Congratulations to Bunny, hope you are both ok and home soon x
Margot - is today the day you finally get THE date?
AFM - exhausted after having to wait up until 1am for H, he has no keys as he'd left them at nursery for his mum to pick Alex up. Then the trains were screwed and he then managed to miss his stop an had to get a can back.
On the plus side I have another name on the horizon after the Cambridges used George (thus ruling out Georgiana), H hasn't vetoed it yet, we're disagreeing over spelling which I'm taking as a good sign. Trying not to get my hopes up, I feel we've gone down this path a few times in the last 6 months...

Morning BG, I'm still here, it'll be a while before you're rid of me!
Sorry you're so tired! Great news about the name progress though, good luck in your battles :)
I'm sure it is today for Margot, exciting!
AFM working from home today to try and get my handover plans written. My replacement doesn't start til 4 Aug but I've no idea where to start with it all! Baby was doing some strange movements last night, all arms and legs poking out everywhere, weird! Am 30 weeks today, out of nowhere it seems!
Congrats to Bunny again xx
Hope everyone has a good day x
Me! I've still got ages to go. I was worried the Royals might use one of our shortlisted names but alas they didn't. We too are really struggling so that really wouldn't have helped!
BG- hope you aren't too tired today, I can't remember the last time I saw 1am!
I have a couple of days off with the girls. Only have one full week at work until mat leave, hurrah! Think it's going to fly now with the girls being off school and being in and out of work. Have some chores to do this morning and then I have a friend over after lunch with her three kids. I am hoping the weather stays nice so they can go out in the garden.
Hello to all that follow,
25/07/2013 at 07:40
Sorry Popcorn, missed you there! I wish I could work from home, I used to a lot in my old job and found I would get so much done without the interuption!
25/07/2013 at 07:51
Popcorn - good luck getting your handover notes written. I'm struggling with mine, although as my replacement has already started it's more a case of telling her and lettin her write her own notes!
Noggin - Enjoy your days off with your girls, not long to go at work now!
25/07/2013 at 07:54
I'm here for at least a few more weeks I hope!
BG - sorry about the name thing. When I started the thread before I totally forgot about your battles over Georgina. Out of interest, how come your hubby is so against girl names that can be shortened to a boy name? Is he worried about having a tomboy?
Popcorn - strange movements are both fun and scary. It's like you forget the baby is a person and then when you get definite limbs etc it seems freaky. 30 weeks -time will fly now (until last few which normally draaaaaag)
Noggin - cant imagine how you can manage with 2 on holidays and be woRkimg and heavily pregnant. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough to play outside but not too hot!
Me - couldn't get to sleep last night for ages. No idea why as it wasn't like I was over thinking or physically uncomfortable, although that said, my feet were really roasting hot!
So Margot is having an elective? Me too, I have had my date a few weeks now, although part of me thinks it will end up being busy on the day and I will get bumped to the day after. Anyone else having an elective?
25/07/2013 at 08:30
Congrats to Bunny! Such a surprise! Hope you're all doing well
Morning BG, do you think you'll have a name ready before the due date?
Popcorn, Hoorah to 30 weeks! It's lovely when you get really strong movements.
Noggin, Not long til mat leave! Have a good day off!
IDC, That's nice to know your date so far in advance. Are you telling people or keeping it a surprise?
Margot, good luck getting your date!
AFM - Was awake for a bit in the night, not sure why. Hips and back are getting really uncomfortable now though. I'm almost at the point of requesting baby-out vibes but will try and hold off until due date next Tuesday. Meeting my mum for lunch today but no other plans at the moment.
25/07/2013 at 08:37
BG - hope you're not too tired today. Glad you have another name.
Popcorn - hope time doesn't go too fast.
Noggin - enjoy your day with your girls
IDC - I couldn't sleep either. Was just too hot.
Afm - horrible nights sleep. D woke up at 2 screaming for her daddy but he's not back til tomorrow. She is very grumpy today. Finally sorting out the baby clothes. Can't believe I'll have something so small again. It's scary. Hoping to get my bag packed before the weekend.
Hope you do your date Margot x

Missed you there PW. Hope your pain eases and enjoy lunch with your mum x
25/07/2013 at 08:51
Morning all, and huge congratulations to Bunny, hope they are all recovering well x
BG, glad there is another name on the list!
Popcorn, hope you can get somewhere with the handover notes soon, it's so hard to know where to start.
Noggin, yay for only one more week before ML!
IDC, yes, I'm having my second elective after an emergency with #1. Hope you don't get bumped to the next day, happened to me with #2 and was really annoying.
PW, hope the discomfort eases and sending some sneaky vibes your way!
Daisy, hope you and D have a nice day, enjoy sorting the clothes.
AFM, had a lovely meal out with work last night but it was a very late night and I think I'll be feeling it by tonight. Yes, today is the big day where I finally find out when baby is arriving, can't wait! Hoping it will be earlier in the week but now worrying that because they've left it so late to book (potentially less than 3 weeks) that there won't be any slots left! Will pop back later with an update.
25/07/2013 at 09:07
BG do we get to hear your new name?
PC hope you manage to get all your notes done
Nog not long until mat leave!
IDC I'm having an elective too. My hospital has a separate team going the electives to the emergency CS so I shouldn't get bumped which is good for planning.
PW hopefully not too long left to wait
Daisy hope D is out of her grumpy mood soon
Margot hope you get the date you want for your CS.
My appointment with consultant isn't until 36 weeks so am anxious about getting my cs date booked too. For various reasons I really want it to be my due date. Does anyone who's had a ECS before know how likely they will be to allow that? I was given the option of a VBAC and am only opting for ECS as last baby was so big in comparison to my size last time I don't want to risk complications during delivery. But it's been my choice in a way so I'm hoping they will allow me to wait rather than having it earlier in the week.
I think we have also come up with a name we both like. It's the only one so far that's stood out for me above the others on our list. We will probably change our mind again in a week though!
JT 28 weeks
25/07/2013 at 10:28
Noggin - woo for one more week at work! Have a nice afternoon.
IDC - I've got seriously hot feet at night at the moment as well. I get H to sponge them with a cold wet flannel (bless him!) I'm trying to plan lots of stuff for the last few weeks so that it hopefully doesn't drag too much!
PW - I'll start saving up baby out vibes for you for next Tuesday so that they're extra strong when you need them ha :)
Daisy - hope your little D cheers up a bit for you, poor thing.
Margot - look forward to hearing your update later.
JT - exciting about a name!
My desk chair at home is driving me mad, it's so uncomfortable! Time for an extended tea break methinks...

Congratulations Bunny! Hope your little girl is doing ok.
Bridget – ouch, 1am sounds tough. Sounds like good news on the name – discussing the spelling of the name is clearly not a no.
Popcorn – hope once you start the handover notes will just come along easily. So close to being in the single figures to go..
Noggin – enjoy your day. Not long to go until maternity leave and like you say with the school holidays I’m sure things will go pretty quickly.
IDC – must be exciting to know your date, think positive that that will be your date!
Pirate Wife – enjoy your lunch with your mum. Hope the pain eases up (at least for some of each day to give you a break)
Daisy – oh no, hope she cheers up as the day goes on. I found it very scary hanging the baby clothes on the line, just seemed so crazy that someone in our house was going to be wearing them.
Margot – the tiredness will be worth it. And once you get your date (fingers crossed it’s one you’re hoping for) that will take your mind off any tiredness you have.
Jellytot – exciting about agreeing on a name. You never know it might stick...
AFM – mw went well yesterday. She did measure me very close to the 90th centile line, but to be honest, it was the mw that I don’t have quite as much trust in. Which would mean bump has grown a lot in the past 2 weeks, which I don’t necessarily feel it has. So just have to wait and see. I find it strange while my other mw measures me without my input this one always has to question if that’s my pubic bone. She also didn’t seem to care when I questioned her about being sick the other night or the tightening. At least if I’m still going at 40 weeks, my appointment will be with my better mw. H has started giving my back a massage when I’m sat on my gym ball in the evening if I position it between his legs lol – he’s an absolute star. Really helped last night.

Hello, thank you for the well wishes, hope you are all good. I've put an update on my Ba. Things are improving but she's going to be in for at least a couple More days.
25/07/2013 at 13:55
Congratulations again Bunny, hope you are home together soon. x
25/07/2013 at 15:46
Glad to hear things are improving for Keira Bunny, hope you are all home soon x
After a 1h20m wait in hospital, I finally got seen and baby will be arriving on 12th August so not long now!
25/07/2013 at 15:58
Bunny - I will go read update now. Sounds positive though.
Margot - eek that is close. Will be asking you for tips before you go in. I was EMCS last time so not sure what to expect this time around?
25/07/2013 at 16:04
Ask away IDC, happy to help!
25/07/2013 at 16:05
