Hi ladies!!! Weekend is sooo close - can almost smell it. Yay.
Hope everyone is doing well? I have my penultimate work day today, morning in office, midwife at lunch, home working in afternoon. Had a really lovely evening out with hubby as ended up in a quiz where we went for dinner. I have been feeling wretched though. Very swollen even though I was on my bed until 4pm yesterday, bump is very tight and very sore, bump and back tender to touch, I'm breathless, hot then cold, achey and generally just extremely pregnant! Haven't slept much tonight due to this so I'm going to be a tired bunny later. At least it's nearly the weekend :D

Morning ladies. Thread crash by Autumn Rose's PP to say her waters went early this morning, her contractions immediately went to 2-3 minutes so she's gone in. Hope to be back with a birth announcement soon. Any baby out vibes appreciated but hoping April 3 is going to be a momentous day in the AR family!

*another crasher* Saw your Name Hollywood and knew something must be kicking off ;-) Hope Baby AT is here do on, 3rd April babies are particularly awesome! ;-)

Running late so will return to this later, but AR, yayyyy!!! Hope everything goes smoothly & quickly. X
03/04/2014 at 07:33
Waahhhhhh at last I'm so pleased for you AR!
Counter I'm so jealous you are finishing work!
Afm - I didn't get back on last but, midwife saw me and bp was lower. Still have protein in my urine though, she called the hospital who confirmed protein in my lab results. So midwife is seeing me Saturday and Monday, then after my growth scan on Wednesday I'm to be seen in ante natal clinic!
Other than that, iv been quit off my food which is very shocking for me, and I'm shattered. But back to work today, only 2 days until the weekend :-) !!

Woohoo crashing in too as just off to work!
Come on baby AR hope he finally makes an appearance today, can't wait for an update Hollywood, oooeeeeee exciting :) :) xx
Sheesh meant to say I hope to be on later as I've been AWOL lately, been training this fella to cover my maternity leave this week and it's sooo tiring!
Counter I hope you get comfy soon but you sound like you are on top if it all?
Monnie so happy you are being monitored thoroughly :)
03/04/2014 at 08:09
So excited for AR, thanks for keeping us updated Hollywood! Let'a hope we get a BA very soon!
Counter - can't believe you're almost finished with work! It must be such a weird feeling. Baxter needs to hurry up now so you can make the most of your time off.
Monnie - glad your BP is lower now. Hope when you see the midwife on Saturday all is ok.
Trifle - hope your little one had a lovely birthday! At least you have an end in sight to work towards.
Leelee - I hateed training my cover! When do you finish work, is it soon?
AFM - now officially overdue and still sulking! Had a few tears last night when H got home but really am going to try and be positive ( that'll last till about lunchtime!) Managed a decent nights sleep last night which seems to have helped my mood a bit. Might have a look at some holidays this afternoon to cheer myself up as we're hoping to go away in September for H's birthday, that'll make me feel better!

Woohoo!! Finally!! Can't wait to hear about baby AR :)
Counter, I'm sorry you're so swollen and tired.. Hopefully baby will be here by the end of the weekend and you can be tired for a better reason.
Monnie, good news about the BP, but still protein? I hope it's nothing, but glad they're looking after you.
Trifle, I hope you enjoyed your daughters birthday, and hopefully you won't make it to the induction.
LL, training people on top of doing your own work is always tiring. How long will you be looking after him?
Flossy, baby's just not done yet, but I'm sure I will be exactly like you when I hit D-day. You can tell yourself over and over that you know baby will likely be late, but the reality has to be so frustrating. I'm giving you all my baby out vibes.
AFM, had first NCT class last night. 8 couples, so I think quite a big group. Due dates were supposed to be mid may-mid June, but there's a 29 June due date (I think we are the closest in date to them at 4th June!). There are quite a few nice seeming people, but I didn't really get to talk to many. During the break I dashed off to the toilet and when I came back poor H was sitting on his own while everyone else had broken off into two large groups of people chatting. He's quite shy, and I couldn't help but think I should have stuck around at first to join us to a conversation before running off like I did. Oh well!

Counter - Happy nearly weekend and almost end of work day to you! Sounds like you had a nice evening, hopefully you won't be feeling the effects of being pregnant for much longer!
:) Sending AR lots of happy birthing vibes for you if little one has not made an appearance yet! I had a feeling this week would be your week!
Monnie - Good to here BP has gone down, hopefully everything else will settle and you and baby will be fine :)
Trifle - Hope your daughter had a lovely birthday, hope the next 10 days fly by, you are on the home straight now!
LeeLee - Hope you are ok :)
Flossy - Baby out vibes for you!
AFM, not much to report, have had a headache for the past 3-4 days so going to go see the Dr this morning just to check it isn't anything more serious. I have always been a headachey person so hoping it is just that!
Had a bit of a moan to H last night that we are counting down to 40 weeks, but if baby comes late I don't think I will be able to cope! He was lovely and was telling me how he had been telling his work colleagues and people how proud of me he was so that made me snap out of it and feel a little better. He has also taken to coming and 'stealing' bump time in the evenings when I am lying in bed, he was talking to bump asking if they were a boy or girl and chasing their movements around my bump with his hands. Can't wait for baby to be here now, I know he is going to be such a good dad!

Missed you Wispa - I am hoping that I don't come over too shy at the classes! Hopefully a few weeks in it will be easier to make conversation and friendships. Did you find the first class good?
Yay, go AR, looking forward to an update shortly.
Counter glad you had a nice time out last night. Work today doesn't sound too bad! Hope you're feeling ok today.
Monnie good news about your blood pressure. It's great that they are keeping a good eye on you. Hope your next appointment goes ok.
Trifle hope your little girl had a lovely birthday! At least you know a rough date that baby will arrive :)
Lee lee hope your ok god training mine ended up a right pain.
Flossy oh being overdue sucks! Baby out vibes to you. Glad you had a good sleep, makes a difference! Oh yes look at holidays, good to have something to look forward too.
Afm bloods went ok yesterday, still waiting on results from the ones two weeks ago! Counter think you asked what they were for? They are just keeping count of my platelets ready for labour. Got a new foundation yesterday, my skin has gone quite dry and red lately, finding one I really liked was a chore! Got sil round today to do some baking :) am already getting texts and calls asking if there's any signs... Quite annoying lol.
Also yesterday mil couldn't get hold of me or H so she was going to ring the delivery ward and ask if we were there, would they tell her? She said she'd call whilst I'm in labour for updates, I didn't think they'd give info over the phone?
03/04/2014 at 09:00
Oh I must have typed rather slow! Wispa glad the class went well. Bless your H. Hopefully you can make son friends there, I didn't really click with many at mine but I have a few friends pregnant anyways so not so bad.
Vix hope the docs goes ok. Aw that's lovely about your H. It's so nice when they let us know they are proud and watching them interact with bump.
03/04/2014 at 09:04
Wispa - I wouldn't worry too much about the first class. I found at ours the break in the first week was a bit awkward, but after a session or two it got a lot more comfortable. Generally most of the ladies ran out to the loo as soon straight away anyway and left the boys to make drinks (or steal all the nice biscuits!) It definitely gets less awkward. Hope you enjoyed it.
Vix - definitely countdown to at least 41 weeks to stop yourself going mad! My H has bump time as well, he tells me I'm not needed and makes me put headphones on, very cute!
Bertie - what foundation did you go for? I really need a new one as my skin has gone funny since being pregnant but I might hold out till baby is here in case it changes again. I have some John lewis vouchers though so fancy treating myself to some new makeup. I can't imagine the labour ward would tell her if you're there...especially as you're the patient and she's not your next of kin or anything like that.
03/04/2014 at 09:21
Flossy I went for Clarins in the end and so glad I did as it's lovely. I am a bit of a foundation junkie lol but this is the best I have used. That's what I thought too but she seems to think they will. She keeps saying that my H might call her and ask her to come to the hospital, no chance!
03/04/2014 at 10:08
Crashing in to wish AR a speedy labour!
Hope the rest of you are ok, baby out vibes to those who want them x
03/04/2014 at 10:34
I'm back! Morning everyone.
Counter - you sound exceedingly fed up, hope your penultimate day goes ok, and lots of baby out vibes. Hopefully AR will kick start a roll!
Monnie, I'm glad everything was ok with the blood pressure, and they're keeping an eye on the protein. Take it easy please!
Trifle, hope the birthday celebrations were all good. Home stretch now, not long to go...
Leelee, hope everything's good with you. I hate training people at the best of times, and it's so much weirder when it's your own cover.
Flossy, aargh to being overdue, but it's so normal with a first baby, and there's loads of time for you to go into labour yet. I went 6 days over with J (per the hospital's dates) and it dragged soooo much, but they appear when they're ready. Lots of baby out vibes for you too.
Wispa, it took us a few weeks to mesh with our nct group fully too, but it does get less odd as the weeks go on, and hopefully by the end you'll all be good friends.
Vix, that's so sweet about your H and the bump. H hasn't really connected with the bump at all, either this time or last, but he's a great dad so it's all good!
Bertie, I'd flipping hope they'd not tell your MIL if you were in the hospital! Sounds pretty unlikely, patient confidentaility and all that. Yay for new foundation, a little treat is always nice. Baby out vibes for you too.
AFM, nothing exciting to report. Attila was quite quiet yesterday morning and I was starting to worry a bit, but she had quite an active evening to make up for it. I'm feeling pretty pregnant at the moment (yep, with weeks still to go) and have been really achy the last couple of days, walking has been painful and I'm feeling a bit fed up. I've a nice restful day at work today though (work is so much less tiring than looking after J!) so will get to sit down lots and hopefully that'll help. Fattie yoga tonight too, which is always quite relaxing, and is about the only time in the week that I actually focus on the baby. Poor neglected Attila...
Baby out vibes to all who need them, and go AR!!
03/04/2014 at 10:59
Bertie - Sounds like your MIL is a bit of a nightmare! I wouldn't of thought the hospital would pass on any information to anyone who wasn't next of kin.
Flossy - It is nice seeing our OHs bond with the little ones before they have arrived!
SG - Hope you have a relaxing day at work!
AFM - Just got back from the Drs, they checked BP etc and it all seems normal, so sounds like I am just one of those lucky people who get pregnancy headaches. Have been told to just mention it to the midwife at the 31 week appointment just so they can monitor it if necessary.
03/04/2014 at 13:30
Amazing news from AR, i was checking back every come hours for news, I'm so thrilled :) :)
Vix, glad to hear your BP is fine. I was just thinking about the whole countdown thing, too. We have these tickers that tell us how far along until baby is done, but I don't know how I will cope with having a watermelon or jackfruit or whatever the last one is for more than a week! The first class was good. It was a lot about pregnancy and what we may or may not be experiencing. The leader tried to get the partners as involved as ossicle, asking how they were effected by everything. There's as a funny moment when the leader was describing how the hormones work and saying that an ideal birth setting is the same as your ideal setting for sex, and she asked us what we thought would be important and one of the husbands said 'Barry White.'
Bertie, what did you bake? I just finished off the last of the choc chip banana bread I made Monday, and I'm sad that I consciously decided not to buy more flour so I won't be able to bake more delicious fatty things. As for delivery suite telling your MIL if you're there, I don't think they can? Unless you give permission for people to be given news, I wouldn't think they would be allowed to confirm or deny your presence.
SG, I can only imagine that looking after J must be tiring I when 7 months pregnant. Glad your having a restful day, enjoy 'fattie' yoga. I sometimes go to the old people yoga myself, haha.
AFM, I got home from my walk with Wispa to find my achica delivery in the porch! Yay! Lots and lots of Aden + Anais goodies, and I'm thrilled. They feel like a more practical purchase than the adorable Scandinavian baby clothing I've been buying. Baby is slowly accumulating a lot of stuff! We got snap bibs, bumpy bibs, a cozy muslin blanket, two packs of pretty print muslins, and a sleeping bag.
