It was loads cooler here last night, was it where you all are?
I'm off for a spray tan tonight in readiness for the hen do I'm going on this weekend. I hope I don't go too orange. I'm having a trauma about what to wear for it, I'm convinced I look fat rather than pregnant in all my dresses. I might flash later for some advice, if you don't mind?

Morning imp, it was a bit cooler here too, although its supposed to be another boiler today.
Hen weekend sounds good, what's the plans? I'm sure your tan will be fine and definitely flash away, I'm sure you don't just look fat though lovey!
Depending what I'm wearing my H says, you look pregnant in that. I keep saying I am pregnant!!xx

Forgot to say and I must 'look pregnant' today as a man let me on the train infront of him today, that's unheard of at my station, it's like a race to get a seat!
11/07/2013 at 08:23
It was much better here, Imp - no fan needed and I got to snuggle the duvet (I find it much easier to sleep if I can wrap the duvet round me, must be a comfort thing!) Looking forward to the dress flash!
Morning MDD, how're you?
I had a shocking night's sleep. I went to bed at 10pm as I've had a couple of 11pm bedtimes and it's just not enough sleep, and at that time next door's youngest (about 2yrs) woke up screaming. We live in a terrace with pretty thin walls, so it's quite impressive that this is the first time we've heard any of their 4 children have a proper screaming crying fit! They took him into the garden when they couldn't settled him upstairs - unfortunately for me, our bedroom backs onto the gardens and it being warm, the windows were open, so it was still really loud. As he stopped, my baby started booting me, hard enough to stop me from getting to sleep. Rah!
My sciatica is much worse again - after hubby had left this morning I got up and thought I'd have to call in work sick as I couldn't actually weight bear on my left leg at all - I had no idea how I was going to walk to the bathroom, never mind get down stairs, drive to work and function all day. Well, I've done the bathroom, dressed and downstairs bit - I've also put trousers on instead of a dress so I can wear my SPD belt - so I hope it doesn't get too hot today. I could cry with the pain though, it's really wearing.

AFM I'm 19 weeks today scan in one week exactly! Pram we bought off eBay arrived yesterday and its all good (phew!) first baby purchase! Loving the cooler weather but am looking forward to the heat wave Saturday off a friends BBQ so plan on soaking up the rays!
11/07/2013 at 08:45
Imp- hope the tan goes ok. Give us a flash of your dresses definately
MDD- nice to get let on the train- you'll have to wear that outfit more often!
50s- hope your pain eases. And that you get a better nights sleep tonight
BE- didn't realise next had a sale on. So poor at the moment so will not allow myself to look or I will be tempted
AFM had midwife appointment yesterday. All was well although I may have a urine infection so have to take a sample to the gp today to get tested. She asked how big my last baby was and when I said 8lb 15 she was so shocked that she brought another two midwifes in to look at me and they all stood staring at me in disbelief that id had a baby that size ( I'm 5 foot and normally 7.5 stone so very little). They all said no way would they suggest trying for a VBAC so any uncertainties I had about if I was making the right choice going for a ECS are now gone! I was measuring perfectly average but told her I was last time too so no one knew she would be a big baby. She said she couldn't believe how I didn't measure big.
Hope everyone manages ok in the heat x
JT 26 weeks

Missed you there RL- what pram have you got? I've been looking on eBay for ages in the hopes of a bargain but think I need to accept I'm going to have to bite the bullet and pay a bit more to get one in good condition
11/07/2013 at 09:13
Imp - yes do a dress flash! Hope its a floaty number as its supposed to be roasting hot this weekend!
MDD - wow, a seat offering - lucky you :-)
Mrs50s - Sounds awful. Have you had a physio referral?
BE - I didnt realise Next had a sale on. Here was me looking on the Rohan sale this morning (outdoory clothing) They dont do maternity. Booo!
RL - yaay for pram :-)
JT - I was told big babies are easier as gravity helps. LOL
AFM - well my toddler has just appeared waving my (washed+clean) sample bottle around. Do'h that will teach me to leave it in bathroom! Planning to do a bit of baking today for her birthday party at the weekend - namely bakewell pie, key lime pie and flapjack. My poor dishwasher!!
11/07/2013 at 09:53
Jellytot - got a quinny buzz 3 (pushchair/pram and maxi cosi car seat) all for £200 + £30 shipping! Its in really good condition the only thing I've had to do is buy the adaptor for the car seat and pram as she didn't have them (used the pram as a carry cot and the car seat just in the car!) but they only cost £10 off eBay as well lol I was going to get a new pram etc but wouldn't of been able to afford to buy this one new so quite pleased!
11/07/2013 at 10:12
Gosh i should have got here a bit earlier. Its busy already!
Imp - i'm sure your spray tan will be fine, do you know which tan they use? I use st tropez and i love it. Get flashing those dresses! Im sure you look lovely in them.
MissDeeDee - nice of him to let you on the train first.
Mrs50s - sounds like you had an awful night, hopefully tonight is better for you. I live in a terraced too and we always hear next doors kids screaming and tantrauming, so i can sympathise with that.
Rosy Lee - my pram came yesterday too, makes it all feel so much more real now doesnt it, H got really excited when he saw it.
JT - Oooh water infections are nasty, i havent had one in pregnancy yet luckily, hope it clears up soon for you. Silly question but what does VBAC and ECS stand for?
HF - Those three cakes are my favourites! Im so jealous, i might pop round for a taster of each, you wouldn't want to be serving them to anyone if they're not perfect! ;-)
AFM - Pram came yesterday and im so pleased with it, took me a while to put it all together but its done and looks fab, cant wait to put baby in it. Moses basket also came but it had some stains on the fabric of the hood, so ill be sending that one back and asking for another! Think i might wash my car today, its white and so looks filthy. Then i might pop into town for a stroll round the shops. Aquanatal tonight!
11/07/2013 at 10:14
mummysimpson - its very real now we have the pram also on another note have you been to aquanatal before how do you find it? I have booked myself on a yoga aquanatal set of classes starting in August (I'm 19 weeks) quite looking forward to it!
11/07/2013 at 10:19
Yeah i love it Rosy Lee, but i just love being in the water anyway, tried to find a pregnancy yoga class near me but there dont seem to be any decent ones near by. Hope you enjoy yours! x
11/07/2013 at 10:36
HF sounds like you have a busy day ahead!
RL that sounds like an absolute bargain. And exciting to have it all set up
MS - VBAC stands for vaginal birth after Caesarian ,( I had an emergency C- section with W). ECS stands for elective Caesarian section.
We've just bought a white car so I know what you mean. It shows up dirt so quickly.
