Morning, sorry I've not been around the past couple of days, just been so tired! H gets home this evening so looking forward to that :-) bump all good, still getting lots of movement. Not long now til scan attempt 2 on Monday, can't wait to see the baby again.
What's everyone doing today? It's a grey, drizzly, foggy day here and I really don't want to go to work :-( finding work a struggle now there's only a few months left, anyone else feel like this?

Morning, mind if I join you all?
BE, mind if I ask what happened at attempt #1?
I'm still on holiday, fly back tomorrow night and home Saturday, not looking forward to work on Monday, but at least I can tell people the news.
Looking forward to getting to know you all on 2nd tri.

BE, not long at all until your scan. Fingers crossed bubba behaves this time.
Mrs p, welcome! :) I hope you've managed to enjoy your holiday, hope it hasn't been too hot. No more mossies once you're home!
AFM, well last night was just bizarre. The heating came on at some point in the early hours, so I woke up at 4am sweltering. I got up and the boiler was off, no sign of it being on, very odd to say the least. Then I couldn't really get back to sleep! We're seeing some friends this weekend and one of them is a gas safe engineer so I'm going to ask him to have a quick look, see if the wiring is faulty or something.

Hello! Just popping in quickly to say hi before work. Sorry I've not been around either- don't think I'll be able to post from work anymore, and in the evenings I'm so exhausted I can barely sit up, let alone haul myself upstairs to use the computer! I will try to pop on in the mornings if I can though. I was hoping the fatigue would have gone away by now, but no. I do seem to be getting that pregnancy 'glow' now though - for the first time since coming off the pill in November, my skin actually looks half decent and not covered in teenage spots. Yay!
Quick question - does anyone know if it matters than my 16 week midwife appt will be held on week 17? The receptionist at my GP's said that the mw is too busy to see me at week 16.
Also, I have randomly developed a craving for Capri Sun's. No idea what that's about.....
BE - yay that your H is coming home, and yay for movement :-)
MrsP - hello! I hope you have a good flight back. Enjoy the rest of your holiday xx

Missed you there Imp. That's weird about your boiler - definitely get your friend to check it out. Unless you've just had some sort of hot flush?
OMG, I'm having an orange. Eeeek!
04/07/2013 at 08:37
Yay for no spots penny! I'm still shattered too, I wish it would bugger off. No idea about the appt, but I can't see that it would matter.
The radiators were hot, so I know it wasn't me!
Oh, and eeek to the orange!

BE- Yey for H coming home tomorrow and that you get to see your baby again soon! How lovely on both accounts :)
MrsPenguin- Welcome to 2nd tri. It is so much easier when you start telling people so enjoy that on Monday.
Imp- Very strange about the heating! I'd definitely get it checked out. I fell asleep on the sofa again last night and woke up roasting hot, it was so uncomfortable!
Penny- I'm still waiting for my 'pregnancy glow'! My skin hasn't been the best the past few weeks so I'm hoping it clears up soon.
AFM- Had 2 days off work with H which was lovely. We didn't do anything super exciting apart from eat and relax! Had a mooch about the shops and looked at lots of baby things. Bought a few bits but holding off buying too many baby clothes because I know my family are going to go mad and she is going to have tonnes of clothes!
Hope everyone has a lovely day x

Hi ladies, not been on much this week, busy with work and bits for my sister's wedding in 2 weeks.
Will try and pop back later. I have a tiny foot or something which has just jabbed by bladder a few times. I nearly did a wee at my desk. Just had to go for a walk to move her!!!!
04/07/2013 at 09:09
Morning! Didn't expect it to be this busy this morning.
BE - Hope the second scan goes well.
MrsP- Enjoy your last day of holiday, where are you?
Imp - that's strange, definitely worth getting it checked out
Penny - I don't think it should matter that your appointment for the midwife is a week late, I think they like it to be week 16 because that's when they can hear the heartbeat from.
Sam - I am trying (and probably failing) to not buy too many clothes for the same exact reason. But they're just so cute!
LP - Sorry but that made me laugh a little bit, I always imagine that's baby saying, "come on mummy, go for a wee, ive got no room in here"
AFM- Nothing much planned for the day, other than going to aquanatal tonight. I've been trying to find a pregnancy yoga class near by, but there don't seem to be many about, so ill just stick to the swimming. I've only just put two and two together and realised that the fruit thing means we will have to push something out that size! That's a watermelon at the end! Oh my! I can't even imagine pushing out an orange :-s

BE are u on the count down to Mat leave now?!
Welcome Mrs p! Enjoy the last day of your holiday. You are in Thailand right?! u luck so n so!
Imp that is really bizarre, are you sure it wasnt an epic hot flush? was your h hot too?
Penny how is the new job going? hopefully you can still pop on every now and then!
Sam sounds like a lovely couple of days!! Ive been thinking/hoping the same about gifts!
LP- glad to read the "nearly" in that sentence!!!
had a nice time looking at baby stuff with my friend yesterday. I only came away with Bio Oil but she got some baby grows and a maternity pillow! There is so much stuff in those shops! Mamas & Papas had a little check list of everything we will need so i picked one of them up! It scared me! We then treated ourselves to a Burger King!
Have no plans today, will probably try and sort through some more clothes and maybe do some baking!
04/07/2013 at 09:17
MS- hahaha actually laughing at you only just putting 2 and 2 together! That was 1 thing putting me off getting the fruit comparison ticker but a few weeks ago it didn't look as scary.. The men in work on Monday seemed to enjoy showing me how big a papaya was.. Not funny!
I am having a serious 'can't be bothered' day today. Yuk, roll on 5pm
04/07/2013 at 09:18
mummysimpson- i thought that when it was an orange. though i could maybe push an orange out but would manage anything bigger! eeks!
04/07/2013 at 09:37
MrsBass- There is so much temptation in baby shops! We have a list of everything we NEED to get first. Once this is sorted we will start on the little extras. Every time I visit my parents though my mum has bought something new which is why I'm holding out on the clothes front!

I won't attempt personals as on my phone. We are at Champneys having a very relaxing time. Spending ages in the pool yesterday was lovely, baby was so low down and heavy so it was nice to feel weightless. Got a beautiful bump treatment later which I'm extremely excited about!
I think I need to move to 3rd tri now *gulp* so just wanted to wish you all good luck for the rest of 2nd tri and look forward to seeing you all soon on the scary thread!
04/07/2013 at 10:39
Popcorn- Sounds like you are having a lovely time! Enjoy moving to 3rd tri and I will see you there in a few weeks :)
Right everyone- time to put my mind at ease! Definitely TMI below..
After DTD last night I went to the toilet and there was some brown blood on wiping. Seemed a bit but was obviously a little diluted with other stuff (TMI!!!!!!). Settled down and today there is literally a teeny bit. I'm sure I have felt baby moving yesterday evening and this morning but because I'm being super paranoid I think I'm convincing myself that she isn't moving as much. So, what would you do? I'm in work at the minute and can't concentrate. Sat here trying to feel baby. Should I wait until later and see how everything is? I know bleeding during pregnancy is common and it has settled so don't want to come across as a paranoid mad pregnant lady!
04/07/2013 at 11:26
Sam - If you are worried then call the midwife. Remember though, brown blood is old blood. You might have just been a bit "over excited" DTD?! Maybe? If I was worried I would call them, that's why they are there! :-)
04/07/2013 at 12:21
LP- Typical, since I posted she has been kicking away! I think I might be keeping my legs crossed for the rest of pregnancy haha. I'm sure everything is fine now but these things don't half make you worry.
04/07/2013 at 12:22
Popcorn - I am very jealous of your champneys trip, I spend all day pampering other people at work, I need some pampering myself. Look forward to seeing you on 3rd tri soon! Or not (nervous) x
04/07/2013 at 12:23
Sam - if your still worried I would just call the midwife for piece of mind, they wont think your a mad pregnant lady! x
04/07/2013 at 12:52
Sam I had bleeding at 24 weeks recently, more brown discharge than blood. I called my midwife and got checked out at hospital just to be on the safe side. They said it was because my placenta is low and not to worry unless its bright red, clots or cramps. My midwife has since put me and H on a nookie ban until my follow up scan to check if placenta has moved (sorry just thought I'd warn you!)
