It's August, how did that happen? Suddenly feeling the panic and urge to at least think about getting some stuff organised for this baby.
Had a quiet day yesterday, was working from home which I find so boring, managed to sort through most of my e-mails and finish off lots of little things. On the extra extra early train to work, couldn't get back to sleep once I woke at 5 so thought I'd make the most of it. I need to leave early today to get back for the plumber to fix our shower, so at least I can leave at 3.30 guilt free (not that I'd feel that guilty).
Exciting that this is the month a lot of you meet your babies!

BG - hope you get away on time.
Boris - I had issues with high bp with no1. Turned out ok. Lots of extra monitoring though.
Afm - quite a restless night. Its very hot here again. Least D is sleeping through atm. I am so ready for this baby now. H reckons it will 2-3 days late. Hope that's all it is.
Hi to all that follow x

Boris - could be this month? Sorry to hear you've had a bit of a worrying time but, as you say, it's good they are keeping a close eye on you. Enjoy your afternoon tea!
Daisy - I hope she's punctual for your sake, you definitely seem more than ready now. Hope you manage to keep cool today, meant to be another hot one.

BG - how did it become August already - our babies are due next month!
Boris - glad your BP has come down, enjoy your cream tea and shopping :)
Daisy - Sorry you had a restless night, it's meant to be hot again today, hope that doesn't mean a hot night tonight.
AFM, at my MW appointment yesterday she confirmed baby is head down. She gave me my 28 week blood results and I've got low platelet count so I've got to ring the consultant at the hospital today. She was a bit vague about what it meant but from what I can gather it just means I might have more bleeding after birth so they will probably need to do another blood test to make sure the numbers aren't going down. Not got a ton planned for today, girls have optician appointments later so I expect we'll be getting the paddling pool filled after breakfast!
Hello to all that follow,

BG - We're on a proper countdown til last day of work - it's this month, woooo! You sound way more organised than me though, my replacement starts Monday and work just couldn't get any busier!
Boris - good that your BP has already started to come down, glad they are keeping an eye on you.
Daisy - it is already warming up here too, I think it is supposed to reach 32 for us today - yuck!
Noggin - glad baby is head down for you, that's good news. Definitely get that paddling pool filled up, hope you can keep cool today.
AFM - not a huge amount to report, baby was doing some serious stretching yesterday afternoon which was a bit uncomfortable but I had a bounce on my yoga ball and s/he seemed to settle into a more comfortable position, although still wriggly :) For those of you who were on yesterday. my colleague friend who went in for her c-section had a little girl, it was very emotional in the office, it's been a long-awaited BA!

Can I join in? Really interesting to know how other 3rd tri'ers are getting on.
I'm 33+2 and can't believe it's August. I phoned OH (he's away with work this week :() this morning to let him know the baby will be here next month. Eek.

Hi all - just a quickie as I have so much to do today as yesterday was a total write-off due to not getting out of bed until lunchtime (luxury!) and too much time faffing online instead of tidying up!
Baby out vibes to hose who need/want.
This month is baby month for me. Eeek!

BG, boo for an early start but good that you are leaving early. Hope the last few weeks fly by for you.
Boris, lovely to see you, glad your BP is on the way down and you are being well looked after.
Daisy, glad D is sleeping through and very much hope your H is wrong x
Noggin, hope the consultant can provide some answers and it's nothing to worry about.
Popcorn, congrats to your friend!
AFM, it's August which means I'm having a baby this month - in 11 days in fact! Am starting to get super excited now, can't wait to meet baby. We're all ready, just need to add a few things to my hospital bag the day before and make sure we have plenty of food in too, as the boys are eating me out of house and home at the moment.
Off to get my car MOTd today, taking my mum and walking into town for stuff whilst it gets done to make the most of the nice weather. Baby was doing some very uncomfortable stretches yesterday so hoping that settles today.

Bridget – look at you with your early start. Have a good day.
Boris - glad you are feeling happy and positive about things again. Your midwife clearly looking after you with weekly checks, also mmmmmmm to the cream tea. I may have to see if H will take me for one this afternoon.
Daisy – you never know it could come early. Hope you get some rest today.
Noggin – bit annoying that she was vague on your blood results. Though I’d imagine if she didn’t go into detail is probably something like that, but glad baby is head down. Paddling pool sounds fun.
Popcorn – so happy for your friend, that’s brilliant news! Hopefully baby is happy in their new position, though good to know the ball encouraged him/her to move.
Serg – of course you are welcome. Join us over here in 3rd tri! Very strange to think that after all this time, can now count down until baby arrives.
IDC – sounds like you had another amazing relaxing day yesterday. Hope you get things done today and manage a relax too.
Margot – eeek, so exciting just 11 days!
AFM – All the early labour signs I was having seemed to have calmed down, hoping they’ll kick off again soon. I had an amazing night sleep. I feel so much more with it this morning from it. The only downside from only going to the toilet 3 times (I normally go pretty much every hour) was that when I woke I kept thinking I was going to pee myself! What’s the chances of this carrying on until baby arrives? I realise that’s wishful thinking! So excited to think that this month I’m going to be a mummy! I can’t wait!!

BG hopefully your day will go quickly after such an early start
Boris- sounds like you have a nice day planned
Daisy- hope you're not too hot today and get a better nights sleep tonight
Nog- good news that baby is head down
PC lovely news about your work friend
Serg- hi and welcome to third tri
IDC what is your due date?
Margot- how exciting, 11 days will fly by.
Sapphire- glad you had a good nights sleep
AFM- had an estate agent come to value our house yesterday and the price was better than we were hoping for so its spurring me on now to do all the DIY jobs( although limited to what H will let me do as he's banned me from ladders, and as I'm only five foot and our ceilings are nine foot I've been told to paint skirting boards!! )
01/08/2013 at 09:21
Serg - welcome to 3rd tri :)
Margot - 11 days, woo! Enjoy the nice weather.
Sapphire - hopefully you continue to get a good night's sleep every night until baby is here, that would be great!
JT - good news about your house, take it easy on the DIY though. My H was very insistent that I should NOT go in the loft at the weekend, he was worried I'd get stuck in the hatch...charming! I was stuck sweeping the drive instead :)
Thanks for your kind words about my friend ladies, you're a lovely bunch x
