how was everyone's weekend? Good I hope.
I'm off today and managed to sleep in until just now! Yay ! Off yo the docs this morning to get a script for some ranitidine, then i'm going swimming. Not much else planned other than watching some 24 !

Hiya Imp, sorry I read your reply on the weekend thread and never got around to responding. The girls in my NCT group seem nice, but we're furthest from everyone. It's alright, though, I'll still see them, and hopefully make new friends in baby classes. Your day sounds great to me, hope the ranitidine helps!
AFM, worst nights sleep in ages. Awake with heartburn and nausea half the night, not even pelvic pain! Just feeling gross. And didn't manage to sleep late, either :(. So today I'm just going to maybe do some laundry, but otherwise lounge around and watch tv. Maybe I'll steal your idea and watch some 24! In baby news, we have ordered the bednest! It won't be delivered until a week after the EDD, but I'd rather have baby spend a week or two in the carrycot in the beginning rather than a week or two more in the cot when it goes back after 14 weeks! We'd have done the 6 month rental had we tight of it 8 weeks in advance, though!
Morning Imp! Can I come in?? I think I count as 3rd tri now, which I can hardly believe. Maybe this time I really will be a Mum :-)
Sounds like you have a lovely day ahead, have fun!
I had a great weekend thanks. Hubby was at the rugby on Friday night and came home late but happy since his team won. He's now got a ticket for the finals at Twickenham so is in a great mood. Saturday we went to the baby show and got pretty much all of the last things we need. Just a few more bits to get, but no rush. And yesterday had a lovely sunny day rock climbing in the Peak District, laughing at bump getting in the way but managing just about. I'm also off today, have consultant appt this morning, which is my first since transferring hospitals, so a bit nervous, but fingers crossed it will go OK and they'll get my 28 week scan done. Should probably get my bloods done too, which is at the midwife unit 15 miles in the other direction, but will get my backside into gear!
Have a lovely day xx

Ooh hi Wispa, missed you there. I like the bednests too, although we've gone for a Chicco bedside crib. Hope you have a nice lazy sunny day too x

Going to dive in early today, have been reading the threads the past few days but seem to forget to actually contribute!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend, nice to see some new faces on 3rd tri - hopefully it will get a little busier and then the birth announcements will start!
Imp - Hope the Ranitidine helps and you enjoy your swim :)
Wispa - Sorry to hear you had a bad nights sleep - I'm finding the further on I get the worse sleep seems to be!
Barefoot - Welcome to 3rd tri :) Sounds like you had a busy weekend and have a busy day planned!
AFM - I had a lovely weekend, we had a long NCT class on Saturday morning, last one tomorrow night! Definitely think I will meet up with at least a few of the ladies afterwards which is nice. Saturday afternoon we put together babies cot bed and did most of the finishing touches to the nursery - will post some pictures late :)
Sunday we made the most of the sunshine and spent most of the day pottering around in the garden, at the garden centre and walked the dog to our local pub for a drink. My feet are hurting a bit today so think I may have overdone it a little!
Sleep has become a little non existent now! Woke up at 3am needing the toilet, then thunderstorms started and neighbours dog was barking, so laid awake until nearly 5am trying to get to sleep! Needless to say when I work up at 7am I was pretty tired!
Pretty sure baby is still breech, have 36 week midwife appointment on Wednesday so hopefully they can tell me for sure. Fingers crossed baby moves before scan next week or I think we will be heading down the C-Section route :(

Imp - hope you have a nice relaxed day!
Wispa - Sorry you had a rubbish night - mine wasn't much better, too hot, leaky boobs, heartburn, husband leaving the tv on!!
Barefoot - Not spoken to you before! Welcome to third tri, I am a bit of a latecomer to MD!
Vix - Sounds like you had a nice weekend, apart from the lack of sleep!
AFM - "working from home" this morning, got 32 week growth scan this afternoon. I think baby is still breech but bump feels bigger so hopefully all is still well. Can't believe it's been a week already since I was in Spain, I want to go back, the heat isn't the same here! We have ordered a new sofa and new superking bed which are due to arrive next Tuesday... I'm not sure the mattress will get up the stairs though so need to ring them this morning!!
19/05/2014 at 09:31
Imp - enjoy your day off!
Wispa - sorry you had a bad nights sleep.Enjoy having a lazy day.
Barefoot - welcome to 3rd tri!
Vix - sounds like you had a lovely weekend, but boo to lack of sleep :(
Kapowski - a superking bed sounds amazing, fingers crossed you don't have any problems getting the mattress up the stairs!
AFM - I am officially a free woman! I'm now on annual leave before my maternity leave starts in a few weeks time. It seems very odd that I won't be going back until next march.Someone let slip that there is a surprise baby shower being planned for me, but I've no idea when that will be and other than that there's plenty to do around the house and garden!
Hi to those who follow!
19/05/2014 at 09:48
Just called the guy (proper Essex sounding salesman!) and he reckons it will be fine! Can't wait!
Yay for being a free woman! Can't wait for mine to start, so bored of work now!
19/05/2014 at 09:49
Oh Wispa, heartburn at night is that worst. I've been getting it quote badly too, plus acid , hence the appt today. I assume you've got all the meds for it at this stage? Glad you think you'll keep in touch with the NCT girls, also I'm sure you'll make loads of friends via baby groups. Yay for the bednrst, have you hired it via NCT?
BF hope the appt goes well.
Vix sorry you had a bad nights sleep too , they seem to be a curse of 3rd tri. Your weekend sounds lovely, my feet were swollen last night from the heat, were yours sore or swollen too? Fingers crossed for s baby that has turned!
Ixia yay for no more work! Have you any plans?? Is it your friends that are throwing you a baby shower? That's a lovely thing for them to do!
19/05/2014 at 09:50
Missed you kapowski, sorry ! Good luck this afternoon , I hope baby is the right way and the right size. Glad the mattress will got too.
19/05/2014 at 10:11
Haha! It's ok! Thanks :) currently online shopping for new duvet, pillows and bedding... although the room still needs skirting boards, wardrobe doors and carpets!
19/05/2014 at 10:44
Oooh I love new bedding! We've seen some from Habitat that we love but it's quite expensive so trying to find something similar but cheaper.
Imp - my work colleagues are organising it, which is so lovely of them. We've got lots of plans - we've lunch vouchers to use, places we want to go before I get too big and tired and a list of things to do around the house and garden. I'm no good at putting my feet up and relaxing!
19/05/2014 at 12:57
Ixia you may as we'll make the most if it and enjoy yourself!
K bedding shopping sounds fun! What did you choose?
19/05/2014 at 13:16
Nothing as yet, but seen some plain dye non iron sets in Dunelm that look good value.
19/05/2014 at 13:24
Welcome to 3rd tri, Bf!
Vix, can't wait to see photos of the nursery! Sorry to hear about the sleepless nights, and I really hope baby turns (or has already sneakily turned!)
Ooh, Kapowski, a super king! It's something I dream of, though I doubt it would fit in our room :)
Ixia, freedom! Woohoo! And very exciting you're getting a surprise baby shower. You're going to be overthinking every plan anyone wants to make with you from now on, it could be them taking you to your shower!
Imp, yep, we hired from NCT. It's really not expensive if you think about it, and hassle free as we won't need to deal with storing or selling something when we're done with it.
I've discovered that it's half price frappuccinos at sbux between 3-5pm so I might end up finding myself shopping this afternoon as an excuse to get one, haha. But it's every day until the 25th, so if I don't make it out today I'm sure I'll have another chance!
19/05/2014 at 13:46
Half price is a bargain, it's worth going shopping just for that!
19/05/2014 at 14:02
Kapowski - Hope the growth scan goes well and baby has turned! I have bought bedding from Dunelm before and it has been good quality for the price.
Ixia - Hope you are having a good start to your leave! Surprise baby shower sounds lovely. I know I am having one next Sunday, but don't know anything more than that!
Imp - think my feet are a little swollen, but mainly just sore from probably a little too much walking!
Wispa - will take some piccies of the nursery and post them this evening :) Is exciting seeing it all come together! I am really hoping that I am confusing babies head and its bum and it has actually turned! Hope you get your half price frapp!
19/05/2014 at 14:17
Ooh, a 2 page thread, it's been a while since we've been that busy!
Imp, hope the docs and swimming goes well, and you have a nice restful day.
Wispa, boo to the bad night's sleep, but yay to ordering the bednest. Is it the current series of 24 you're watching, or are you catching up on old ones? Hope you enjoy some sofa time.
Bf, welcome to third tri! Sounds like you're pretty organised, I'm only just sorting last bits now! Hope everything goes well at the consultant.
Vix, sounds like a nice weekend, I'll look forward to pics of the nursery. Hope you get a better night tonight, and come on baby, get turning please!
Kapowski, hope all is well at the scan, and baby isn't breech. New furniture and bedding sounds lovely, I'm also v jealous of the super king!
Ix, huzzah to being on leave, I hope you have a fab first day off.
It's H's first day of paternity today (he's a contractor so had to finish in time for the baby, couldn't just take leave as and when) so we're having a more productive day than I have been when off alone, I feel guilty not doing anything when he's doing stuff. We're trying to sort the study out, which is generally used as a bit of a crap-dumping space, and needs clearing to make room for some of J's toys and somewhere to put changing bits for Attila until we have J in his new room and the nursery is free for her. Unfortunately it's full of stuff that doesn't really have a home and it's so hard trying to sort that kind of stuff. Hopefully we'll get there soon with it. Babywise not much to report, lots of Brixton hicks going on but not a lot else. Hope everyone's enjoying the sunshine, I'm too hot but have combatted it with cunning use of a choc ice!
19/05/2014 at 16:39
SG - I desparately need to sort out all of our stuff. We still have boxes in the dining room that we haven't unpacked from when we moved in a year ago!!!
AFM - scan went well, baby is currently head down and likelihood of needed a c-sec (bicornate uterus) is looking low! Yay!

Hi all, just popping back with appointment update. All works very differently at the new hospital. Saw a midwife for a general check (not really necessary since saw my community one a couple of days ago) then in to see the doc. Consultant wasn't in. Doc looked at my notes and told me to book my 28 week scan for 29 weeks since they need more than a week notice. They did get my 28 week bloods done today though which saves a docs appt. No more decision will be made about if they will let me labour naturally until after the next scan, although they weren't completely against the idea. Only downside of the new hospital is that they have no private rooms where hubby can stay overnight with me, and getting a Postnatal side room to myself seems a bit of a lottery. IF I can escape the dreaded c section though, they may let me out on 6hr discharge which I'd love. Time will tell.
Kapowski, glad your scan went well and baby is in a good position :-)
