Morning all! Sorry I've been a bad MD'er while I've been on annual leave - back to work today so hopefully will pop on before / after work again! I really don't feel ready to go back - my sleep is terrible so I feel permanently exhausted but on the bright side it's only 4 more weeks (18 days what with the bank holiday plus 1 more day of A/L) and then I'm off for more annual leave running straight into M/L. Hurrah!
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Not long now Mrs 50s. Hope your pain is ok.
Afm - was having lots of weird low down pain and the most incredible back pain last night but it didn't come to anything. Due Date today. Got mw tomorrow and I so hope she keeps her promise to sweep me. Not alot planned today. Just some tidying up and keeping the toddler entertained. Nice and sunny so might go for a wee walk round the village.
hi to all that follow

50's - hope work isn't too tough after a little break.
AFM - I finally feel like I'm getting organised, spare bed went yesterday so now have room for some drawers to put baby Gump's clothes and bits into. Off to Kiddicare tomorrow to get all the other things I need, then I should be there and can sit back and enjoy.
Today we're off to Kent for a playdate, it's a bit of a trek but this friend always comes over to us, so only fair I make the effort once in a while.
19/08/2013 at 08:25
D - missed you there, sorry it wasn't the real deal, fingers crossed it's soon though.
19/08/2013 at 08:32
Mrs 50's, hope you had a nice time on your annual leave. I too am counting down the days until i finish-just ten days over the next 3 weeks.
Daisy sorry that things aren't happening for you yet. Keep busy and try not to dwell too much on being D-day.
BG, glad you are feeling more organised and hope you have a nice time with your friend. For some reason I thought you were in Kent.
AFM, just about to round the girls up so I can get off to work. It is A's birthday on Thursday so I need to pop to Toysrus at lunchtime to get a few bits for her. She has asked for a desk for her room which we picked up at the weekend so I want to get some bits to hide inside it.
Hello to all that follow,
Enjoy your playdate BG. Glad you feel organised x

Mrs50s - take it easy at work today.
Daisy - Happy due date! Hope things get going for you soon.
BG - Enjoy your play date,
AFM - Well, where to start? Last couple of days i've noticed that i've had "wet pants", not sure whether this is just extra discharge or amniotic fluid leaking, it has no smell and is very watery consistency and clear, just like ive wee'd my pants! Then yesterday, had the same thing but with a couple of small pieces of jelly stuff, with a yellow colour, just like EWCM but yellow, this did have a strong smell. Which has made me think that i'm loosing my plug! Also noticed last night that things look "different down there" as in the opening looks wider and a bit swollen. So wen't to bed last night, a little worried but knowing that i have a scan today and can ask my consultant when i see her then. Woke up at 3am with lower back ache, managed to get back to sleep after a couple of hours and have woken up with the same lower back ache. This all has me very worried. I'm going to ask my consultant about all of this at the scan at 3pm today. But my mum (a health visitor) has told me to ring midwife team this morning. Im only 29 weeks! So seems much too early to be losing my plug etc.
Sorry about that long post ladies, but i'll keep you all posted as to what happens today. Baby out vibes for those who need them!

Noggin - thats a lovely idea, to hide her presents inside the desk. Hope she has a good birthday. Make sure you have a look at the babies r us section, if they have one, they normally have some good deals on.
19/08/2013 at 08:41
Mrs 50's - hope the time at work goes quick
Daisy- hope you get your sweep tomorrow
BG- enjoy your play date
Nog - I love the idea of hiding presents in the desk
AFM - was my 30th on sat. Me and h had a lovely child free day. Went to the cinema and for a meal and was so nice to spend some time as a couple.
Then yesterday I sorted through all the boxes of W's old things from the attic and separated everything into ages so I could repack the older bits and keep out the newborn and 0-3 stuff. Also found all the other bits I need like baby carrier, bouncy chair etc. ordered Moses basket mattress.
Just need to wash everything, which I want to do now as there's so much it will take forever but its too early. Definately feeling better about being ready for baby now though.

MS fingers crossed things go well at the scan. I hope it's nothing to worry about- I have had the wet pants problem a fair bit lately, think its quite common, but best to get checked out.
19/08/2013 at 08:48
Mrs 50s - hope you had a nice time off
Daisy - sorry that it was a false alarm yesterday but hope it won't be too much longer for you
BG - have fun on your playdate
Noggin - hope you manage to find some bits to squirrel away in A's desk
MS - I would definitely give your MW a call. I've had a lot of discharge throughout my pregnancy so hopefully it's just an increase for you and not your waters/plug. Best to get it checked out though. Let us know how you get on xx
AFM - nice long weekend, got lots of bits for hospital bag yesterday including some enormous pants! Back at work today and really not in the mood. Had very bad pain in my kidney last night which had me worried I had an infection (have suffered with them for years so I always dread that horrible side ache) but this morning am fine, weird. Got our first NCT class tonight, exciting!

Noggin. What a great present and a lovely idea to hide more presents inside.
MS I'd definitely phone MW too it can't hurt can it? It does sound a bit like your plug but hoping it's not. Please keep us updated. Hope you're ok xx
JT happy belated 30th birthday glad you had some 'couple' time. Sounds like you're getting very organised. I need some of that motivation!
AFM. Not a great start to the new week our dog is poorly. Cue me on all fours scrubbing the floor at 6 this morning. Yuk! Isla's at nursery til lunchtime so I have a quiet morning prob should get on with some washing as weather is nice and we're off to Cornwall on holiday at the weekend. Isla is very excited about going on holibobs! All good with bump. x
ETA hi popcorn enjoy your NCT class, I haven't done them but a lot of my friends have and said they were useful and they made a lot of good friends through it too.

Morning ladies of 3rd tri!
Mrs 50s - Its the final countdown....... der der der der, der der der der der! (bad singing going on in my head)
Daisy - Sending you some baby out vibes xx
Bridget - Enjoy the play date
Noggin - What extra bits are you getting? Or are you just going to have a look when you get there?
Mummy S - Call the midwife, don't wait until 3pm. I am sure it is nothing to worry about but don't wait
JT - Glad you are feeling more organised. Wish I was!
I had high hopes that the nursery would be all finished this weekend. Might have been a little ambitious what with OH working most of saturday and lunch out yesterday. Still got furniture to put together. Think it might be next weekend instead. Then we still have a spare bed to sell and the spare room to sort out. I want my house back!
On a more positive not. Daddy Pixie popped round on Sat to do some little jobs that have been bugging me (coat rack up, light fittings replaced, hanging basket back up that fell down) Weird how little jobs make a big difference.
Also feeling better after being under the weather last week. And it's my last full week at work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Off next week than working 4 days a week until I finish! Whoop!!!!!!
19/08/2013 at 09:24
Mrs50s- 4 weeks really isn't long! Hope today goes quickly for you :)
Daisy- Hope you get your sweep tomorrow, or things kick off today and you don't make your appointment!
BG- Good to hear you are getting organised. I still feel like we have tonnes to do. Have a fun day on your play date today!
Noggin- How cute that she has asked for a desk. Hope you manage to find some nice bits in Toyrus (or as step daughter calls in Toys r rugs)
MS- Glad you have your scan and consultant appointment booked today anyway for reassurance. I would give your MW a ring this morning anyway just to see what they advise. I have definitely had a lot more wet stuff down there than usual! Fingers crossed it's nothing xx
JT- Glad you had a lovely 30th! Sounds like a nice relaxing day for you. Good to hear you are getting all the bits and pieces organised.
Popcorn- Really hope the pain is nothing. Can't believe everyone seems to have gotten lots organised this weekend and I feel like I still have loads to do! Big pants are still one of my 'to buy' items on the list.
MrsB- Oh no, hope your doggy gets better soon. At least you have a lovely holiday to look forward to come weekend! Isla will have a fab time.
LP- Any chance Daddy Pixie can pop round to my house to do some odd jobs!? We have another list (aside from the million baby lists..) going with all odd jobs on that we want to get done before baby is here. Because we only have SD at weekends it's so difficult to get anything done as I'm really not in the mood by the time I get home from work! Very jealous that you are on 4 days a week after you come back from your week away haha.
AFM- Had SD Friday and Saturday night. Sunday we went to a Christening which tired me out so much! There were lots of kids and babies and it completely dawned on me how difficult just going out is going to be. My friend was trying to keep an eye on her 16 month old running around whilst trying to see to her 5 month old, don't know how she copes! After the christening I went home for a nap haha.
19/08/2013 at 09:35
So called my midwife this morning, she told me to call the Pregnancy assesment unit at the hospital. Spoken to them and they have told me to go in at 1.30pm to get checked over and then have my scan at 3pm. Fingers crossed that its all okay.
19/08/2013 at 09:38
Glad you gave them a call and they are going to check you our MS. Let us know how you get on xx
19/08/2013 at 09:50
Glad you're going to get checked out. Let us know how you get on x

MrsB - ah not a great start to your day, ick. Your holiday sounds lovely, I love Cornwall.
LP - still sounds like you got plenty done this weekend, even if it's not all finished. Hurrah for last full week at work!
Sam - it will be hard work but worth it! I was the opposite on Friday, went out for lunch with a friend and her 6mo who was unbelievably well behaved. I left thinking "surely it can't be that easy?"
MS - glad they are able to check you out earlier, hope it all goes ok for you - come back later and let us know what they said xxx

Morning all, busy thread and am on my phone so can't make it through personals but happy due date Daisy!
We have had a very busy baby weekend - my parents brought our cot on Friday so nursery now has a cot and a chair in it and is starting to look good. On Saturday hubby and I picked up the pram and car seat and then went to a new baby parenting class at the hospital, which was pretty scary and yet reassuring at the same time as the midwife had one of those lovely calming midwife voices that makes you believe that everything will be fine even when it's 4am and you haven't slept for 6 days. After that we treated ourselves to a baby talk-free date night for a change, and went to the cinema then out for a meal, it was so nice to spend a but of time together not decorating or buying baby stuff!
