Hello ladies - nearly the weekend for those of you hanging in there for Saturday!
We're having breakfast then re-packing the bags (couldn't be bothered last night, was happily pretending spontaneous labour was going to kick in overnight!) and leave around 7.20.
I've naughtily arranged to pop off after my pessary and first bout of monitoring and visit my friend who was due yesterday but had a Ceasearean last week. Dying to meet her new baby and starting to think I might be headed for a ceasaerean myself so might not get the chance to see her for a while. :)
Looks lovely outside, from here. Hope you all have a lovely day x

Counter good luck for today. I hope things get going for you really fast today. Come on Baxter!
Trifle I hope things ramp up for you too.
Bertie same for you!
Well I have to go back for more blood to be taken. Great! Not only do I have crap veins, they've also not labelled my blood so I've gig to endure them puncturing me again! I can't get back until next week though so it'll have to wait. Off for my whopping cough jab later which I'm dreading after people saying it really hurts.

Thanks trifle, that's good to know. I don't normally bother about needles and jabs but people have done a grand job telling me how sore it is!
17/04/2014 at 07:48
Imp, please don't worry about jab. There was nothing it stopped me doing but if I rolled on to it in the night I ruddy knew it!
Trifle - I used to think things like contractions actually MEANT something, after all the dozens of hours I know they don't - not for me lol! But I hope it's significant for you and stuff happens! :)

Counter good luck for today, I will be keeping an eye out for your announcement! Ah that will be lovely popping to see your friend. Come oooooon Baxter!
Ooh trifle sounds promising! Baby out vibes to you.
Imp how annoying about the bloods! I hate having them done as I have crappy veins too. Hope it goes ok for you. Whooping cough jab for me was absolutely fine, hurt less than my flu one so hope it's the same for you.
Sorry didn't get back on yesterday. The flapjacks were actually quite good this time, yay! I'm no Mary berry but at least I can conquer a flapjack lol. Had a good sleep last night although so dodgy dreams! Had some pineapple yesterday but just made my tongue funny! Looking forward to having a long weekend with H, hopefully with a new baby too! Have a sweep booked for Saturday so fingers crossed for that. Midwife was surprised I was still pregnant!

Morning all, baby out/eviction notices to all who need them...counter, Trifle and Bertie spring to mind and anyone else in need :)
counter - as mentioned previously, I'm gonna keep everything crossed for you today my lovely, it's about time, cooooome on Baby Baxter :)
Trifle - sorry you are also going through it, I hope things vamp up for you too :)
imp - what a royal pain about having to give blood again. The whooping cough jab didn't hurt when done, my arm was sore afterwards but nothing to stop me doing everyday things, good luck.
Bertie - flapjacks sound soo good right now yum! I hope the sweep is successful :)
AFM - got our first antenatal class this afternoon, eek, my H and I are a bit apprehensive, we know it may be a bit embarrassing with the breathing etc but I'm sure we'll have a giggle :)
Hi to all xx

Counter, Trifle, and Bertie, I'm hoping for some Easter babies so all the vibes for you three (though a smidgen extra for Counter after the past 5 days)!
Counter, do they let you just leave in the middle of an induction??
Trifle, I'm sorry your second isn't being quick as promised, but it all sounds positive!
Imp, ouch about the bloods and jab, I still haven't had my wc jab, I keep forgetting! I hope it's not as bad as you're expecting.
Bertie, glad the flapjacks turned out. I love baking! Are flapjacks going to be your go-to now that they've been successful? I can just imagine your LO raving about mum's homemade flapjacks, how cute would that be?
LL, good luck with the class. The breathing has nothing on the massage techniques or the diagrams you'll get to see ;).
AFM, no work today, so I'm going out for coffee, taking Wispa for a walk, and then putting my feet up this afternoon. I might pop out for baking supplies, though. I'm making lemon drizzle cake this weekend for Easter and it's Wispa's 2nd birthday on Monday so I'm going to make her some peanut butter and banana pupcakes

Lee lee hope the class goes well! I quite enjoyed mine but we didn't have any breathing exercises or anything
Wispa aw now that does sound cute, maybe they will be my staple treat. I tried a lemon drizzle the other week but it tasted like pancake! You'll have to give me some tips ;)
17/04/2014 at 09:27
Counter - Best of luck, hope you have baby Baxter in your arms very soon!
Trifle - Big baby out vibes for you!
Imp - that is a bit rubbish about the bloods! I found the actual whooping cough jab to not be too bad, arm just hurt afterwards. A week on it is fine now though :)
Bertie - glad your baking was a success :) I am still convinced that you will have baby before the week is out!
LeeLee - hope the antenatal classes go well!
Wispa - sounds like you have a lovely day planned! You have made me want to make a lemon drizzle cake now!
AFM - work for most of the day, dentists at lunchtime and then growth scan at 3.30.
17/04/2014 at 09:55
Trifle had you had your show before your sweep?
Vix I really hope you are right! Hope dentist goes ok, is it just a check up? Good luck for the scan, be nice to see baby again :)

Oh yay. I didn't know if it made a difference if you had already had it or not? Monday and Tues I had a lot and then yesterday and today I've had smaller amounts.

I will be gutted if she can't do one or something! Yes I am a bit, it's horrible just waiting everyday. Going to bed every night thinking tonight may be the night and then waking up and nothing has. Really don't want to be induced, don't even know when they will if needed.
17/04/2014 at 16:54
Dentists was cancelled, so something to look forward to another day now! Only a check up though :)
Scan went well, head and tummy circumference around the 50th centile, femur 7th centile and weight 19th centile. So average with short legs and a slightly lower than average weight! The bugger has turned breech though, has been head down for 6 or so weeks and was at yesterdays appointment, but today they are definitely head up! Fingers crossed they turn back around again!

Afternoon ladies! Sorry I haven't been on for a couple of days.
Baby out vibes for Counter, Bertie and Trifle!
Imp - how annoying having to give more blood! Good luck with the whooping cough jab.
LeeLee - hope the antenatal class goes well!
Wispa - hope you had a great day off.
Vix - hope the dentist and growth scan went well.
AFM - midwife appointment went well on Tuesday. Baby measuring a mere 2 days ahead and had hiccups, much to H's amusement! I've had my letter through about the whooping cough jab today so need to get it booked and had a call from the surgery telling me I had to pick up a prescription for iron tablets. Looking forward to my antenatal class this evening and hopefully getting a good night's sleep!

Sorry Vix, I typed so slowly I missed your post! Glad the scan went well.
