Morning all, hope everyone is well today.
Still feeling icky here with a cold which is giving me a headache, and feeling annoyed at work too as I've been asked to cover in two other classes today and tomorrow which means my small intervention group that normally runs won't happen this week - this always happens and it makes me sad for the kids in my group. Too much to do and too little time - same old story!
All well with baby, still very active and getting bigger by the day.

Morning M, that's a shame about your group. Hope the sunnier weather helps clear your cold.
AFM - not much planned today, but I need to sort an outfit for a work do on Thursday night. Dress code lounge suits, don't really know what that means for the girls though? Might take A to the local zoo, our annual membership runs out next month so want to make the most of it!
Baby wise, starting to feel a few more from the outside, it'll be a while before H does though as he doesn't have much patience for it.
Scan in 4 days, eek!
22/04/2013 at 08:14
Margot - hope you feel better soon
BG - i love the zoo....cani come :)
AFM - i felt something on saturday night. a definate something :) i was very excited.

Room for one more? I've been hanging about the 1st tri too long now so thought I should make a move over here.
Margot- hope you feel better soon
BG- a trip to the zoo sounds great. We don't have one close but hopefully in the summer we will go to one as W is obsessed with all animals at the moment
Twink- very exciting to be feeling movements. It's my favourite thing about pregnancy
AFM. W has her first day at nursery today. I'm a SAHM so she hasn't been until now but we wanted her to go one day a week to help her social skills etc. I am a very nervous mummy today! Not much happening on the baby front, still got a while until my scan.
22/04/2013 at 08:38
Margot - boo to work! I'm counting the weeks, 10 to go!
BG - I would say lounge suits would be a smart/casual dress for ladies, so not full on cocktail but not sundress either! Not sure if that helps?!
Twink - yay for movements, have you blubbed yet???!!
JT - welcome to second tri. Hope LO's first day at nursery goes well.
AFM - finally got the nursery completely finished this weekend, so here it is, sorry if they are huge or youve already seen them on FB. All done by my H, I just made up the cot to look pretty!
22/04/2013 at 08:46
Morning Margot, sorry you’re feeling icky at the moment. Get well soon!
BG, zoo day sounds like fun! I’ve no idea what lounge suits means either! I’d probably opt for a safe black dress with dressy jewellery and heels (if you can muster that!)
Twink, so glad you’ve felt twinklet!
JT, welcome to 2nd tri! Hope W has a fun day!
PC, your nursery is gorgeous!!
AFM – haven’t made it on for a few days sorry. Was away this weekend visiting a friend and also had the sad news that my grandma has passed away. She lived abroad and I have decided not to go to the funeral which is quite sad for me. I’ll be 28 weeks and I’m far too nervous both with flying anyway and the pregnancy, and have a history of bleeding with both so I don’t want to risk anything. Babywise, all is fine. He’s been very active! Have got quite a dark linea nigra line on my belly now. Anyone else have this yet?
22/04/2013 at 09:08
PW - I have the line! It's not too dark though, depends on the light how obvious it is!
22/04/2013 at 09:27
I think this will be my last post in here as I'm 28 weeks on Wednesday so I'll be moving over to 3rd tri now. See you all in there soon!
Margot - Hope you feel better soon!
BG - I can't help with the lounge suit thing as I have no clue. Is there anyone going that you could ask what they're wearing? Enjoy the zoo and good luck for the scan!
Twink - Yay for feeling something!
JT - Welcome! Hope your little girls gets on ok at nursery, I bet she'll love it!
PC - The nursery looks fab! well done you!
PW - Sorry to hear about your grandma! I don't have a line yet
AFM - Not much baby wise, getting some pretty strong kicks now. Got my 28 week apt with the MW on Wednesday for the last (hopefully) bloods and whooping cough jab. I also need to try and get a letter to travel as I have 2 trips to France planned with work when I'll be 32 and 34 weeks. Went for a run yesterday, first time for a few months so only did a mile and a half, was lovely to get out and no where near as bad as I thought it would be so going to try and get out a bit more before I'm too big. Aquanatal tonight too!
Hope the rest of 2nd tri goes well for you all and I'll see you all over in 3rd tri soon!
22/04/2013 at 09:31
Sorry for not getting on at the weekend, had a busy one.
Margot - sorry that you are struggling with your cold, that's a shame about your group as well. Get well soon x
BG - no idea what is meant by lounge suit but echo what the others said - smart dress, maybe some nice jewellery and I'm sure you won't go far wrong. Have fun at the zoo.
twink - yay, movement! that is so exciting, I can't wait til I can feel things.
JT - welcome! What have you got planned for your day while your LO is at nursery? Hope it goes ok x
PC - your nursery looks lovely! Well done to your H. Where did you get the boxes with the animals on from? They are great :)
PW - I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma xxx
AFM - mixed weekend, which was very busy. Evening in London seeing James @ Brixton Academy was brilliant and then an afternoon traipsing round John Lewis trying out the Bugaboo Chameleon with my Mum was a lot of fun. Then had dinner with ILs last night who were (although very lovely) annoyed the pants off me by continuously asking us "have you thought about...yet" about pretty much everything from holidays with LO, to cloth nappies, to where the baby will sleep during the day and then proceeded to question all official guidelines about how long they should be in the car seat for and whether the baby really needed to sleep in our room for 6 months ("we never did any of that blah blah") which ended my weekend on a bad note and made me go to bed in a right grump!! Argh, sorry, that was a bit ranty! Heard the baby's heartbeat loud and clear at my MW app on Fri afternoon which was lovely :)
22/04/2013 at 09:32
Oh my long rant meant that I was typing when you posted TT!
Well done for the run, I have been trying to go out as well especially as the weather is so lovely. Good luck on 3rd tri, see you soon x
22/04/2013 at 09:54
Pork chop I love the nursery it's gorgeous! Where are the boxes from they're fab.
PW- sorry to hear about your grandma, is there anyone you know going who could take some flowers for you perhaps? As for the line, I never got one until I was in
TT enjoy aquanatal and your run
Popcorn- i bet James were great! Shame about the rubbish ending to the weekend though. IL's can be so annoying
H has rang me to say when he dropped W off she wouldn't let go of his leg and was crying her eyes out when he left :( I've got a busy day of cleaning planned so hopefully that will take my mind off worrying about her
22/04/2013 at 10:05
Margot hope your cold buggers off soon!
BG have fun at the zoo...4 days eek!
Twink yay to feeling twinklet!

PW I haven't got the line yet but my belly button has stretched! I can understand you not wanting to fly
Twinkle wow to th running, I'm only managing swimming and longish walks now....my body is starting to notice it now too!
Pop oh pil don't you just love them! What did you think of the bugaboo? We nearly went for one but bought an icandy.
AFM had a lovely wedding anniversary weekend...eventually. H has been feeling baby alot this weekend. Back to work tonight, four night shifts this week....a joke!
22/04/2013 at 10:16
Margot-hope your cold clears soon, I hope work isn't too bad
BG-I would take that as a smart dress? Only 4 days to go not long now
Twink- its lovely when you feel them isn't it
Jellytot- im sure W Will love it at nursery
PC- nursery is looking gorgeous, where is the bedding from its lovely
PW-sorry to hear about your nan. I don't have a line yet but am a few weeks behind you
Twinkletoes- well done on the run I gave up at 17 weeks and really miss it
Popcorn- sounds like a nice weekend other than the inlaws! What did you think about the bugaboo, its one of my choices
AFM- 21+5 now baby has been a bit quieter today, did anyone find this as well, still getting kicks but not as many as a few days last week?
22/04/2013 at 10:17
Missed you duckford, glad you had a nice weekend, boo to nights though
22/04/2013 at 10:55
JT - oh bless your LO, I'm sure she will be fine :)
Duckford - where did you go for your anniversary weekend, it was a surprise wasn't it?
Noodle - can't help with any advice on the kicks I'm afraid as yet to feel any yet, is it to do with the position that the baby's in? I'm so clueless, sorry!
Well I'm pretty much sold on the Bugaboo, unfortunately for our bank balance! It's just so comfortable to push around and I could collapse it and take the cot off so easily. The only niggle I have is that when it's collapsed, there's no clip to hold it together so I can see it sliding open again when it's down and resting against a wall somewhere. Leaving it up isn't really an option for us as we have a narrow hall and porch. We aren't making a decision any time soon (officially) so it will be a while before we order anything yet.
22/04/2013 at 11:28
Good morning all!
Margot – Sorry about your wee group. And hope you are feeling better soon!
BG – not long til scan, eek! Enjoy the zoo if you do decide to go, sounds fun!
Twink – Eek to starting to feel movements!
JT – good idea getting her into nursery – although no doubt you will be lost without her! Hope she enjoys it – just seen your update. I’m sure she will be fine once she gets settled in!
Porkchop – Nursery is looking fab!!!
PW – sorry to hear about your gran, but sounds like you have made the best decision for you and baby re the funeral.
TT – making the most of the nice weather with a run, good for you, I am still far too lazy for that! Enjoy aquanatal tonight x
PC – my in-laws are doing the same so I feel your pain! Exciting about hearing heartbeat, hoping I get to hear ours at next appointment!
Duckford – Glad you had a nice weekend. Boo to the nightshifts though :(
Noodle – Im not at feeling stage yet so can’t help, but sure bubs is just having a lazy day x
AFM – Nothing much to report. Had a busy weekend. H’s birthday dinner with all the family round on Friday, Saturday spent shopping with my sister and then out to a friends engagement party. I lasted til 12.40am, was so impressed!! Then went shopping for car seat yesterday, which I didn’t get as the colour of pram system we ordered has now been discontinued, gutted!
Feeling a wee bit yucky today but seeing a definite improvement from a few weeks ago! Hopefully the sickness and exhaustion is on the way out!
14+2 today, patiently awaiting 16 week appointment in a fortnight!
22/04/2013 at 11:37
Hi Mrs Mack,
Just noticed we are only two days apart! I'm 14+4, due 17th October
22/04/2013 at 11:50
Yeah noticed that JT. Also, seen your bump flash and thought hmmm, where is my bump?! Then noticed it is your second bubba. Bump always pops out quicker with the second right?!! You're looking amazing, can't wait for mines to pop! Jealous!
22/04/2013 at 11:57
Porkchop, I can't believe your nursery is all finished. I am now even more worried that ours is still a dumping ground. Decorator is coming while we are on holiday so when we get back will be able to get it sorted, although I think we need to prioritise Zoe's room first.
Jellytot, she will love nursery, just give her time. zoe has been going to the nursery class at school since september, she absolutely loves it and when the days she isn't there asks to go ... and yet she still clings to my leg when I drop her off.
As for me, well today H has gone back to London so I am parenting again. After 5 days in hospital and 5 days on bedrest at home I am a bit scared. Managed to do the school run ok, although was very breathless when I got back so am spending the rest of the day in bed ready for collecting her at 3.15. The afternoon / evening could be very long though.
22/04/2013 at 13:02
Popcorn- sounds like its a contender for you then
Mrs mack- sounds like a nice weekend, what colour was discontinued? Im sure he is just having a quiet day too
Jellybaby- sorry your still feeling rough, make sure you rest between school runs. Take it easy
