Didn't get to update again yesterday, I left work at 1.30 to get to hospital for appt at 3, getting home via nursery at 5.40, all for a 10 minute appointment. The outcome of which is that I now have a growth scan in 2 weeks, but not because baby is measuring big, because she's measuring smaller than A was (9lb), I'm a bit confused but hoping the mw can decipher the consultants notes more when I see her this afternoon. He kept telling me there's nothing to worry about, and I wasn't until he kept saying that!
I think she's taken objection to bekept called small as it was like a frackin disco in there last night, with my bladder being the dancfloor.
WFH today as have mw this afternoon, just a few handover notes left to write.
Baby out vibes for Daisy and whoever else needs/wants them.

Sounds like a waste of time yesterday BG. Hope your mw can shed more light on it for you.
Afm - just playing the waiting game now. I don't expect to go into labour naturally now but hopefull only one more week to go and then my 2nd girl will be here. Got the final bit washed. Just to put them away today.
Hi to all the follow x

I hope you're wrong D and still meet your little girl this week, by probably best to set your expectations on next week then anything sooner is a bonus!
22/08/2013 at 07:45
BG, sounds like most of my cons appointments, pretty much a waste of time! At least you get to see baby again before she is born! You must be finishing work soon?
Daisy, you still have time for her to come on her own. Keep yourself busy, the waiting game is horrible!
AFM, it is A's 4th birthday today so we are taking them to soft play place which they love and then out for lunch. Not sure what will we do this afternoon, if its still raining we'll probably stay in and watch a movie. She is getting a new micro scooter from my folks so no doubt she will want to go out on that whatever the weather! Baby still very active and gets the hiccups a lot! Is that normal?!
Howdy to all that follow,

I hope you're both right but I'm not going to get excited about it anymore.
Happy birthday to your A Noggin. It's raining here too. Think my mum is taking D swimming so I'll just potter about.
This baby gets hiccups loads too. It hurts sometimes.

Happy birthday to A! Hope it brightens up for her to play on her new scooter.
I finish work next Friday at 38+0, it's scary that it's next week as I feel like I could keep going for a while, I still feel about 5 months pregnant.

Daisy- hope you get your baby out soon
Noggin - happy birthday to A. Hope the weathers nice for you and you get to go out somewhere
AFM- Going for a mini facial and a spray tan this morning. Hopefully it might help me feel a bit more like "me" instead of this big baby making machine. Lol. Then H is going out fir a meal and drinks tonight with ex work colleagues, so ill be on my tod at home.

Hi all - just had some toast. Hospital toast is just amazing!
Thanks for all the good wishes. Hopefully we will be home today? William is an absolute delight. He seems very attached to my nipples, but hopefully this will die down soon.
Baby Out vibes to Daisy, don't give up yet, you still have plenty of time xx
GL to the rest of you - will be keeping an eye out for the BA's xxx

MS - ooh enjoy the facial and spray tan! Have a nice evening with full charge of the tv
IDC, he really is a little cutie, hope you're home soon.

BG - sorry your app was a waste of time, hope things are clearer after your MW this afternoon. Will be nice to see baby again though. How much do you think you will be able to see? I've got a scan at 36 weeks but not sure if baby will be too scrunched up to see much? It's only to check the location of my placenta though so I guess that's what they'll really be looking for.
Daisy - there's still time for this to happen naturally, baby out vibes to you!
Noggin - Happy Birthday A! Hope the weather dries up and you can watch her on her scooter without getting too wet. I was going to ask about hiccups as well, I have a super hiccup-y baby, I find them really distracting!
MS - enjoy your little pamper session today, I know what you mean about wanting to feel more "you". I've booked a few beauty treatments for while I'm on ML.
IDC - morning lovely! Congrats to you again, I noticed that you'd done a "hello" post so I'll be off to read that after this. Enjoy your toast :)
AFM - quiz at work last night which was great fun, although the fish n chip supper we had kept me full until way beyond bedtime so I was up late bouncing on my ball, trying to digest! Off tomorrow so last day in the office this week then just three days next week until I finish for good, thankfully it's slowing down for me now. Two of my friends are coming round tonight which I'm looking forward to, haven't seen them since I was about 26/27 weeks so will be interesting to see how huge they think I've got!

BG- The 'there is nothing to worry about' line is always bound to get you worried! Hope the midwife can give you some clearer answers this afternoon.
Daisy- At least you are expecting nothing to happen until next week. Anything in the meantime will come as a great surprise! Got my fingers crossed for you x
Noggin- Happy birthday to A! Hope you all have a lovely day out. I haven't felt baby get the hiccups yet (I don't think!?).
MS- Facial and spray tan really does sound like a good idea! Enjoy. I was telling H last night that I feel like a big fat frump. Stretch marks on my poor boobs is now at 2 (noooo) and I noticed a few on my thighs last night. I'm fully expecting to be covered in them within the next 10 weeks now.. I woke up really early this morning and instead of trying to go back to sleep like I normally would decided to get up made more of an effort with my hair and make-up. Going to make a conscious effort to eat better too as I think this is making me feel rubbish-y too.
IDC- I did see your post earlier and baby is gorgeous! Glad you are recovering well and I hope you can go home to rest today.
Popcorn- The end is in sight for you and work. Have a lovely catch up with your friends tonight.
AFM- Not much to report. Baby was super wriggly yesterday and making my belly jump around. Everytime I tried to get H to see she stopped, little monkey!
22/08/2013 at 09:25
BG nice that you will get to see baby again for the scan
Daisy dont give up hope you never know she may still surprise you and make an appearance soon
Nog I've not really noticed hiccups this time but with W she had them loads. And for the first 24 hrs after being born she was hiccuping loads too. At 20 months now she still gets them every time she laughs!
MS spray tan sounds like a great idea I could do with one of those!
IDC hello! Hope you're recovering well
PC enjoy your catch up with your friends
AFM had a MW appointment yesterday. I've seen a different person every time and they've all been useless and miserable. This one, despite it being written on the front cover that I am consultant led and having a CS asked if I'd thought about having a home birth!! Then she measured me but didn't bother telling me the size- when I looked in my notes after it says 29cm, which is pretty impressive considering I was 29.5cm 3 weeks ago!! Also , surely when I am 32 weeks 29cm would be classed as measuring small and be a concern. Especially as W was big. I've got my consultant appointment in two weeks so will ask them to measure me properly then and then ask them about size.
Got my whooping cough vaccine booked for today. Not much else planned.
Baby out vibes to daisy and duckford
JT 32 weeks

Pc - I've no idea how much I'll see, never had a scan past 20 weeks before. I'm hoping being told I have a 7lb-er in there will give me a bit more confidence for my vbac.
Sam - I got horrendous stretch marks on my boobs last time but none on my bump at all. *touch wood* none this time either.
JT - I spoke to my mw friend last night re fundal measurements as she said unless they're done by the same person they're not very reliable at all, and even if done by the same person the position of baby can make a big difference so I wouldn't worry too much.
22/08/2013 at 09:56
I cant do personals at the moment as I have come in to work on my last day to a shed load of things to do, sods law hey - but one of the girls here decorated my desk full of balloons which is nice and we have a little picnic (in a meeting room) at lunch time where everyone has brought a dish, in which i am really looking forward to. Roll on 5pm today, I cant wait to finish and spend a few weeks with my little girl before she starts school and her baby brother disrupts everything!!!
poppy 35+4 xxxx
22/08/2013 at 10:32
BG I thought that was the case. Plus the last two times the MW doing it has asked me where my pubic bone is so I've not really had much faith in the accuracy. The measurement saying I have actually shrunk yesterday just proved it!
PS enjoy your last day, that's so nice that they have decorated your desk for you. I wouldn't worry too much about your work load for the day and just enjoy yourself.
22/08/2013 at 10:37
BG - hope the MW can decipher those notes and that everything is ok
Daisy - lots of baby out vibes for you lovely
Noggin - hope your LO has a fab birthday :)
MS - have a lovely mini facial Im desperate for a mani/pedi going to book in asap lol
IDC - yey!!!! everything crossed you get home today, enjoy your toast :D
PC - have fun with your friends :D
Sam - baby c is the same makes a liar out of me everytime lol
JT - she sounds poo. if you are consultant led surely that should scream at her that even mentioning a home birth is totally innappropriate.
PS - yey for your last day :) have a lovely "picnic"
AFM - still sore, still very uncomfortable, still pooping through the eye of a needle but no other signs. Cant sleep managing about 3 hours a night lol probably just preparing for when she is here and getting used to no sleep whatsoever. Hi to all who follow x
22/08/2013 at 11:35
Luna- Glad your baby is a little rascal too! :) Sorry you are still uncomfortable, hope things ease up soon and you manage to get a bit more sleep before baby arrives! Take care of yourself and definitely get yourself booked in for that mani/ pedi. You deserve it! x
22/08/2013 at 18:14
Luna - your poo description just made me snort with laughter!
Mw appointment done, finally saw my mw again, last time I saw her I was only 6w. She said as I saw the consultant I didn't need to see her, she reckons baby is average size and is betting on 7.5lb. As I have the scan in 2 weeks she doesn't need to see me until 40+4 for a sweep if I even make it that far.
