Morning everyone, how are we all?
I've had a busy weekend so not managed to get on here, have I missed much? Lovely girls night at one of my friends on Friday, although didn't get to bed until 1 and only managed 5 hours sleep! It was H's bday on Saturday so we wnt to meet his best man who was visiting from London. Had a baby shower organised by my sister yesterday, it was lovely :-) got spoilt! Feeling very excited about baby's arrival!

Sounds like you had a fab weekend!
I've called work sick this morning. I've had mega pain in my back and hip and weekend and no sleep. I can't move. I've been whimpering, crying and sick due to pain. I'm considering head butting a wall to see if I can knock myself out! I'll be calling doctors as soon as they open.

Morning BE. Sounds like you had a great weekend, Although a busy one. How sweet of your sister to organise a baby shower.
Custard that's sounds really awful. I really hope the doc can see you today.
AFM officially full term now! We had a busy weekend of swimming, helping my sister move house and food shopping on Saturday and lots of visitors yesterday which was nice as the weather was awful so didn't really get out. Isla has woken up poorly today. She's got a temp and is really lethargic so I'm not going into work as she can't go to nursery. A day of calpol and cbeebies today I think.

BE- sounds like you had a lovely weekend. Was the baby shower a surprise?
Custard- sorry to hear that you are still suffering. Hope the doctor is more helpful today
MrsB- cant believe your full term now! Its going too quickly. When do you finish work? Hope Isla gets better soon
Banzy- hope the swimming lesson goes alright, in sure she will be fine so try not to worry
AFM- Another one that's full term as of today. Getting really fed up now and just want baby out. Got a trip to a spa on Friday though, so would probably be best if baby stays put until after that. Finally got round to writing my birth plan yesterday.

BE- sounds like you had a lovely weekend!
Custard- rubbish that you have been suffering and definitely a good idea not to go in to work. Ive been having pain too so really sympathise with you.
MrsB- hope Isla is feeling better soon.
Banzy- glad you had a good weekend. Hope the swimming lesson goes well this afternoon. Let us know!
MS- I never thought I would get to the point where I want baby out but it's definitely getting close! Hope baby stays put until after your spa day.
AFM- another busy weekend. We now have all handles sorted, yey! Means I could set the crib up in the bedroom as the cat can't get in now. Also got baby's wardrobe on friday evening so spent friday and Saturday putting that together (well, I mainly passed H the screws!). Got most of her stuff in there and just need to get some more hangers. Mw dropped TENS machine off on Saturday too. Was very scary talking about actually having contractions, made it seem very real!
Still having pain under bump so not planned anything for today. It's usually all underneath bump but today is more to the left. Baby still wriggling away so doesn't care that she isccausing me grief which is good.

Morning all, I'll be back for personals later but got the health visitor coming this morning so need to make sure both I and house are looking presentable seeing as every other time she sees us we will no doubt be in complete chaos! Doesn't help that I have 2 different times written down for her arrival so who knows when she's coming.
I had an up and down weekend, my friends threw me a fab baby shower on Saturday which was lots of fun, but yesterday pain and general pregnancy fed up-ness really hit and I spent most of the day in tears. Come out now baby!
14/10/2013 at 09:39

Tina, urgh, sorry you are fed up! xx
AFM, 33+4 and starting to get impatient now lol. Lots of movement and not so many pains which is good. Nothing really to report! xx

Happy Monday everyone!
BE- sounds like a busy one! What did you do at your shower?
Custard- i saw your post y.day but didnt get around to replying. it sounds like you are in agaony you poor thing. i really hope the doc can offer a solution today or atleast something to ease the pain & uncomfortableness! (is that a word?)
MrsB- I hope you have a good duvet day and your LO is feeling better soon!
Banzy- that sounds like a grown up swimming lesson!
mummyS-ooh lucky you off to the spa, you have something to look forward to this week! I think my birth plan will just say "get baby out the safest way"
MrsP- hope its not too late a shift!
Sam- have u tried the TENS machine on your bump pain?
Tina- do you think maybe you overdid it on Sat at your show, too much excitedment and energy and the realisationt hat baby is comming soon?
AFM- back at work! feel like ive had a bout a month off!! luckily i dont have much on my plate now until i go on leave. they recruited my cover while I was off!
Have any of the other ladies who had their flu jab on Saturday developed a red mark? I can't remember if it was on the list of possible side effects she read out? it is almost a red triangle witht the top point being where the needle went in. H just shruggled and said it was probably normal! Im sure it is but thought Id see if anyone else had it. Its not as tender as after my whooping cough!
14/10/2013 at 10:31
Hi Chimp- Sounds like me- lots of movements, not too many pains! All good!
14/10/2013 at 10:37
MrsBass- I haven't tried the tens on bump pain. Its not a constant pain, just a really sharp pain when I move so ive taken this as instruction from baby to have a day lying on the sofa! Haha
Flu jab wasn't anywhere near whooping cough jab. I didn't have a sore arm at all and no red mark either (not that I remember lookinh actually! )
I'd keep an eye on it and if you're worried give the docs a call.

Back now! Health visitor was nice but weirdly had a student with her who was someone I did my PGCE with.
BE - that sounds like a lovely weekend, lucky you!
Custard - hope you feel better soon and some rest helps with the aches and pains.
MrsB - happy full term day!
Banzy - hope the swimming goes well, scary stuff but I bet she loves it.
MummyS - happy full term day to you too! I hear you on the fed up front ;)
MrsP - have a good day at work, hope you weren't running too late!
Sam - yay for getting things sorted, I love ticking things off the list! Hope bump pain improves soon.
Chimpanzee - less pain is always a good thing for definite.
Mrs Bass - nah I definitely didn't overdo it, I just sat on my bum and ate cake for 3 hours haha. I'm just struggling to sleep more now and the leg in my ribs is really starting to get annoying as nothing I do has shifted it at all! I got a red mark after my flu jab for around a day, arm was sore for about 5 days afterwards. I found it worse than the whooping cough.
14/10/2013 at 13:15
sounds like a good plan Sam, i hope you have your feet up!
Thanks Tina, I'll keep an eye on it, it is tender but whooping cough was more so. That has gone now after a few days! Glad i got her to do them on different arms!
14/10/2013 at 14:31
Custard - Hope you've managed to get somewhere with the Dr.
MrsB - Yey for full term! Hope Isla feels better soon x
Banzy - Glad you had a nice weekend. Sure the swimming lesson will be fine!
MS - She gave me an invite for it a couple of weeks ago but that was all I knew. Hopefully baby won't keep you waiting too long!
MrsP - Hello :-)
Sam - Sounds like you're pretty sorted now :-) not long to go!
TT - Hope baby comes soon or you start feeling better!
Chimp - Way too much cake! Glad all is well x
Mrs Bass - Had quite a few presents to open, ate cake, had baby cuddles and played a few games, really enjoyed it :-) I had the flu jab on Saturday, no mark but my arm has been very achy.
