Any news from Mrs H?
Good luck to those starting their last week of work, hope it goes quickly and you colleagues spoil you!
AFM -meeting up with NCT lot this afternoon, well probably not all of them as one had a little boy on Friday. This morning I need to knacker A out so he'll nap early otherwise he'll be very miserable if we meet them at 2. Might go to messy play.
Baby seems ok, i'm getting lots kicks down low so wonder if she's breach? Not that it means anything at this stage.
Mw tomorrow, first time I've seen her since 6w!
24/06/2013 at 07:26
Will delete mine BG - think we posted at the same time!
Have fun this morning, kicks could be anywhere at this stage I guess. I've only met my MW twice as well, and don't see her for another two weeks now again.
All good here, only 10.5 working days left now, and get my section date this Friday - all becoming rather real!

BG - Good luck tiring A out and enjoy your NCT meet up. That's a long time to go without seeing your midwife
Margot - I bet you can't wait to get your section date, wish I had a more accurate date for when baby will arrive.
AFM - Up and out very early this morning, got to the office at 7am as got my replacement starting and their's so much I want to get sorted before she gets here. Last week at work for me but I have a feeling it's going to be a very long one. Still don't feel ready to finish, had a little cry yesterday (I think that was a mixture of H winding me up, pregnancy hormones, finishing work and the realisation that it's nearly time for baby to arrive and I'll have a new job to do). Got aquanatal this evening although tbh I might give it a miss this week as I'm shattered already and I don't get home until nearly 10am if I go to it.
Have a good day everyone!

Morning you two. Baby IDC kicking me black and blue yesterday afternoon. Proper kicks that hurt a bit. Not nice!
Quiet morning then off to a small soft play place to see a friend and her 2 yr old and 1 month old.
This week I shall be mostly stressing about buying a house. There is just NOTHiNG out there unless we live in another town, which we don't want to do.
24/06/2013 at 07:56
Morning everyone. Will get on laptop later for personals, only manage on phone if I get on early lol
Nothing much to report here. Really bad pelvis/pubic pain overnight everytime I moved. Not got out of bed yet but hoping it eases when I get up. No plans today, last week of nursery for A before our summer holidays start - I'll miss my couple of hours of peace :-(
Hope everyone is well

BG - I'm still here! This time round my movements have all been quite low, MW said due to body being stretched from last time so baby tends to sit lower! Hope this is the case for you too! Good luck wearing out A!
Margot - cant believe how quickly these pregnancies seem to be going! Any preference on c section date?
TT - you'll feel loads better when you finish work. I worked til 38 weeks but have really relaxed in last 2 weeks as well as blitzing house and looking after a toddler.
IDC - is there an urgency on house moving front? Sorry if you have already said!
AFM - well sprout was due on Saturday, did think that something might have been happening yesterday, started to get some tightenings but hasn't come to anything! Have MW this morning who should do a sweep so hoping that goes in my favour! Just spending time with my little girl while I can, she's got a bit clingy lately as she's aware things are about to change so currently having cuddles and watching peppa pig!
24/06/2013 at 08:54
BG - she could be thumping you rather than kicking?! Sounds like a fun day for you!
Margot - Not long in work for you!
TT - your week sounds like its going to be like mine, my replacement starts today.
IDC- we had house buying stress last week, H wants to buy a house he's seen like now, and I said no way! Rows ensued, making for an unpleasent weekend!
Ally - you have my sympathy on the pubic pain!
MRsH - baby out vibes for you!
AFM - last week of work finally! Although my plan to have an easy week seems to have gone awry, I have a long list of stuff to do and my replacement starts aswell. Last antenatal today as well, so that's an afternoon less to get everything done!

House move is because we are fed up renting, have good deposit sat in bank earlier than planned and just want to get on and get settled!
Bridget – enjoy meeting up with your NCT lot. Fingers crossed you manage to tire A out.
Margot – it must be pretty exciting that on Friday you’ll have a pretty good idea of when you’ll get to meet baby!
Twinkletoes – fingers crossed it’ll be Friday in no time. I’d see how you feel but if you’re already knackered, I’d probably give the aquanatal a miss too. I think I’m still catching up from a tiring weekend.
IDC – have fun at the soft play. Oh no, sounds rubbish about the house. Are you in a rush to move?
Ally – enjoy your few hours of peace while they last, eh?! I am not enjoying the pubic pains either, what’s all that about?!
MrsH – hope the mw manages to get things going for you and bless your little girl. Hope she settles when baby arrives.
Porkchop – enjoy your last week of work, hope it doesn’t drag.
AFM – had a lovely, but tiring weekend. It was my mum’s 50th party on Saturday and poor bump was pretty much attacked throughout the day. Yesterday we went and collected a mobile (which I only wanted the arm attachment really) so our ikea mobile is now hanging over the cot but the mobile we got has a wind up music box so an added bonus. We also got a travel cot, which we weren’t planning on getting but for £10 realised it’d be a handy thing to have especially when baby outgrows the moses basket and when we go to visit our families. Baby has still been kicking away but I’m starting to feel more movement lower down again (though still feeling the bashes in my ribs too) so I’m not sure if baby has moved or what, not worried as have mw on Wednesday so I’ll find out then.
24/06/2013 at 09:55
M - do you have any preference on date at all?
TT - I don't blame you giving aquanatal a miss, that's a long old day
IDC - It's so hard trying to find the best compromise when it comes to buyng houses. You're lucky you do have some time on your side.
Ally - Oh no! not good timing re the summer hols. Hope you're more comfortable today.
MrsH - hope the sweep is successful!
PC - if she is her hands will be above her head, it's really far down in my pelvis. Who knows!
Sapphire - ooh, lots of baby purchases!
24/06/2013 at 09:59
Morning everyone, not been on the thread this weekend so need to catch up
BG, Enjoy your NCT meet. Hopefully baby isn't breach (even though it's early days anyway), hopefully MW can tell you tomorrow.
Margot, eek - not long now! Do you get any say on your date? Is it usually pretty much bang on 40 weeks?
TT, hope your last week at work goes well! It's a very emotional time, just run with it.
IDC, I don't envy you buying a house at the moment! We're looking to move next year but already window shopping - perfect looking house came up last week and it's so hard not to go for it! Don't think it's the right time though when we could realistically wait another 10 or 12 months. Hope you find something soon
Morning Ally, hope your feel better later. You have my sympathy
MrsH, Baby out vibes! Hope the sweep goes well!
PC, hoorah to final week at work! Hope your final class goes well! What are you learning about today?
Sapphire, Glad bump is doing well. £10 travel cot sounds like a bargain! Can imagine it being really useful
AFM - think I finally need to admit I've got pelvic girdle pain. Standing, rolling over, walking etc is all really quite painful. Went to yoga on Saturday and it was so much harder than last time I went four weeks ago. Might see if I can get a referral to occupational health at work, although only 8 days left at work so not sure if they'll let me! Day off today - just doing odd jobs and going to start washing baby clothes! In laws were here yesterday and overstayed their welcome by several hours so feeling knackered and glad for a quiet day on my own!
I now feel brave enough to post on the 3rd tri, i dont know why, but last week i felt a bit in limbo as to whether i should i not!! silly isnt it.
BG - have a lovely afternoon and i hope messy play tires him out.
TT - wow that is an early start! You will be fine finishing work, its not forever, you can always go back! i felt a bit like that first time round, now i cant wait to leave, haha!
IDC - ouch, hope the kicks are easing slightly. Maybe he/she was kicking a sensitive part?
Ally - hope you can take it easy today.
Mrs H - good luck for your sweep and enjoy your cuddles x
PC - yay for finishing work. Im jealous
Sapphire - sounds like the baby has moved position if the kicks are different.
AFM - I am fine, just tired after my weekend, even though H let me lie in both days i am still shattered! i am not looking forward to this week at work, its my first full week for about 3 weeks!! its going to be long i fear!
24/06/2013 at 10:06
BG have a nice afternoon.
Margot be nice to have a definite date, none of this guessing or waiting I suppose
Twinkletoes I know how you feel re work, I've been very upset that part of my 'identity' was going, at least for a short time. It's very hard when your full time to adjust to the idea of a different lifestyle. Hope the week goes well for you
IDC oh dear buying a house is one of the most stressful things I've done, being pregnant is another so I don't envy you doing both! Hope something comes up
Ally hope the pain eases when you get moving around
MrsH hope something happens soon
Porkchop hope your week goes well!
Sapphire sounds a good weekend, sure baby has got plenty of time to move if its not in right position
AFM lots of baby movement, less kicks more stomach moving around like a bouncy castle. Saw my manager on Friday and I had a bunch of flowers and voucher as I'd finished work early from all my colleagues which was lovely. The good news is my manager has got some work for me to do from home this week, just a clinical audit that can be emailed back etc but it will keep me busy until my annual leave starts on Friday. It's given me a focus which has perked my mood up. Got midwife tomorrow and physio Wednesday but other than that just growing the duckling
24/06/2013 at 10:55
Right, on the laptop so back for personals :-)
BG - enjoy your afternoon, hope you manage to get A to have a sleep
Margot - very exciting that you'll get your date on Friday, I have consultant on Friday too and hopefully she'll tell me when she's willing to induce me!
TT - hope the last week at work goes OK and it isn't too long for you. You'll be shattered today being in work for 7am!
IDC - enjoy soft play, hope the house hunting isn't too stressful
MrsH - hope the MW goes well today, baby out vibes!
Porkchop - another one finishing work this week, enjoy your last week
Sapphire - sounds like a busy weekend, I get loads of movement really low down too even though baby is supposedly head down. We bought a travel cot to use downstairs to try and keep baby safe and away from my 2 year old lol
PW - hope you manage to see someone re the pain. Can you self refer to the physio at your hospital? We can do that here. Enjoy washing the baby clothes, it's lovely seeing all the little things out on the line
Poppy - hope work isn't too tiring
Duckford - lovely getting pressies from your colleagues. Hope MW goes well tomorrow
AFM, pain has eased up now I'm out of bed and moving about. Still getting the odd feeling of light headedness, no idea what that's all about. Going to really drum it into the consultant on Friday about all my aches and pains etc and hope she takes pity and agrees to induction before my due date. Would make life so much easier re childcare too as my mum can't get time off work the following week. I should get another growth scan so I'm hoping that if baby is measuring big that she'll agree to induction as soon as I'm favourable - 3rd baby so I'm hoping it should be easy enough to start things off
24/06/2013 at 11:00
BG have fun with the NCT gang. OMG how have you not seen MW since 6w?
Margot - bet you cant wait to get yor date, very very real now Im so excited for you!
TT - I think I will cry when I get closer to leaving, looking forward to it too much atm tho hahaha
IDC - good to hear baby IDC is active, Im always getting kicked behind the belly button which hurts like a b!%ch lol.
MrsH - Hope the sweep works for you lovely lots of baby out vibes for you
PC - Im glad I dont have to get things ready for my replacement, I just get to finish lol. Good luck getting everything done and yey for the last antenatal appt.
Sapphire - £10 what a bargain you would've been mad not to. Hope MW goes well on wednesday.
Pw - They shoould still let you go, even just for advice. Hope you are feeling better.
Ps - I slept in til around midday yesterday and Im still tired!
Duckford - Thats good of your manager. Hope MW and physio go well.
AFM - I am relaxing atm, work later until 11pm. Hubby is on his driving lesson and then he has work later too. Im still shattered and my hips are still hurting :( we listened to baby C's heartbeat today and it sounds so strong and clear. She was acting like a starfish yesterday and im sure I got a foot by my diaphragm yesterday, caught my breath. I was lying on my back this morning and went all lightheaded *fun times* I have a weeks hol again next week, which Im eternally greatful for. Doing washing and sweeping today *the glamour* hubby has to hoover its a henry its the devil I hate it lol. Hi to all who follow x
24/06/2013 at 11:01
Sorry missed you there ally, hope all goes well with the consultant xxx

Bridget – to add to baby purchases I’ve just paid for a TENS machine. Pretty happy as the one I was looking at was £25 to rent for 7 weeks or something, but I’ve just bought it second hand for £35, so we can use it for any future babies too. It’s the Babycare Elle one.
Pirate Wife – sounds like you definitely deserve a nice relaxing day!
PoppySeeds – welcome to 3rd tri! Ouch to the long week, fingers crossed it’ll go quicker than you’re expecting it to!
Duckford – tbh I think it’s probably still head down but it’s managed to move it’s arms into my bikini line area so having a good punch about down there. Glad you’ve been given something to keep you busy. How was the award ceremony btw?
Ally – our thinking is that it’ll also double up as a playpen when baby a bit bigger too. But keeping baby safe from your 2 year old sounds a plan! Glad you’re feeling better from moving about.. definitely have a good moan about your pains to consultant see if they’ll be kind on you.
Luna – yay to a relaxing morning and hearing baby hb.

I have seen a MW at 16w, but it was a different one as mine wa son holiday then saw a mw at the hospital and a consultant around 20 weeks. I love my mw though, so sad not to have seen her for so long.
24/06/2013 at 13:59
ohhh I saw a different one every time until 25 weeks then mine took over properly x
