This is the month some of you will meet your babies, exciting times!
Didn't get on over the weekend, it was a busy one with my work party on Friday night - which was ok but really could have done with some alcohol! - a Christening (that was more like a wedding) on Saturday and fun in the sunny garden yesterday.
I'm on the train to work now, I don't normally work Mondays but have swapped my days around to be there today to welcome my replacement on her first day. I'm sweating like a pig, just ran for the train and it's so hot already, even the a/c on my train isn't helping me.
Little bob seems to be ok, my bump was rock solid this morning, I think she must have had her back pushing out.
Baby out vibes to MrsH if she still needs them.

Morning BG! I don't envy being on a sweaty train whilst upduffed or otherwise!
Early wake up here of just before 6am,but it looks sunny again so that makes it ok. Midwife appt this morning so will ask about whooping cough jab. Also going to have another blood test to check iron. Hopefully all is well with my bump. Had a quieter couple of evenings, although that's not to say its not active during the day, just not so violent at night.
7ish weeks to go and I'm starting to feel like I need to get a shift on organising stuff....

I just called my GP surgery to book my WC vaccine, but it seems every postcode has a different process when it comes to maternity services
Enjoy the sun!

BG - not so good that you're too hot but I'm jealous that you have nice weather. First day of the summer holidays here and it's been cold and raining for about a week now. Hope your replacement gets on ok!
IDC - hope mw goes well
Eek - I'm having a baby this month!!!! Had a busy ish weekend so was shattered by last night. Hoping my H steps up and does the housework etc today, also his turn to get up with the kids but he is currently lying beside me asleep. He'll be getting a kick soon to get up cos the kids want their breakfast. No plans today other than relaxing, hoping the weather dries up a bit! Oh I booked next years holiday over the weekend. Off with Keycamp as usual but to Holland this time as I didn't fancy the long drive to France with 3 little ones, or flying, so this way we can get the ferry from Newcastle

V. quick on from me this morning, running a few minutes late.
Looking forward to a nice day at work today hopefully, covering a lovely class this morning then think I might be creating a dame's dress for our play later! Had a nice chilled weekend of housework and sewing and feel quite rested now. Getting close now - 6 weeks today is the earliest baby could be here!
01/07/2013 at 07:28
Ally - we seemed to have rain and cloud for most of June whilst you Scots were littering my Facebook with sunny photos, it's our turn now! Although I think I'll be done with it after a week, it was so hot yesterday. Enjoy your relaxing day with a spare pair of hands.
01/07/2013 at 07:30
M - glad you feel rested, 6 weeks doesn't seem long at all!
01/07/2013 at 08:32
BG - sounds like a busy weekend, work will be a rest by the sounds of it! My Bean is always pushing its back out now so goes hard at the top.
IDC - hope all goes well at MW. my Bean has quieter times, doesnt usually do much overnight which is good for getting some sleep!
Ally - I'll be having a baby this month too! Unless he or she is late of course! Did you get them to agree to induction early?
M - 6 weeks!! Hope work is ok.
AFM - I could be having a baby this month, punctuality permitting!!! Had a lovely weekend pottering about with H and visiting friends, we havent spent much time together with all the DIY but now its done we have some nice plans for the next couple of weekends. First day of maternity leave today so I will be mostly sitting and watching wimbledon!
01/07/2013 at 08:47
PC - pretty sure I'll be induced early. Baby already estimated at 8lb 13. Seeing consultant at 38+6 and she said she'll examine me to see if I'm favourable for induction and hopefully get me booked in. Not sure what the plan is if I'm not favourable tho!
Enjoy the 1st day of your mat leave

IDC, hope mw appt goes well! I feel the same about needing to get a shift on
Ally, hope your H got up in the end! I'm jealous of your holiday-booking! Can't possibly comprehend what a holiday with a baby will be like at the moment though.
Margot, I saw your other post - amazing job of the 'morrck' hoodies! Enjoy your day
PC, enjoy your first day of mat leave! Excellent plans for today!
AFM - Well, I'm due this month. Whether he arrives is another matter! Last week at work this week, although have today off as leave! Just pottering around. If it stops raining I'll walk into town for some hospital bag bits and bobs; maybe do some baby washing and put together the bouncer chair too.
Have a good day everyone! And baby out vibes for MrsH!

01/07/2013 at 11:28

Im making my antenatal class appointments today if I can, theyve swapped from calling your gp to arrange through them to a oone number solves all issues for the area and last time I called they couldnt even book me in with my own MW. Bridget – how was the christening more like a wedding, I’m intrigued?!
IDC – glad the mw goes well. I know everywhere is different, but for my wc I just booked an appointment with a nurse when I was 28 weeks. Now, having another blood test sounds a clever idea. No-one has thought to do mine since I was put on them to see if they are working.
Ally – how exciting booking your holiday for next year! Sounds like fun – is Keycamp like Eurocamp?
Margot – hope you’re having a good day.
Porkchop – enjoy your first day of ml. Having some nice time for you and your H sounds a brilliant idea, we are doing the same!
Pirate Wife – fingers crossed the rain holds off. Sounds a baby filled day for you.
Daisy – enjoy your first day of ml. Starting the day in bed sounds a good way to go about it.
Noodle – how crazy is it how much these babies are moving now, I guess they are running out of room so we can feel loads more goings on in there.
Twink – hope twinklet has woken up by now. Sounds like a lovely weekend minus the feet swelling. Not fun!
Luna – fingers crossed for your H’s job and sorting your antenatal classes. I’m sure you’re totally rocking the spaniel look.
Baby out vibes for MrsH (if you still need them!)
AFM – was meant to meeting with 2 friends and their little girls today but one pulled out as her little one has got chicken pox… and then I pulled out because still not feeling 100% after this stupid cold/cough bug that H passed onto me and couldn’t face the driving to Abingdon.
Baby is still happily kicking away, my hospital bag is another step closer to being ready. Oh and we had a practise at putting the car seat in and out the car yesterday seemed very weird, seeing it actually on the back seat!
01/07/2013 at 12:18
Luna-enjoy your week off, fingers crossed for your H!
Sapphire- hope you feel better soon, are you local to Abingdon then? If you are we are very close!
01/07/2013 at 12:30
Hahahahahahaha sapphire I am, look like Lady from Lady n the Tramp hahahaha! Thanks Noodle.
Ante natal classes look like a no go x
