Sorry I didn't get on over the weekend, we had a busy one...sadly it didn't include giving birth though! 4 nights of pains that have led nowhere now...couldn't be more different to last time to round!
Hope everyone is ok x

Morning coco fingers crossed this week if your week! We're you early last time around?
AFM I'm so tired today I think the weekend of baby shopping and decorating yesterday has caught up with me. Now a full week of work, hopefully I can get an early night tonight.

I didn't make it back on over the weekend but I'll have a read of the thread later to catch up.
Coco - I hope the pains at night soon lead somewhere. I've got a feeling things this time are going to be a bit different for me as well!
MrsL - did you buy anything nice yesterday? Hope work goes smoothly.
AFM, well we cleared the spare room yesterday. It's still rather bare as we're not planing to do much in there until baby is ready to go in there next year. We do however need to order a wardrobe and get the chest of drawers already in there reconditioned. The plan before baby arrives was to get our ensuite and bedroom done but as it turns out the ensuite hasn't even been started yet do we'd decided to wait until new year for out bedroom. H has now decided to get our wardrobes done now though so we need to arrange for someone to come out and measure up, I feel like I'm under a bit of time pressure now though!
Today we're meeting friends at the park before the rain sets in.

Coco - I hope you're not waiting for too much longer!
MrsL - I hope work isn't too bad. how did the decorating go?
Afm - I'm another one struggling with tiredness. Work is full on, last day off was Tuesday. Not entirely sure when my next one is... The joys of being management! Ugh. Antenatal class tonight, after last week where I was terrified, I am looking forward to tonight!
11/08/2014 at 08:22
MrsL - sounds like a v productive day yesterday, what did you buy? I was a week early with O so bizarrely feel "overdue" already!!
WG - well done on clearing the room. We're saving decorating ours up until later this time too. Hope you have fun at the park.
Boo - Hope you get a day to rest up soon. Enjoy antenatal tonight...hope you've a good bunch x

Coco I hope that the pains lead to something or stop until they do!
Mrs l I hope work is easy today for you and you get your early night.
WG sounds like you were very busy! Well done on clearing the room. Enjoy the park.
Boo that is a long working week! Hope you get a day off soon. Is this your 2nd antenatal class now?
Well we ended up in triage for the first time last night. Baby is normally really active at night and as I go to sleep h normally has a little play with baby and they tend to respond. They didn't last night and after trying different positions and a glass of cold milk with nothing we rang and went in for checking. Got there around midnight and left around 1:45am, getting home just gone 2. Baby was very quiet for the first half-hour and we thought we might have been in for a while but then they got hiccups after I had a cold drink and woke up! Cheeky monkey! Got midwife this morning so had to get up anyway so hoping to nap later.

Coco - sorry the pains haven't turned into anything! Hopefully it won't be long now!
MrsL - take it easy today if you can! How's the nursery looking?
WG - seems like you made progress this weekend! And it sounds like you have lots planned over the next year!
Boo - enjoy your antenatal class!
Bunny - sorry you ended up in triage but glad everything was ok in the end. They are keeping you on your toes!
AFM - another one that is exhausted today! I went back to bed for an hour after H went to work which I haven't done since I was made redundant! Had a lovely weekend - went to the coast on Saturday with the family which was lovely then set up the crib yesterday and a new side table which we got to fit inbetween the crib and the bed for the monitor etc to go on as my bedside table was too big. Also got a new microwave as ours we'd had 10 years, cost us £25 and wasn't very hygienic inside! Thought it was about time we replaced it if we're going to be sterilising stuff in there! Also got lots of cards in for events coming up over the next couple of months so I don't need to worry about getting them when baby comes! Meeting up with the NCT girls today for lunch which should be nice! X

Coco - Hope you're not waiting around too much longer, especially if the pains come and go.
Mrs - You deffo need to get early night and rest, hope you manage it.
WG - Things sound like they are coming together, hurrah for nesting!
Boo - We thought the same about antenatal, petrified but actually by the next session we felt much better knowing the information than not.
So, I'm officially 37 weeks and feel as if things have changed!! Midwife tomorrow so I'm sure she'll tell me all, but bump has deffo changed, hopefully not TMI but my lady parts ache and I spend more time walking to the toilet than much else. We are ready for baby to be fair and I'd like to get the labour out the way, but I keep telling myself it's highly likely i'll be past due date.
I'm going to take it easy this week because on Saturday my lovely husband is taking me away for the night, for our 1st wedding anniversary (only 2 hrs away) so I need to store some energy for a potter round then, bit nervous as i'll be just about 38 weeks!
11/08/2014 at 10:59
WG - we brought a changing unit, a blanket, i got some maternity bras (after 28 weeks i had to give in!) and some bits for hosp bag. sounds like you made good progress with the room!
Boo - decorating went well, I have ordered the wall transfers too now, i keep going in the room and looking at it :) Enjoy ante-natal, how many sessions do u have?
Coco - im keeping my fingers firmly crossed this is your week!
Bunny - cheeky baby! glad everything was ok x
Browny - nursery is looking good, made me realise we still need to do more de-cluttering and still need to order the cot, a new blind and lampshade. Enjoy lunch!
Alipops - Its our 2nd wedding anniversary on Monday next week, we have a long weekend planned, just hope i have the energy for it!
11/08/2014 at 13:26
WG - Sounds like a productive weekend. Enjoy the park! I hope the rain holds off.
bunny - Glad that all was ok!! I hope the MW appt went well too.
browny - Sounds like you've had a lovely weekend Enjoy lunch!
Alipops - A weekend away sounds lovely! A great way for you and H to have some time to yourselves before baby arrives :)
Tonight will be my 2nd antenatal class, I have 13 all together. The couples in our group are lovely too!
11/08/2014 at 13:29
MrsL I would want to keep looking at the nursery too. I am keen to get started on ours! Although it will remain Hs office for a while, I still want to get drawers etc to put squidges stuff into. I am so disorganised it's untrue!!
11/08/2014 at 14:19
Browny sounds like a lovely but busy weekend you had! Hope you have had a nice lunch.
Alipops happy full term day! An easy week sounds lovely.
Mrs l you will have to flash the nursery when its done.
Boo that's great that the other couples are nice.
Well midwife was fine except baby is now breech!they were head down 3 weeks ago. I know there's plenty of time for them to move, I'm just going to have to think about how I'm sitting etc to help encourage them.
11/08/2014 at 14:34
Boo - glad im not the only disorganised one, until this weekend i literally felt like i had nothing ready! do you have any ideas on what you're going to do to decorate it?
bunny - i will definately! plenty of time for baby to move i wouldnt worry!
11/08/2014 at 19:03
Boo - no wonder you're tired if your last day off was last Tuesday! When is your next day off? Enjoy antenatal class tonight.
Bunny - how frightening baby not moving last night, glad you went and got checked out though. Typical that baby was being a monkey. I remember F doing the same I went in for monitoring at around 30 weeks as I'd not felt movements but it turns out he was just being lazy!
Browny - sounds like you had a lovely but busy weekend. You're being very organised with the cards! I've been trying to do the same with Xmas and birthday presents.
Ali - I hope baby doesn't arrive before you get to enjoy your weekend away!
MrsL - blimey, you held out until 28 weeks for maternity bras! I managed 20 weeks this time but only 12 with my first. I bet you're so much more comfy now.
Well, we had a lovely morning at the park before the rain set in. F is now in bed and H is out so I'm going to run a bath shortly. Feeling quite overwhelmed with my 'to do' list at the moment but must remember to take one thing at a time. MW appointment tomorrow and I'm keen to know baby's position, just out of interest at the moment more than anything.
11/08/2014 at 19:22
Mrs L - All I know is that I want bright colours. As they'll be with us for sleeping, it doesn't need to be fully kitted out but we want somewhere to go for feeding and changing etc. I like the idea of wall stickers but not really sure on what "theme" I'm after. I say I as h has left it for me to decide! With the nursery excluded we're still no where near ready. I have buried my head in the sand for too long - which is very unlike me!
Do you have a theme for yours? Where did you get your wall stickers from?
WG - My next day off is Saturday. They are trying to get cover for Friday so I can have another day off. I do have a half day Wed and Thurs as I have hosp appt and GP appt. I will get a lie in on Wed at least xx
12/08/2014 at 06:41
Boo we got our stickers from not onthehighstreet.com they're got air balloons in bright colours. They should arrive this week so you'll let you know what they're like. We painted the room a very pale blue. X
