in to read but can't always post.
Mrs50s - hope all goes well at the physio, at least they will sort you out! It is hard not to keep going at normal pace, isn't it?
MDD - glad you got to see your wee one! The pain doesn't sound like much fun at all though :(
LP - gorgeous photo! I replied on your other thread about the trapped feeling.
Sam - less movements could be due to less space for baby, or just that baby has moved to a different bit or is facing the other way - it could easily be kicking the placenta in which case you won't feel it as strongly.
MrsB - enjoy the last day at work! Such a good feeling!]
Imp - I have been thinking about you, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. The waiting must be so hard.
AFM - the school holidays (my practice maternity leave!) have started so all is well with the world! I've been to the docs this morning as the pores on one of my boobs were enlarged and itchy so wanted to check that this was definitely a weird preggo thing rather than something more worrying. Well yes it is a weird preggo thing so I can stop stressing now. For the rest of the day I am typing up some notes on a work project before it all goes out of my head, packing for my trip to my parents' tomorrow, going to my birth yoga class later (it's partner's night so H is coming too) and then meeting some friends for drinks. Making the most of the time off!

Hi ladies, have managed to completely freeze up my laptop by accidently clicking "open all bookmarks". Stupid I know but I was panicked trying to logout of internet banking before my LO transfered all my money to Nigeria or something. Urg, so on my phone. Just realised its only 2weeks until scan. Woop! Kicks getting more noticeable now too. Yaay.
I may attempt personals in a bit if I can kick start laptop into life!

Just a quick one from me as my phone isn't playing ball tonight! I'm still struggling to breathe so school was very calm today. Last day tomorrow and it's my scan in the morning so :) I'm so tried as lack of breathing is keeping me awake.

Hi Ladies, just a quick Hello from me, another busy week ahead (with 20 week scan on Thurs)
Tina, that is what always happens to me when i try to log on from my phone! such a pain!!

22/07/2013 at 21:04
